[Applause] the Leafs gutsy come back from 3-1 down falls short here in game seven well a lot of great performances in this game there was just battles all over the ice and mutual respect osta not challenged by his head coach after game six kind of fitting for him that he comes up with the biggest goal to move them on to round two Jeremy swedan with 30 stops one more and ssov on the [Applause] night both teams wanted another crack at the Florida Panthers it’s the Boston Bruins who get [Applause] it you go back three games ago and all the chaos around the Leafs after their loss on home ice and then probably three of their best games defensively in any playoff year and still the end result there’s four straight game seven losses against these Bruins since 2013 four goals of gates in the last three games and it’s still not enough a lot of talk about how much change there would be when they were down 3-1 and on the verge of elimination you wonder how much the last three games will change if at all that narrative in Toronto let’s go down to ice level here’s Kyle all right alongside the Bruins Captain Brad marshan Brad another game seven against Toronto you come out on the right side of how did you do it this time just believe um you know we we believed in our group all year and uh that didn’t change um you know uh shaty gave us at Hall of speech last night but how to believe in our group and play for each other and we did that today I know you didn’t not want to think about last year but man it seemed harder and harder to ignore as this wore on how would you describe the relief yeah it did I mean especially with how much it was talked about but you know again we we really tried not just right now but all year to stay on the moment and we did a really good job at that no matter what happened they’re a hell of a team we knew they were going to push um and they did they played a hell of a series but uh it’s good to say in the moment there your coach said this morning he was at ease walking in seeing a big smile on David pasto’s face what was your sense of him yeah you know he played all of a game today and uh all morning he KN he was dialed in and um you know from the the time we got to the hotel last night he knew that he was going to have a big game today and he did he showed up congratulations see in Florida thank you Chris [Music]

  1. Keefe has poorly coached this team for a very long time. He overvalued Jarnkrok and Holmberg way too much. Their numbers are horrible yet they play big minutes in important positions. Holmberg is barely an nhl player, a strong breeze knocks him off the puck. Jarnkroks shooting percentage is awful or he puts in right on the goalies number's. Let him just play the penalty kill if need be. Now take a player like Robertson who produces more on less minutes. And we reward him by either sending him down or lampooning him on a 4th line.
He may not kill the penalty but the leafs have plenty of players to fill that role.
Early in the series, samsonov was getting beat easily and not able to even spot the play, yet it took a last ditch effort to put woll in.
During the season, we lost every overtime that kampf started.
His line pairings don't match north vs south skaters vs lateral skaters.
The list goes on and on.

  2. I'm a Bruins fan but not going to crap on the Leafs. B's barely got by with the one goal differentials. We could easily be the ones cleaning out our lockers. Probably will after the Florida series if they don't find a way to turn things around.

  3. I take much joy in seeing the Laughs lose in the most heartbreaking ways, the awful pathetic cheerleading eastern media is silenced, at least for now, enjoy the hurt…………EASTERN BASTARDS

  4. It's interesting that people refer to Marchand as a 'rat', or use any number of pejoratives to describe him. He wins. Period. That's why you guys are mad: you DON'T win. Look in the mirror and take your anger out there; that's who you're truly mad at.

  5. They should make the day the leafs lose in the playoffs, (again). A national holiday, so everyone has time to be upset about it.

  6. Matthews, the "Goat", makes his team worse – 2 of the 3 games won by Leafs where in the absence of the "Goat". Matthews, the "Hyped Goat", played in all 4 losses. Facts. Reach your conclusions. Ah, but the "Goat" made 69 goals, awesome. Individual-oriented player.

  7. Corp four ? How do they get into the playoffs ,this is another example of teams with the ranking to get into the playoffs but not good enough to beat any team that has a higher standing

  8. 3 Leaf players standing there while Boston skates in on a easy lob shot and walks in and scores. Not One leaf skated to pick him up. Enjoy your Golf season boys!!

  9. being on the wrong end of the hand shake happens way more often for most players. but the fact the leafs deal with this every single year minus one series last year, it is just a culture problem. they need to revamp the upper management who doesnt double down on some gutless, heartless players (Marner)

  10. I always want Boston and Marchand to lose…but, .yep, Toronto 'big guns' did the usual face plant just when they needed gritty production. Auston Matthews 💩4pts, Matthew Knies 💩3pts, William Nylander💩3pts, Mitch Marner 💩3pts, Morgan Rielly 💩3pts, and John Tavares 💩2pts FFS!!! The closer Auston Matthews got to 70 goals in regular season the more likely the leafs wouldn't make it past the 1st round. Swish! But overall, Toronto coaching was sub-par sans creative thinking mixed with absolute disciplined team play.

  11. Now, I want trades and Ron Maclean to liken this game mentioned in Kristi Noem's book, especially in the same chapter where she said she killed her dog. "Yeah, every game 7 is like when your dog dies."

  12. What’s interesting is that my die hard leaf fans are not that upset…they were expecting it….to bad the powers that be decided not to play wol …lied about him being sick so they could play Sammy….and although Sammy played a great game that last play he should knocked it away…because the other leafs were no where to be found…..that’s the end of this 10 year experiment mess…

  13. Don't believe any words from leafs management going forward until team goes deep into playoffs. Excuses & lies for 50 years

  14. SN has so many close-ups of LEAFS#44 that it makes me feel sick.

Hedman and Josi also lack the quickness of play, but they have a High Hockey IQ that #44 doesn't have,
and they often find gaps in their opponents and outwit them.

This is a talent that an old, linear type like #44 cannot have for a lifetime.

  15. Does anybody smell that stench? There it is again! ??? Oh wait, thats the stench of Boston, so IF the refs aren’t rigged as always, lets hope Florida rids the playoffs of that stench once and for all by sending the Bruins home!
