so what do you do when it’s been raining and you get into a bunker and it’s really quite hard packed now what we’ve done here is we’ve raked a section and you can see there that it’s there’s a fair bit of sand under there and once it’s raked it’s okay but when it’s not raged and I’ll Dro my ball here you can see it runs down and it’s really quite hard packed so what you need to do is decide before you hit the shot is it is there enough sand under there for me to get the club under and play it like a normal Splash bunker shot or do I need to pick it off the top a bit like um a pitch shock so obviously we’ve R detection which you can’t normally do but what you can do is when you walk in you can feel it with your feet just to see if there’s plenty of sand under there now if you decide to play it like a normal bunker shop all you’re going to do is choose your most lofted Club um ideally a lob wedge if you’ve got one if not the sand wedge is fine but the extra Loft helps to chop through that heavy sand and then you’re going to play it like a normal bunker shop but with a lot more commitment because it’s heavy you need to get that club and really give it plenty so that’s how we’re going to do it we’re going to play it like a normal shot and we’re going to get really positive and splash that sand all righty so that’s what you need to do when it’s a bit hard packed
