[Applause]
Shu and taning being
introduced to the
arena ahead of this time
[Music]
for the
course this is R this is silver great
for you silver for you great you want to
course what do you
choose side serve for receive P to serve
back to serve P to
[Music]
receive now here’s a look at the bracket
then in the women’s doubles event what
rise earlier as CH defeated
CH world number on and two time Asian
Champions knocked out of the competition
at the semifinal stage an incredible
result for Tong and Tong and uh they
will be watching on to see who joins
them in the final will it be taning and
Le shangu or Beck Hana and
isui it’s the four seeds up against the
the second
seed this competition it is
also the world number two be and isui up
against the world number four in women’s
doubles shenu and T
ning relatively new rivalry this one
we’ve only met the on three occasions
prior to
this all three of those meetings
coming last year the first one in
February at the binton Asia mix Team
Championships p and isui coming away
winners there
2116
2116 second meeting was at the Madrid
Spain Masters
2023 in
April Le Shu and th ning would come out
winners in that one 216
2114 the last time they faced off
against other was in junee at the
Thailand open
2023 beana and ISU he the winners that
time 22 20 214 so pretty even pretty
balanced between these pairs expecting a
similar situation
here as they come up against each other
lots of quality out on this
play the if you are just joining us we
had some EX excellent batminton in the
first
session five wonderful
matches we begin with a woman single
semi-final W to looking for her second
Bon Asia championship title was in
action earlier that’s Jason
Fu onire for this one service judge Ravi
Kumar
Dixit one to8 taking on hering taiao in
that semi-final
not coming away the winner 2119
2117 and then we had the other women’s
singles semi-final straight after that
chenu taking to the court to welcome the
challenge of Han CH 2115 2116 winner
there so we will
have W and CH coming up against each
other in the final in the woman’s
singles
tomorrow we also have had the women’s
doubles the first semi-finals I
mentioned earlier Tong and
Tong with a massive win over Chun and J
214
216 on my
right
and and on my left losing Sho and
tangling China
[Music]
and after that uh first semi-final the
women’s doubles we had the men’s double
semi-final nor Malayan contest that one
kosa and nor
isin bringing a surprise there picking
up just their second ever Victory
against Aron Chan soik
J nor is in the surprise package in the
men’s doubles contest 214 2118 winners
they’ve had a tough road into the final
absolutely deserve to be
there wait to see who they end up
meeting we have a men’s doubles
semi-final coming up after this fixture
here but before we ended the first
session we had a brilliant men’s single
semi-final between shiuchi and Jonathan
Christie full of drama full of
action very pacy High Tempo contest that
was won in the end by Jonathan Christie
making it into another final coming into
this competition at the end of
uh the title that he won at the all
England in really good form tonan
Christie losing the first game there
1821 before bouncing back in the next
two to win 2119 and
2112 disappointment for shiu has a set
for a bronze and a semi-final exit and
an opportunity for Jonathan Christie to
go on into the men’s singles
final and try and uh make up for that
heartbreak a couple of years ago when he
missed out on the title to
Poli here we are then in this double
semi-final second woman’s double
semi-final of the day we kick things off
oh second
session a very good crowd out here the
Nimo Olympic sports center
gymnasium they’ve had a lot to cheer
China have done really well in this uh
tournament lot of
representation dominating the uh women’s
singles the women’s doubles
here looking to make it in all China
final only the Korean pair of Le and
back standing in the
[Applause]
way both these pairings by the way as
well coming
into this tournament in good
form they both had a pretty successful
starts to
2024 Chinese
pair winning the first title of the year
the Malaysia
open went all the way there and actually
defeated CH and Tung Yu 218 218 in the
final in
qualo then there was was perhaps a bit
of a surprise early exit at the India
open quickly recovered to win another
title this time at the Indonesia
Masters again once again
defeating oh somean and someu in three
games losing the first one 1021 and then
2119
2220 pick up their second title of the
year
then finished third at the French Open
then there was that round of 16 exit in
Birmingham before taking part here at
the bank of Ningbo badminton Asia
championships
[Applause]
2024 be and Le
also had a decent start to the
year they finished third at the Malaysia
open losing out in the semi-final there
to Tangen and Tong Yu and finished third
again at the uh India
open that time they were knocked out at
the semi-final stage Japan Mayu
Matsumoto and wakana
nagahara
1621 what a final exit for the Koreans
at the French
Open followed that again losing to
Matsuyama and
chihara before
winning the all England open in
Birmingham in the middle of
March getting revenge over Matsuyama and
shida in the final big title for be and
ISU that 2119 1121 2117 six epic contest
in the final of the all England open to
pick up the title
there before coming into this tournament
doing well here as well into the
semi-finals great
start wonderful atmosphere here
plenty three
for the uh ches fans to enjoy lots to
celebrate
[Applause]
great smash there
47 the trajectory on that
from
Lee he with a wonderful Smash down into
the ground
chance I’ve actually been pretty
comfortable in this uh competition had a
bit of trouble in the second game
yesterday against matoto and nagahara
but uh they won that first game 218
second one 217 to progress into the
semi-final didn’t have to play in the
round of 16 there was a walk over
there and uh in the round of 32 they
took on two qualifiers from India singi
and Taker and again it was very easy for
Becken Le 215
217
lean also pretty straightforward route
for them in the round of 32 also
defeating a pair from India jolly and
GOP Chand 212
2111 and they took on who and Lynn
from Tony St pair of qualifiers who did
actually really well to make it into the
round of
16 went winning that 213
2116 and then they had a quarterfinals
yesterday where they came up against Lee
and shin
and shin who actually knocked out
Fukushima and
hiroa at the round of 32 did really well
to progress into the
quarterfinals but they were defeated by
Le and th 1721
1121 so this is where we are
now all these bearings have got it to
this
stage of the competition
[Applause]
beana and isui finishing Runners
up the Bon Asia championships in Dubai
last year losing out to Yuki Fukushima

withen to win the Indonesia Masters on
the bwf world
t for then uh rejoining
tan it’s a partnership that has really
excelled been on a very good run I
mentioned those two titles already this
year the Malaysia open and the Indonesia
Masters for them we also winners at the
Arctic open and the French Open last
year to go along with the Indonesia
Masters
title and Spain Masters title and
US Open title well from
2023 making some serious uh waves in the
world of women’s doubl
baton this
pairing 15 see a pairing that
uh has a great understanding and a
wonderful relationship on the court
both very very young Li shangu just
20 tning 21
you can see how much power they have in
their play it’s so quick as well across
the court some coverage and have the
ability to really attack with

game having a few issues here and
dealing with the tempo of this match
just happening at such a quick
Pace aggressive with their attacking
play right from the start and they’ve
managed to keep that Tempo and the pace
consistent here a pair from
[Applause]
China absolutely no fear in their play
and you can see that they are
coming into this with lots of confidence
so much success that they’ve had over
the
last couple of
years time that they’ve been together
flying towards the win here in game one
going cut across there and then go down

foran but there seems to be a bit of a
concern
here looking like she might be needing
some
treatment see all the strapping there
around her ankle wait for the put the
shoe on put the shoe put the do not
remove the sh without the do
permission
umpire don’t know if you just heard that
but the Umpire is just starting enough
to remove a sh without the doctor’s
permission already gone ahead to do
so having a bit of an issue with the
ankle
there getting some attention getting
some
treatment a lot of strapping down that
side of the leg

this
tournament made a good run here into the

well
Sil 11

several I should say Asian

championships silver medal last year but
she also has two bronze medals to her
name both coming in 2016 and 2017

when she was partnered with

[Applause]
making this very interesting up back and
[Applause]
le le and town just seem to have lost a
little bit of momentum here it’s not
that same Pacey start that we saw from
them in the first game things have just
slowed down somewhat and uh be and Lee
have been able
to stre in their composure
get into the element here a little bit
more
[Applause]
[Applause]
16 15
[Music]
it’s so important that he’s trying to
pick this up
again it can be that element of danger
here where Beck and Lee start to get
encourage they pick up the win here they
level things up at one game each and
then have that lift going into the third
game we’ve seen it happen
sure see struggle earlier after winning
the first game all Jonathan Christie to
get back into it and then just faded in
the third
it’s going wide it’s going well
[Music]
wide 17 16
[Applause]
[Applause]
18 16
[Applause]
[Applause]
back to
one dramatic this second game here very
interesting and potentially forcing a
third look like it would have been
potentially oneway traffic after the way
Le and th blazed through that first game
hasn’t turned out to be the
[Applause]
case 18
[Applause]

particular

responding the pressure of having to

[Applause]
[Applause]
oh giv this away I’m not giving this
game away easily lovely bit of invention
though that one from be very smart the
series of smashes weren’t working went
with the softer touch and the drop shot
and that did the
trick right there I couldn’t react in

matchup has
shifted this is
[Applause]
two play the

Championships and the world junior
Championship with the EU rim

[Applause]
speech
[Applause]
that’s another issue
[Applause]
here there was a concern earlier with
the Pana and her
ankle the right
leg in need of uh oh it’s not her this
time it’s
actually move on the other side of the
court
time she’s got quite a bit of strapping
on
her right ankle as well
getting a bit of that uh magic spray
treatment on
the ankle looks like might be the
Achilles no concern
honey get
ready there
[Applause]
couple of stoppages for injuries to be
attended
to hopefully the issue here with
the ding is resolved and will be okay to
continue be a real shame if uh she needs
to retire from this
contest see how it goes with
[Applause]
[Applause]
that’s good
work from ISU but it was just far too
much to do in the end clever play
knocking it back towards the
Baseline sping the far end of the Court
looped over
be but really good work at the net
initially a nice battle
there 5 4
it’s right in
that box in the corner there
[Applause]
the back alley of the
Court position off the uh shut off with
that point starting to look really good
for Beck and
Lee pretty good turnaround
this just struggled to really deal with
the pace and the tempo in the first game
but uh the momentum is really shifted
here turn around in a
second that
run brn those points back
anding themselves into
nice play for now though a lot can
change still very long left to go in
this
[Applause]
contest Los in the first game
1221 beai isui winning the second 2118
hitting the one hour mark in this
contest
[Applause]
here just stood there looking at each
other Li
andan first time that has happened in
this matchup
[Applause]
wow second time she’s done that be H
wonderful drop
shot so towards the end of the second
game the point that they needed to Win
It Again an unexpected drop shot
wonderful
Touch look really deflated at the moment
excellent drop shot that from
[Applause]
Becka 10
oh
[Applause]
a bit of Reve
there something to celebrate something
to
enjoy not had too many moments of those
in this uh important third game so far
[Applause]
[Applause]
good use of that rhe in defense
Le time searching forward good effort in
defense there but it were just hanging
on and hanging onely Beck and Le with
just too much power going for the
opportunity to make the
kill and going into the interval with
the healthy five-point lead 116
seconds seconds
[Applause]

there 11 correct
[Applause]
call the relief and the joy of the crowd
here
straight through the middle completely
missing that
[Applause]
it’s going to be a challenge here that
looked really close out not sure if that
was actually going to be
[Applause]
uh call this in it was call as an out
challenge
unsuccessful One Challenge
remaining
138 call from the line
judge decision upheld
B can Lee up to
13 too much force behind that she was
almost falling over backwards as she
made a connection with it Beck and Lee
in a great great position here
[Applause]
now take an allmighty effort here from
uh Le and
[Music]
tan try and drag themselves back into
this
contest that’s incredible how just how
quickly they faded here in this one
after such an explosive start to the
first game and we looking so good in how
they were approaching it constantly on
the attack putting a be and E under so
much
pressure of credit has to go to Beck and
for the way they’ve turned things around
in this matchup there was no Panic from
them was
there the way they lost at first
was a case of saying okay fine that
wasn’t the
best try and forget about that and get
on with it still games to be
won went down in the second game to do
exactly
[Applause]
that must have been close as well
going to go for the
[Applause]
challenge the call there they do still
have a pretty nice cushion here
[Applause]
that’s that was an apology there from
her
isui wasn’t too pleased with the shot
that she played there giving tan the
opportunity to power it through right
down the middle
[Applause]
[Applause]
[Music]
15 lot of tension on the coach’s chair
[Applause]
that’s just looping
[Applause]
over onto that back alley of the Court
[Music]
[Applause]
10 Vice coming through for Beck and Lee
as well who are six points clear
[Applause]
11
[Music]
16 too happy with a
[Applause]
service return with plenty of purchase
on that
[Applause]
[Applause]
[Applause]
171 18 11
it’s tough at this stage to see a
comeback here from Li
andan they’re trying still looking to
fight for every
[Applause]
Point has been really frustrated on the
sidelines there it’s uh can be quite
difficult because you got no control
essentially over what happens out on the
court
that’s a frustration some coaches feel
sometimes watching from the
sidelines everything always easier in
theory easier to talk
about execution and the reality of the
situation
courau always a lot more difficult
match point for Beck and
[Applause]
Lee there you go back to back finals for
be and e to he missed out on the goal
missed out on the title last year and
they’ll get another shot at
Redemption a really good win for them as
well having to recover from losing the
first
game fighting their way
back1 making their way through into the
final think onong
Shen T Yu who also excellent in their
match against Ching CH and
Chan be and ISU he preventing an all
China final from taking
[Applause]
place taking a third game in this one
2112 I’ll be delighted with the
performance here what a come back what a
result and another final to take part in
1221 218 2112 be Han and isui into the

here’s our second semifinal in the men’s
doubles the
unseated and young P Swan of Chinese Ty
up against the 13s D and Wang
Chang we all already had one unseeded
Fair make their way into the finals of
the men’s double event here and that
Wasing of go and nor isin who took on
Malaysians ER CH and soik the
14 a stunning display to knock them out
of the contest and to make their way
into the main event they wait to see who
they will be coming up against
yeah another big
difference in terms of the
rankings between these two pairings it’s
the world number
[Applause]
three W Chong and langang Kong up
against the world number 14 pairing of
Le and yang
[Music]
hosan this will be just the fourth time
going to be coming up against each other
the very first meeting was all the way
back in August of 2022 at the Japan open
Kung and Wang Chang with the win 2119
2119 and then they met twice this year
once at the India open and once at the
French Open at the India open at Kung
and Wang Chang number one seeds
there picked up the victory 2118 2118
two straight games then at the French
Open it was the turn of Liah and
youngan to win for the first time
against langang and Wang needed three
games to do so 217 2123 and then
2115 looking at these scores it has
always been very close between these two
pairings in spite of the difference in
the
rankings and perhaps in the
difference in
how these players have done so far this
year rent Bongo from Indonesia the
Umpire for this
one say Steven Liang from Malaysia the
service
judge for one and
langang here started off with the title
win at the Malaysia open
all the way through to defeat sataj
ranki and chetti in the final there 58
minutes needed three games to do so they
lost the ladies and gentlemen first game
921 on the second 2118 and the third 217
toown
China and on my left n way and young
Chinese
Ty one to
after a title win at the Malaysia open
though there were three consecutive
round of 16 exits at the India open the
French Open and at the all England
open making the way into the semi-final
here for the worldall number
14 from Chinese type a silver one played
in a few more tournaments than their
opponents there was around a 16 exit for
them at the Malaysia
open lost to kangin huk and
J in first round exit at the India open
followed by another first round exited
the Indonesia
Masters for going to
Thailand and
uh making a quarterfinal appearance
there the Thailand Masters
eliminated in The quarterfinal stage by
Muhammad sh and Bas
maana won a title at the yex German
open in early
March off the
year
hangu in the final there in one hour
exactly that’s the first game 1521 and
2321
2321 take that
title very impressive performances after
that as well because
they finished second at the French Open
just missing out on the title after
losing to ranki and
Shetty obviously
beating way Kung and Wang Chang in the
round of 16 on their way through to that
second place finish and then uh third
place
it’s over semi-final exit at the all
England open
lost 1621 1521 so coming into this with
pretty good confidence and form which
has
helped carry them through into the
semifinal
[Applause]
over whoever it is who goes through from
this one is uh going to have quite the
matchup in that final tomorrow
because had such a great tournament so
far come through so many challenges and
they won’t
fear either of these two pairings still
be relishing the opportunity to face off
against either of
them really is very interesting how the
men’s doubles event has panned out here
spoke earlier about ranky and Shetty
having to pull out the number one seeds
initially injury shoulder injury for
rank ready meaning they had to look
ahead to the other challenges of the
Year focus on those things and make sure
they were fit enough to
contest those other
[Applause]
tournaments strong enough to really make
an impression here so they decided to
pull out and then K and were knocked out
by go and norin in the first round
you have your number three seed here
Kung and W Chong coming up against
another
unseeded doubles
pairing 6 7
[Applause]
and young were actually drawn to take on
Rank and Shetty in the first round of
this
tournament having a walk over there with
the withdrawal of ranky R and Shetty
which saw them go through into round of
16 s took on Malaysian pairing of man
and
T lean young with the 2118 217 Victory
there sent them into a quarterfinal
Showdown against
POI the fifth seed of Japan go to three
games in the first game 1421 winning the
next two 218
217 to progress into the semi-final
so they’ve had a a tough challenge
yesterday that’s some good opposition
plent of power behind that from Young
F right down the
middle Yang and Wong pretty comfortable
in the opening round defeated Gaga and
prti 2114
2117 and then uh defeated endo and 214
215 in the round of
16
over 10 and then played a great game
against alfan and aranto yesterday
number three seeds Lang and Wang up
against the number six seeds alfan and
arant was a thrilling contest won the
first game 2119 Alan and aranto bounce
back to win the second game
2112 and Lang and Wong went on to take
de side at
2117
over go into the interval here three
points ahead 118 to L and one
30 seconds 30 seconds
off 11
8 he
[Applause]
Serv sober 9 12
the crowd wanted helang to go for
power went for the drop shot instead and
it’s uh something that hasn’t quite paid

losing out on that
[Music]

point going for power this
time but he put his H Team in trouble
there
here W with his play at the
net he lifting it into the B for young
poan to apply the kill at the
net over 13 11
before he uh partnered the young post
one who was actually together with
the Le young in the doubles champions of
the 2016 Vietnam open Grand
[Applause]
Prix over 12 13
won that double title in 2017 with Lee
Young at the French
Open 13
[Applause]
B picked up the bronze medal with Lee
Young at the
2018 Asian Games
[Applause]
with that for bwf worldour titles with
his partner young
powan first one coming at the 2019 n
China Masters
and another at the Korea Masters he beat
his former partner Lee Young And W chil
in the final
there over
[Music]
14 third one with the Yang pan coming in
the German open this
[Applause]
year start over 154
[Applause]
of face behind that for young want to
sort of redirect and block it back
towards the other side of the net there
[Applause]
three PW have for titles
four post
one three of them coming in this
partnership
[Applause]
with also with said four titles earlier
one of them coming in the mix doubles
with the suing at the 2019 US Open
so over 15
17 195
[Applause]
and young going to try and create some
history at this tournament over
attempting to make it into the first
ever final of the badminton Asia
championships
had Lee Young And W Chi Lin in the
semi-finals in Dubai last year they had
to settle for bronze the last time we
actually had a men’s doubles pairing
from Chinese back
in0
un
L losing in that final to Chu and Y
North Korea Republic
as far as I can tell that Chinese ta
have never
had Asian champions in the men’s
doubles Challengers called out there’s a
challenge here
challeng
unsuccessful one chaleng
remaining Sav silver 17 19
[Applause]
[Applause]
going flight across initially at the

[Applause]
court Point ending up with Lang and
[Applause]
Wang interesting that from Young P Swan
changed his mind about the type of shot
he wanted to hit that’s gone wide first
game first game by going to the number
three seeds
217 and

really raising the deciel levels
here with the performance in this one
especially after that spectacular record
change during the
rally and ending up winning the point
[Applause]
great work together
there long
chunk leaving the back
court
toang expecting the shutle to arrive for
the kill which it
[Applause]
did very quickly up to three
[Applause]
[Music]
that silver one three
[Applause]

One 5 1
great start this one quick Off the Mark
here L and
W and young
still just looking to try and get into
some sort of
momentum but things like that will
help put that consistency together now
[Applause]
a
mistake going be too eager try and
please the
uh crowd in those
situations to be very
aggressive times patience is perhaps the
better
idea the moment isn’t there to go for
the kill
[Applause]
[Applause]
73
[Applause]
great defending from W
CH just F in towards Yang
Kung going to readjust get his hands in
the right
position was fired in at him conting
with the shuttle far too late too close
to the body not being able to really
just direct it back
have to readjust
quickly losing that passage of play Four
Points a difference
the right moment to attack completely
misses the shuttle there leite

bit frustration
there no real reason to panic at all is
still looking very much in control of
this one young and Wang of course that
can shift around very quickly from the
pattern of how it’s been going they
should be all
[Music]
right as well just finding it a little
bit
difficult in this uh second game
a drop really well placed
there nice uh combination
work the Chinese pair going to an
interval Five Points in the lead
20 seconds
11
6 play
[Applause]
lovely work again okay gets a decent bit
of luck with the touch coming off the
tape but that was the angle he was
looking for anyway
you 13
[Applause]
[Applause]
S silver 7 13
picks out the corner well they need
every little bit of encouragement that
they can get and this one lean young has
been a pretty one-sided
contest got the respon from Le and young
we were expecting in this second game
still time for that to change
potentially they can go on a run here
10
1 yeah making that several levers here
now young and Wong
[Applause]
11 13
[Applause]
[Applause]
[Applause]
12 wow well play their way back into
this lean Yang wasn’t looking likely but
somehow leang and Wong have suddenly
been affected by a series of mistakes
that has just open this up again
[Applause]
after 13 all
now getting involved looking to try and
uh
just wake young and Wong
up just falling asleep
here that lead regained it now
[Applause]
[Applause]
there over 14 over
[Applause]
looking for the
kill with that in that pass play and
they not waste it this time young
way and one ch
[Applause]
striking hard striking with conviction
[Applause]
[Applause]
[Applause]
now starting to open up that lead again
after a little moment of panic there
where they out Le and yang to get
themselves back
level Lang and Wong playing a few games
perhaps coming back in control let’s see
how long that control last
[Applause]
Good Fortune
Way the touch of the net
[Applause]
there off the top off the tape and just
rolling right over fortunately for him
[Applause]
W over 18 15
[Music]
[Applause]
the mistake
there by the power off that shot from W
CH react in
time straight into the net
[Applause]
changing it up with a couple of Drop
shots back to the smash varries the
tempo out wide one point away from
winning this match and progressing into
the final
[Applause]
[Applause]
now over 16 20
[Applause]
still having to wait
here CR
anticipating that point that will uh end
this match allow young and Wong to
progress into the
final they will come up against go and
noris
zudin both pairings into
the final of the badminton Asia
championships for the first time is if
Lang and one get this across the line
which they
do they’ve done
it nervy moments in this second game but
eventually regaining control of this one
and winning the second game
217 to progress into tomorrow’s
final a really good tournament played so
far
[Applause]
continue pulling off those
wins they will be playing on their
first binton Asia championship’s
final and it will be taking
on J and nor isin who against the odds
have made their way into the final and
the men’s doubled contest the highest
ranked pairing left in the competition
in this event not disappointing here in
the semi-final they go through 217 217

you well next up on our list of matches
same the second session here makes
double semi-finals between Tung way and
wangong of
China taking
on
andj the
Republic
real heavyweight contest this one but a
tough
tough open up for JJ
J World number
one in this event up against world
number
four lot of meetings between these two
[Applause]
pairings 17 in total coming into this
one this will be number
18 and Chu Jung and sios J have won just
twice against Wang Chong and CH
incredibly one-sided in that regard 15
wins for hang and Tung complete
dominance
really Tung and
hang are on a run
here they’ve won each of their last
six matches against SE and
CH go all the way back to October of
2018 at the French Open for the first
meeting between these pairs that was won
by and hang Yong 219
2114 actually win their first nine
matches against the uh
Koreans before siung J and Chu Jong
would finally get their first win
against against T way and hang Yong at
the world
championships in August of last
year they would follow that up with
another Victory just their second
against them at the China open in
September of 2023 they say
omidan the Umpire for this
one Jason Fu the service
judge order was restored after that
second win for the Koreans at the China
open
and since then it’s been all T way Hong
once again on that
streak nine wins in a row to start
off had that uh streak broken with the
two back-to-back wins for tanio and
they’re now on a new streak of six
consecutive wins against the world
number
four incredible partnership
[Music]
one quter final exit for them at the
Malaysia open the start of the
Year
lost finals to another Korean
Fair Jun
[Applause]
to first
to P the side of
the
for after that quarterfinal exit at the
Malaysia open he went on to win
the Indonesia
Masters defeating hiroi Kawa natuo in
the final there 2115
2116 get some revenge over kinan Po and
also at the Indonesia Masters 2111 2118
win in the semi-final there against
them would uh be followed up with the
quarterfinal exit at the French
Open
Hong be more success for them at the all
England open they would secure their
title in some style feting Utah watab
and harisa higashino 2116 2111 just 38
minutes
in fact on a run towards that
title didn’t have a match that went
longer than 40 minutes
[Applause]
for and
so quarter final exit for them at the
Malia open followed by another
quarterfinal exit at the India
open came close to winning the
title in Paris at the French Open just
lost in the
final
coming familiar Falls for them as well F
turn fonging also in action in our final
match of the
night so and CH with the disappointing
first round exit at the all England
open before coming into this tournament
here
[Applause]
[Music]
[Applause]
[Music]
good return from Chay there facing up to
the power up that the smash br
way got enough in the
end start to this
contest and
hang well when it’s going well think up
that fall for
you that’s frustration for chance
there’s not too much they could do about
that takes a big touch of the tape and
there’s no way for them to react as they
look on staring
down s and
hang is forward 2 eight
[Applause]
and hang six-point cap they’ve created
for
themselves puts them in nice comfortable
position gives a lot to
do come back in this but another quick
Point
T was pouncing on that opportunity me
straight across with the switch
up forward 39
so much power on smashes as
well right acrost that was brilliantly
dealt with why
H try bend it down on the outside line
[Applause]
there accuracy was well
off from
s long with kangmin huk was part of the
uh men’s doubles they were knocked out
very early
on still around the
tournament
comfortably the interv

title hang last year chance for a bit of
Revenge in this
one 5
11 said they might be the world
champions and but T and
hanga really showing them exactly
why they are the uh world number ones
and also three time world champions
themselves it’s interesting with chungi
way was that he actually play the 2017
World Championship with Chun Ching Chun
up of silver then and then in 2018 took
part with hangy
Chong and backto back World
Championships in 18 and
19 in China then in
Switzerland won another world
championship title in 2022 in
Tokyo One Asian Championship so far 2022
Manila when they defeated Wang Yu and
Hong Bing in the final then
there is a challenge here now
successful two time gold medalist at the
Asian Games as
well
H the first title of
2018 and
then games last year
really
dominant very py start to this full of
[Applause]
energy Bron medals
and he makes TBL in
HTO put under all sorts of pressure
here and H cruising along very
nicely making a light
work of their opposition
straight across love the rotations here
wonderful understanding that they’ve got
and hang Yong
[Music]
for
76 8 16
[Applause]
step for 178
18 took a touch on the tape but
uh fell on their side of the
Court Good Fortune there they’ve been
victims
of that already in this one
try and reverse their
fortunes have to wait until the second
game to do that if they
can need a big reset during the break
yet because
uh T and hang just looking so
comfortable great momentum as well
[Applause]
so to change it up then a bit more pace
[Applause]
CH really not expecting that at all was
an invention such uh intelligence in how
they change it up in that
passage that’s going quickly
across put enough zip on that to cause a
problem for
CH also into a
[Applause]
mistake game point for Tung and hang
20
[Applause]
[Applause]
[Applause]
and there you go W sealing up the game
there
219 so so
impressive a brilliant start for the
semi-final for the world number
ones complete dominance there

all play
we go back out for the second game and
straight away of the mark a
point and
hang going to continue the dominance try
and make sure they set their Authority
here not give any encouragement to C
and desperately looking for a way back
the
Koreans really didn’t show up at all
in the first game and weren given an
opportunity to get into
it couple
of errors in
succession by
[Applause]
hang been uh relatively comfortable in
this tournament 2115 2115 victory over
CH and to from Malaysia and the round of
32 and then a 2111
2111 very comfortable win against
singapor and Jessica Tan in the round of
16 progressing into the
quarterfinals took
on 2111 2220 win there technically in
the Final
[Applause]
Four J with a very tough
quarterfinal yesterday again against
the Ty bearing
OFA ruko
andat
chai actually won the first game 217
before and recovered to win that 2111
213 prior to that
defe raldi and manari of Indonesia in
the round of
16 218
2114 and he came through pretty
comfortably in the uh round of 32 2115
2113 against year and Le of Chinese
type up against it here but it’s been a
decent start for this second game by
C excellent from tene
way almost getting themselves out of
trouble
there some very quick
defending so important in that moment
for s j to pounce and make sure
absolutely sure that they will pick up
the point because uh they almost got
themselves out of trouble
[Applause]
to four five
[Music]

one looking like a much tighter Affair
this second game now is great for the
rest of us watching on
Blown Away in the first
219 some
respectability this mixed double
semi-final not allowing Tong and hang
to just have it all their way
[Applause]

six looking for trying to extend that
lead to three scor four the far corner

still at two points the difference
there much more control performance here
keeping T and Fong on the

there that’s much better from s going
into the interval with that three-point
lead

try to make things interesting here Tung
and hang there’s absolutely no way
they’re going to be giving up on this at
all might be quite a bit of a
deficit always an opportunity with how
they played in the first game they can
try and re gain that little bit of
momentum in
form start to cause a few
issues there has to be said at the
moment
s and CH are looking very solid in this
second
game
18 a few too many errors here
[Applause]
[Applause]
T the last time fix between uh these two
went into three
games was that the uh kumoto Masters
Japan in November of last year that was
won by
Hong actually lost the first game got 12
12
22 recovering to win 23 21 2113
[Applause]
going to be headed to three
here 20 game point 13 it’s gone a little
bit quiet in the
arena after a very exciting first
game in which hang with dominant and
really in control winning that one n
it’s now swung the other way s and CH
with the Victory and an important one in
the second game
213 we are headed in towards a
decider for
[Applause]
[Laughter]
[Applause]
[Music]
way
20
seconds 20 seconds
[Applause]
no room for error in this
one Winner Takes all one game of piece
the deciding third game
[Applause]
and H very comfortable in the first game
219 and then it was a turn of sh and CH
to take control in the second game
[Applause]
213 question here is whether T and hang
are able to ReDiscover their form from
the first game or toio and CH take the
momentum from the second game along with
them into this they’re off the mark
first turn earlier mistake from s
[Applause]
[Applause]
[Applause]
hey
look go cross there
say just miss time to
[Applause]
contact straight the net
[Applause]
really good stuff there from and
CH how’s
he found the corner
there was left by hang Tung just wasn’t
quick enough to get to it I wonder if
there was a thinking that that perhaps
might have gone wide
[Applause]
placed
[Applause]
[Applause]
[Applause]
come
had to get to that sun
way he’s essentially played it into a
position for S to go attack with the
kill at the
[Applause]
net just popped it back up that was
pretty weak from T way
[Applause]
[Music]
spe
[Applause]
[Applause]
[Applause]
okay ex iting stuff going on points
changing hands very
quickly oh it’s going to be a challenge
here
[Applause]
though correction out Serv
[Applause]
instead of those points exchanging hands
it’s open up uh two-point lead here for
the
moment so much going
[Applause]
onti eventually it’s
the Come Away with an important
Point don’t want to let the opponent
heal away too much at this level at this
stage great up cushion that puts a lot
of pressure on the opposition
[Applause]
[Applause]
[Applause]
l
[Applause]
[Applause]
[Music]
[Applause]
sprad straight into wank at the
net keeping the pressure up
pushed across
initially goes
[Applause]
on Save at the net there
[Applause]
okay it’s the ch it’s a variation in the
play
there expecting a smash to come back in
you just look at how he slows down the
arm movement as he makes contact with
the shuttle beautiful disguise in it
from CHC
[Applause]
way easy to hit the smash in those
situations cuz he’s just essentially
following through with the
power whereas with that drop shot you’re
starting out to make it look like a
smash and then you’re slowing it
down just at the point of contact you
got to make absolutely sure that you get
the
uh
weight off the shot
[Applause]
right 78
[Applause]
spe
oh
[Applause]
stuff exellent stuff from both pairings
I mean that was a wonderful wonderful
sequence very exciting quick
rarely lots of changes in the pace of
the
[Applause]
play wonderful game of badminton here
we’re witnessing so much tension so much
riding on
this the way it’s turned out initially
looking like it might be oneway
traffic is how it started in that first
game quick shift around in the second
and both these pairs knowing exactly how
important this game is the third one the
decid
[Applause]
it much in the way of uh
separation there is a three-point Gap
now
[Applause]
though four to go into the
interval as they can four is the
difference at the interval and that
could be a big one for
[Applause]
spe
20
seconds 20
[Laughter]
[Music]
[Applause]
seconds play
[Applause]
[Applause]
11 lots of work to do here for so and CH
in terms of a recovery that’s one step
back
towards trying to get level
that’s another 9 11
[Applause]
[Music]
[Applause]
well it looked like a pretty big deficit
has been eaten away
quite steadily with that run of points
here three a
for w looking to try and break that
streak wow here back Su and J incredibly
well played that one 11
all must be wondering what is that hit
here looking good going into the
interval had four-point
lead
second half of the third game back on
court after that interval it’s
completely turned around
11 five points on the bounce for S and
T what a
[Applause]
comeback again really amazing at times
how that momentum can uh just switch
around so quickly after the
intervals
1 keeping the crowd quiet here
[Applause]
sente six points in a
[Applause]
row cat now up to
[Applause]
two just being able to then break the
streak was so important for
w
[Applause]
[Applause]
[Applause]
[Music]
it
this is really swinging back and forth
so hard 14
13 at this stage at this point to really
say where this is going to go and
there’s a credit to the pairs out
[Applause]
there set up for real nail biting finish
in this one
[Applause]
block they just wide
[Applause]
[Applause]
soj challenges called up
[Applause]
[Applause]
correction in service
over that’s a good challenge from show
and
CH very good
challenge gives them the
lead 15
[Music]
on the
serve don’t see that happening too often
I haven’t really witnessed
that
[Applause]
15 couple of height calls on the
uh serves a little bit earlier in the
men’s double
Malaysia
contest something that has been too
common at this
tournament 1
15 one the key stages of this game now
of this contest s and
CH looking good for
them two-point cushion
they’ve only ever won twice against Wang
Yong and T
way those two
wins coming in August and September last
year
18 one of those two wins was a huge one
at the World Championships on their way
to winning it all there still
and could be another massive win for
them here
as they look to try and push themselves
into the
final the Baton Asia
championships on the
serve and
Hong champions in
2022 runers up last year at the bronze
in 2019 as well and the bronze in
2018 that they’re going to end up with
another bronze here they don’t think
turn things around
quickly
completely got the connection on that
wrong
[Applause]
[Applause]
we haven’t had a Korean Mi doubles
pairing in the final at the badminton
Asia championships since 2014 in Kim CH
when Shin chin CH progress into the then
the last time mix doubles paing from ker
1 was
2013 they’ve done it they have shot Tong
and hang they’ve silenced the home crowd
here an incredible
effort from siung
J and his
partner brilliant
stuff a two of them
Jun wonderful quality very strong solid
showing from the two of
them and they pick up their first win
over this
opposition since the 8th of September
last year breaking that streak of six
straight wins that t way and Pang Chong
have had over
them this one just their third
victory in their last 18 meetings now
a disappointing end to the
tournament for T and hang Yong
especially with how it started in the
first game credit
to and Chu Jun they go through into the
final 921 2113 2116 they win this two
games to one

our penultimate matchup on the schedule
today is the second semi-final in the
men’s singles event and what a
semi-final this is going to be as well
22-year-old kuray Nara up against
24-year-old Leif F here will have the
home crowd behind him pushing him
[Music]
on
Kai two very talented young players
here
[Applause]
on well ranked number
six lii Funk number four in the world
rankings this is the sixth time
that they will be facing off against
each other Leif fun just with the slight
Edge in the head-to heads 3
to2 a rivalry that goes all the way back
to November of
2018 the bwf World Junior Championships
that yet singles under 19
event for Oka coming away with the win
2111 1921
2117 Le sh F will then get some
revenge in April of 2019 the usaka
international
challenge another game that another
match rather that went to three games
1921 1421 and then 21
16ish
pun have to wait 3
years almost 3 years exactly in fact for
the next meeting between Nara and liif
the uh career Masters in April of
2022a Come Away the winner there ready
would then make it two a piece in the
head to
heads just a month later at the Thailand
open to win of his
own R Kumar City the Umpire here from
India the last
time that these two came up against each
other so we have a look at rentas Pongo
the service judge
was at the Canada
open in July of
2023 leun then gaining the advantage in
the head-to-heads fight winning that 218
2111 we could be in for another long
contest here between these two CU in
four of the last five
meetings matches have
gone all the way to three games
Mara in his tournament with a round of
32 match up against 217
2114 thinking the uh player from Hong
Kong China in that round of 32 matchup
and took on John of the ker Republic in
the round of 16 a 2114 2112 victory for
Nara on my right
Koka Japan was
involved last night as well and on my
left late last night
Le China in a
quarterfinal that was very hotly
contested naraoka came away with the win
against Lyn of the Chinese typ a 2118
2119 take his place in this semi-final
here in
Ningbo Walker from the near side of the
Court serving first
[Applause]
Fang he was really impressive against s
sinuka ginting the defending Champion
knocked him out in the quarterfinals
yesterday it’s actually quite a
disappointing performance from
ging never really showed up and uh
leifang on hand to really put him to the
sword there 219 2110 not really trouble
in
that he had a pretty comfortable round
of 32 match up as well against
mahake the qualifiers making his way
through mun winning that one 2111 2112
round of
16 he would come up against Wong Chinese
Tye again another very comfortable win
for Leif fun
2110 2112 there so it’s been a three
pretty
multiable control performances from Lei
fun really had too many issues to deal
with along the way into the semi-final
you wonder if uh he’s going to come into
this little bit fresher of the
two perhaps doesn’t have to overextend
himself too much in this tournament so
Fara finally on the board a nice way to
get on the board there with a
point what a cross
[Music]
caught with this smash here very nicely
done
now the Walker narrowly missing out on
the world
championship title last
year M into another very
talented young player in K fitan of
Thailand says a lot about the future of
Bon as you got that sort of quality
those young players making their way
into the final at the UWF World

that’s better from Le a rare bright spot
though in
this first
game just from his perspective
the hope there is that uh he start to
pick up a little bit more in terms of
his
confidence looks a little bit nervous
here with the start of this
matcha on the other hand playing with
the a lot of confidence
and a really nice kind of arrogance and
that
Cockiness I mean that in a very good way
it’s sometimes what you
need right at the top to compete and to
challenge was able to back it up with
his
play a belief in his ability a belief in
himself and it comes across very nicely

1 slowly trying to work his way back
into this Leif funk
Jonathan
Christie waiting in the
final for one of these two
challenges it’s going to be an
interesting final as well jnan Christie
suffering the uh heartbreak in 2022
having lost to Lis in the final
then very key to make amends and he’s
been playing some excellent baton as
well throughout this tournament chrisy
he’s another one that looks really
powerful and quick his attacking game
has uh just gone up another
level picked up so much confidence from
that all England open title
win but it’s been a lot of fun to watch
Christy play at the badminton Asia
championships
service over
158 you cheat earlier
[Applause]
today an opportunity here as well for
one of these two do get a bit of History
for themselves in terms of making it

be looking to following the footsteps of

might have one one thing to really go
for it tried to go for it there
Nara
Nara who loses that passage of play
a lot of patience on display
there and it’s n Oka who eventually
loses
patience leun coming away with the
point
play going to feel the need to rush it
there was also a situation there where
nooka could have actually won the point
earlier play a good Smash down the line
and but there was an excellent save from
liif which kept the rally going
him in it and now he’s just uh two
points
behind 135 incredible stuff what a turn
outa always turning around towards his
Corner always in communication with his
coaches listening giving
[Applause]
feedback well he needed that desperately
needed that n Oka strange to say
considering he’s in the lead but uh
there’s a lot of rhythm going the way of
Leif fun the points he was able to rack
up very quickly and he just need to
break
that just give him that experience of a
set back
again especially after losing that point

point for
Nara good start to the game bit of a
setback Midway through back in

one so must up a response here Alish
Fang in this second
game we have
seen many situations turn
around for one player quite clearly
comfortably winning the first game and
then not go on to uh
win the whole matchup we’ve seen it on a
number of occasions we’ve seen it quite
a of times today
already we just saw it mix
doubles
and with the win against T and
hang were destroyed in the first game
came back brilliantly in the second and
then took the
third to eliminate the
uh three time world champions
it’s
going for the net drops
there another one of these long
rallies there he goes this time
Nara over he had enough goes on the
attack picks the moment and then he
executes very well here no mistake This
Time Around by
Nara gets himself a point on the board
in this second game
[Music]

play come on
[Applause]
doesn’t quite catch it as well as he
would have liked there
Mara an unforced error he wasn’t really
under any pressure in that
situation he was the one who wanted to
go on the attack
and on power’s way to a
point for
there’s a lot more measured there a lot
more
patient a sense here at times that uh
both these players are actually quite
willing to be very patient with the play
quite happy to keep it slow at
times test each other
out terms of their
consistency able to maintain the
technique in their
form over those long
rallies very different matchup here in
this one than we saw in the first
semi-final between q and th and Christie
it’s very interesting you see different
types of players in the Styles in their
approaches what they look to try and do
in the context of the game that
uh enhance their skill set try and limit
the
weaknesses Christy by the way
was talking a lot about his attacking
game so explosive high energy and very
good but his defensive game as well was
excellent against the powerful smashes
of
C fun with the powerful smash of his on
there a good leap arch of the body nice
contact with the shuttle
[Music]
[Applause]
thank
you back

from naraoka top top quality
there this back and flick here this one
excellent defensive work and then
picking up out the

he really cared about that nooka the way
he just flicked the back hand out walked

back down to one that
deficit Mara as I mentioned earlier very
happy the defensive side of the
game a lot of stamina as well he keeps
going comfortable when he needs to go
diving around the
court was able to reach as we’ve seen
here attempt at the smashes from the
opponent that one out of his reach up
laser guide at that
[Music]
[Applause]
from step back into the center of the
Court let’s see what alifun was going to
do with his approach to that
smash chance to rescue that this time
around does have remarkable speed maroka
moves around the court very quick
there you go look at that dive again
this time he gets to it
wonderful reading of that situation but
also the reaction fin reach out with the
back end and make the
save very impressive does end up losing
the
point but he really
makes the attacker work to score
there thank you
[Applause]
might not always be the most exciting
player to watch
aroka unless of course you do enjoy
these extended rallies and defensive
work he puts in and his defensive
qualities but there’s a lot to admire
about him and his uh play and his
talent that another really good save
Leif
Funk slou when it comes to these smashes
goes for the lift well expecting a smash
to come back in LLY work from
Nara so composed he was under pressure
he had to defend as said he’s happy to
defend these situations got the ability
to defend them well
the chance to catch out
Yun turn it around counter attacking
he gets lucky with that quick to
acknowledge it
Nara still going celebrate the point but
bology came across very quickly to Lea
fun just flicked back
across a touch off the top of the tape
falling on the other side the
court get ready quicker don’t
delay just heard that from the Umpire
doesn’t want any more
delays that’s the kind of pace to expect
got not all G caught she F involve in a
very different type of match up
yesterday against
kintin various game plan
here take that mistake

Le you need some extended time in the

treatment something to keep an eye

a high
intensity strain mentally and

approach of putting the uh opponent
under pressure in the sense that uh wait
for those
mistakes to arrive from the
opposition stays in the rally puts those
clears in
very clever bit of work from Nara there
changing it

nice rally just missing out as he went
on the attack here Nara send an opening
to go across just put it a bit too far
wide we can see him in there very happy
to put those clears in
turning it towards the back alley and
then happy to defend those smashes
coming in from Le F very comfortable in
those situations thank
you
f that two-point lead
patience very much the uh name of the
game
here it’s a real mental test as
well
good using his aggression to good
effect he wants to try and finish off
these points quickly if he can when the
opportunities come about when he’s tried
to he tried to be positive and proactive
in the
attack at times he’s been a little bit
frustrated by nara’s ability to get
across with the saves
that’s another one very nicely done by
this time wa it for the
moment picked one out no chance for
narako there with the smash across the
body
[Applause]
of them earlier I’m going down the line
getting drawn into that long rally once
again over cooking that shot
[Music]
just about gets it over the net not
Oka made no mistake with the smash there
closing in once again 17 15 17 two
behind this one here reaches out to it
again that’s a bit of good
fortune now it folds
over there still a lot of work to do
with that smash there going AC
crosscourt thank
you constantly having to invite the
players back on court the Umpire
[Applause]
good solid point
there fun
[Applause]
18 first time I can remember him there
really unleashing a vocal burst there
celebration of that point
very well
done 19 15
he’s making really effective use of
these
smashes and looking to get to
it he’s could quite make it in time now
coming off the
racket he be much more effective a lot
more accurate and precise Leif fun with
his Smashes in this second
game been a good attacking tool for him
[Applause]
I’m happy to uh hang in there and play
the waiting game with these rallies Lea

now we’ve needed three games to deide

wins to
two

changes three all by the end of the
night F Lei fun who opens up that
advantage in the head toit record
necessarily be thinking about that head

final yesterday 219
2110 his first match up against Mohammad

ended in 34 minutes 2111 2112 and then
uh defeated Wu away in the round of 16
2110 2112 in 40 minutes

familar playing against Nara very

14 from the crowd here not
Oka they feel it’s another attempt
to delay the
match he’s falling further behind he’s
five points off the pace now there a
tactic here from naraoka
try and slow things down says he’s got
an issue with his
foot going have to remove his uh
shoe it’s going to delay things even
longer here
more spray on
that test here his focus and
concentration needs to remember that uh
he’s the one with a good
lead Five Points in this
situation keep his
composure Motion in
check maroka told to get back on court
quickly
[Music]
again he’s the one that has to gamble
here Nara getting into that
stage pretty incredible really what has
happened today here all our
semifinals this could very well be our
fourth match of the day in which it’s
gone to three
games
and the player or the pairing who have
won the first game have actually gone on
to
lose it happened with shiuchi and
Jonathan Christie Chi winning the first
game 2118 Christie coming back to win
2119
2112 happen to
uh new shangu and taning as well as took
on Beck hanai
isui trying winning the first game 2112
and then Beck hanai isui coming back to
win 2118 and
2112 and then it’s happened in the match
just before this T and hang
Yong Bree to a 219 win in the first
game and Chu Jun then bounced back to
win 2113
2116 in the next two games
interesting situation
and make for
AIS question perhaps down the line
somewhere 13th of

victories still needs to see this one

there then they took
on Reginal Le Jun
he and
uh
ya 16 213 219 victory in that one before
defeating the second seeds UTA
Watanabe and Arisa higashino very
impressive victory for Jang and we 217

so far Ste up
I don’t expect anything to go as you
thought it
would this stage lots of opportunities
to overcome these challenges even if you
are coming up
against higher ranked opposition and
maybe opposition that uh you don’t
really have a good record against
we’ve seen that happen throughout the
course of the
[Applause]
[Music]

[Music]
Jun and we have never beaten hang and
fun this is the seventh meeting between
these pairs and hang and fun have won
all six so
far five of their six matches
me last
year first
Victory the first meeting in January of
last year the Indonesia
Masters going all the way through six
straight
wins after that the Singapore open the
Korea open the Australian Open the
Arctic open in October and then uh the
most recent meeting was at the French
Open
the nth of March this
year that one needing three games to be
settled F and
hang 2119 1021
2112 be two
occasions a match up between these two
pairs is three games was in the first
one at the Indonesia
Masters and then the most recent one at
the French
Open also as we’ve seen on four
occasions already today winning the
first
game necessarily
mean you go on to win the whole thing
we’ve seen in four matches now where the
player or the pairing who’ve lost the
first game have gone
on to win the match
dou 84
so ball 58
good play the net good the kill
there he’s taking turns to go and attack
the net in that situation rotating
positions on the
court and funk
[Applause]
for Jung and
way the bronze at the World
Championships last year he lost in the
semi-final to T and Hong
[Applause]
we are the defending
Champions defeated T and hangyong in
Dubai last year 215
2116 diminish of their hunger to to come
in here and
uh pick up another
title they’re trying make it back to
backton Asia Championship
CR that’s fun and hang take the4 Point

well done there by a younger
teammate ju dongping in that uh
pairing more experienced of the two more
successful as well as an
Olympic gold medal from the 2020 games
was partnered with Wang Yu in the mix
doubles between Tung and hang Yong in
the final then
came close as well she responding with
the wangu
to world championship title in the mixed
doubles in 2018 had to settle for
Silvera losing that time to Chung
[Music]
way couple of bronze medals as well in
2019 and 2022 also with the
oneu with
fun look at that bronze medal at the
Asian
Games in
HTO very successful partnership with the
Wu two
time Asian champions in the mix doubles
there title in
2018 and in 2019 for hang dongping he’s
tasted a lot of success in the career
now with a relatively new
partner going to get even
more 18
eight W dong ping also with
that silver medal at the Asian
championships in 2022 along with
wuic
partnership form by the two of
them ni looking good with this
partnership as well with the
fun to 10 points the advantage here over
J and
[Music]
way what of caution SE in this happened
a lot today the first game has been
comfortably
won only
for the other side to come back in the
second and third games to take the win
and so ball ni 19
over G Point here for fun and hang
J and way just start making the
opponents wait for
it great start this from F and hang
oh should have been the Finish
there set you know what I’ll handle
it and she did very comfortable victory

that power behind that smash from
funk for
way get any sort of uh meaningful return
on that
the
first game ending in under 13
minutes which after the uh Marathon
Clash we just saw the
men single second
semi-final Shong
and
Koka quite welcome in terms of the
change up in the pace that was
really a slow
burn very measured
approach real
grind Lei fun playing it
perfectly showing that he has the
ability to be flexible in those moments
he was patient when he needed to be
aggressive and he spotted the
opportunity to
be more of a quicker Pace about this one
1
3 2 3
two points on the board for Jung andway
initially been three down
3 still ball f
F there the serve from junen
Bank smashed across Court kept Alive by
hang F involved
deflected
ofet there straight to the face of her
partner see the funny side of it h ping
didn’t uh really look too pleased with
that good
response powerful smash to
recover and take the point
[Music]
there sticking around in this uh second
game here it is win second game for Jung
and
way more of an
improvement from them they’re not really
allowing fun and hang an opportunity to
create that Gap create that distance
early
on done ready
just pushing it towards each
other driving it across one side to the
other very quick uh
play as picks out the
angle and the push back across onto the
far side of the court from fun
thank
you so ball six 7even
so ball eight six
[Music]

8 was ready to pounce on
that anticipating the next shot that
smash would have been
a save there from
way essentially all was going to be
really was it just get herself into that
position right the kill at the
net be pushed back up into the
air this is where they can perhaps start
to uh take control of the second game
here fun and hang
[Music]
missing the opportunity to go into the
interval with The four-point
Gap closing in again Jung and way
letting and get away with this
there goes again that combination f with
the smash Pang expecting the
pickup and the return from that smash
before finishing it off with the kill at
the net 11 n two points the difference

[Music]
in there m stake this time from
hang know how this could turn around
here J and way know what’s at
stake chance to go backto back champions
off the continent
of they need
the win here to send it into a third
game 16
17 four
clear and four more to the
win kept that
going J had to
head it towards the corner there some
good play from
hang finding the Angles and then the
setup was there for the powerful smash
from
fenta good
return that should be it really six the
difference two more and F and hang are
into the final

with a two game to love win over Li and
yang powan and then siung J and Chu Jung
