Gardens Florida and the third Monday
finish in the 52-year history of the
cognizant classic in the Palm Beaches
three and 1 half hour weather delay
yesterday pushing the completion of this
final round to this morning players in
position including the overnight leader
Austin ekro who’s at 15 under he’s
through seven holes there’s Shawn Lowry
waiting to hit his second shot here
upcoming and he is in that final group
he is at the sixth
and again eek Root second-year tour
player held the overnight lead at 15
under Eric Van Roy and you see in there
with his 63 yesterday at 14 under that
is not expected to be a factor but you
never no and there is the horn that is
signaling the resumption of this final
round Austin EO two under through his
first seven holes just about ready to
take his uh first swing of this
resumption of the final round again a
25-year-old decorated college player
from Oklahoma State in just his second
year he’s been very steady as he tries
to break through here on this Monday
finish for his first PGA Tour
Victory Kurt this has been the best club
in his bag he is at 80% of his Fairways
this week he’s really high in greens and
regulation top three in that category as
as
well this is up the right needs a little
bounce probably will C the
rough looks like first cut no
problem okay yep not bad you can see the
softness of these greens balls spinning
back and how difficult that whole
location it is we saw the t- shot of

side of his ball and that bunker left of
the green is very

wedge oh man that mud did not bother him
at all he’s got every Club in the bag
working working well that’s why he’s on
top of this leaderboard playing with
such confidence not taking too long to
hit it at the 10th second at this easy
part five M Lee boy big drive though
only 206 yds to that whole location on
the
right oh yeah and a great shot minwoo is
going to have a short one to get 13
under at 17 here’s KH
Lee oh he’s got a good shape he doesn’t
like the way he made contact with it let

yeah what’s wrong with that oh boy that
was an awesome shot at the 10th here’s
Min Le putting for Eagle this would go a
long way to putting himself in the mix
on this back nine by far the easiest
hole in the golf course this week it was
a converted Par Four they moved the T
some 20 or 30 yards back but took the
bunkers out on the right it’s a it’s a
wide open t- shot it’s only playing 4
point two strokes for the
week four back to two
back Min W Le with an eagle at 10 that’s
his fourth eagle of the week and watch
out for him on the back nine I like
middle of the green here for him but
this is weak and out to the right this
will be short of the
bunker boy that is going to leave a
tough pitch that’s going to be wet
ground pitching over the top of that
bunker and onto it down slope on the
back side of that bunker tough spot to
be e root with his third at the 10th
kind of an awkward angle that you talked
about I tell you what that was really
well done off a tight and fairly wet lie
down there just
earlier the second at the par 51 12 for

Novak that back right ho location’s
getable you want to go attack it and
there’s plenty of room to the right and
Novak using that back back stop and
getting it in there close tell you what
13 ners still with plenty of golf left
for Novak he could continue his run in
Big Time style here in the last three
events played really well at Phoenix top
10 there played had a chance in Mexico
he was in contention all week in Mexico
that is three in a row for Novak four
under on this final round good lie John

yeah pretty good shot down
there little pole needs to get down a
little
bit not his best shot there Brad but he
is putting no I mean he’s hit 10 out of
11 greens right now but you you got to
be a little protective you know there’s
all kinds of theories when where the mud
is on the ball and what the ball will
do I don’t know if those are proven
theories but a conservative shot for
ecro Victor Perez a moment ago with his
third at the 12th downhill the whole

way that was really good the softest
these things are and as much speed as he
generates he could spin this back he
wanted to looks like he took that a
little easy went left to the hole you
don’t want to be too far left and he’s
not he’s going to use that back stop
Woody that planned out and played out
pretty well his Le for pretty at the 12
just a fantastic look very flat back
here just a little bit of left to right
in
it yeah it helps when you hit a 314 yd
drive and that’s all carried missed only
one Fairway and one green in regulation
in this
round
oh this is a beauty just got to get
there there
again boy is he striking it well okay e
Ro zeroing in here to push it to 16
under and two clear of
lead there you go yeah he kind of needed
to see one go in he missed some really
good opportunities and boy he is in
control right
now oh hard asking for it to go it’s
only a second Miss Fairway today
oh asking for it to go hard and it did
Austin EOD another really good
look and another putt that’s not
breaking left to right that’s three
straight days Austin has made a birdie
at 13 and now the lead has ballooned to
three after backtack birdies for
ecro he’s trying to fade it I don’t
think it’s going to catch that
slope back bunker he better get off the
down
slope that may still be on a slight down
slope which makes that next one much
more
difficult boy that was a confident swing
and he’s done it again how good was that
under that kind of pressure tremendous I
like the way once he walked in there
boom he just hit it downhill lie you got
got to create speed you got to catch it
right what a great angle to show you
what he was dealing with there look at
that club pass the ball that is gutsy to
hit that shot right there these are the
kind of swings and clutch moments that
win PGA Tour events even checked it up a
little bit which means he had to hit
fairly close to the back of the ball in
order for that to have that kind of spin
yep he liked
it no nope pulled from the start like
that was left
immediately
now just let it roll off your back head
over to 15 and get ready yep first bogey
since Saturday late afternoon for
recro Lee on the T at 16 just two back
just an iron back into the breeze
slightly a little bit right to left and
quick T pick up there yeah it it doesn’t
do you much good to hit more than
something 230 240 off of this

tremendous another great swing it’s just
one flush after another is how good this
second shot was average proximity in
this final round is 34t this is just
inside 12 ft Kurt I think it was good he
saw Bridgeman putt before

and that goes a long way in putting away
this tournament he still has the
dangerous 17th and par five 18th but the
lead swells to
three
unreal hit just keeps striping it just
repeat all day and all weekend
long e wrot last kind of semi dangerous
swing but this will not get even close
to the water probably that seven iron he
hit it 15 and 17 and he been striping it
with
it look like it’s going to catch
you that that was a moment ago and
that’s where the ball ended up and so
clear layup way back for ekro which is
the exact right call that was a seven
iron might be his favorite Club in the
bag right now he’s been taking on every
flag stick but uh hopefully that wet
shot’s just slightly left of it
another
look just every swing’s just been a
beauty down the stretch
here like so many of these professionals
Kurt Austin necro was scheduled to play
in the seminal proam at semal golf club
nearby just down the road near the
beach no problems here not at all
probably within a yard of where he was
aiming I mean it spun back a little bit
on him into that wind with that much
spin but still well done well executed
number one Strokes gain Tia green he
made the putts the birdies when it
mattered when he hit it
close earlier in this P nine this putt
on the way good looking one and that is
going to do it for E

and that is official Austin e has broken
through at the cognizant
