that t- shot Ben Silverman at the E also
making a run good putt here at the eight
this is his fourth Birdie on the front
nine early fist pump there at the 13th
trying to get to eight under par well
look out if this guy’s putter stays hot
we know how good he is T the green he
just bured the 14th good approach shot
here it’s whole location in the
back and taking advantage of it he’s cut
it a lot better here in the last year or
so picked up that big win at
the oh nice shot here taking advantage
of that early start today what a t- shot
that
is look for some really good scoring
opportunities Campos now how about the
week he said yeah he said how about the
hole in one look at this yeah this is
that driveable par far Par Four it’s
only 301 yards to the hole today the
wind you know out of the right so it’s
reachable especially right now the winds
are down a little bit in the afternoon
we’ve seen 10 to 15 miles an hour we tap
in birdie there in for Rafa all smiles
this morning on the Range we were
talking about his hole in one and he
over at the ninth this is Robert
McIntyre yeah m of the European Ridder
Cup team this past fall at the eighth
norlander Henrik playing out of the 126
to 50 category good putt there at eight
so he needs to keep the pedal down that
category there’s some easy power in that
swing pretty darn good wedge play on top
of it what a good start that is for Jake
now tremendous for Jake he B
and he is the first man to reach 12
under
par starting left of the hole trying to
cut
back there you good yeah good shot yeah
he’ll like that one that’s a good start
especially on
Thursdays asking for it to sit on a
really good
line more than anything it’s just a it’s
just a way to make himself stay
aggressive and try
to sounded just a hair
heavy out it was short about 3
feet what a
shot couple practice rounds and two
tournament days there’s not a mark on
them that’s how that’s how you start it
confident looking stroke right there
that ball ball rattled in the back of
the hole and Silverman for Eagle to tie
at 12
under just a hair short so tap that in
and get to 11
underpar boy he had a good lie there
though is it wind turning it enough
no also a good lie sitting on top of
that pass palum
ru
and from that far back I think that’s a
good smart play just don’t want to miss
over there on the right if you can help
it to get to 12
under eight under round 63 on the board
already by Silverman of the round that
nap has
going Baki has an excellent round going
as well under through the first seven
[Applause]
holes this looks like a very confident
player way up in the air starting just
right turning over
yeah nice Club selection there he’s got
a beautiful iron swing that’s for sure
total control with his short
irons okay finally yep he birdied the
first hll so he is booking birdies to go
along with those two Bogies out this was
just a moment ago Amano gilo’s third
shot to the par
five
yeah on our early coverage we talked
about this whole location left to the
green on the side of the
hill is third to this par five and it
was a good one flopping back into the
breeze helped stop that ball he’s got a
chance to get it to 12 under par with a
ma putt there out of ASU Arizona State
he’s been playing most of his golf over
in Japan he’s an eight-time winner on
the J Japanese tour C I was next to him
on the Range morning he’s a big guy yeah
he can play football at God well he just
saw Ortiz get a little frisky with his
chip shot on a similar line and it went
pretty far past the hole whole location
cut right on a grain change don’t want
to get too aggressive with this one W I
thought his ball could have come way
back off the green here with that little
false front as much spin as was on
that yeah facts he was pretty fortunate
to have the putter in hand got a little
tough speed putt here kind of into the
grain uphill and then about halfway
there it switches you can see the change
in colors that goes down the hill
towards the hole
always the hardest put to judge speed
when you’re going up the hill into the
grand that falls away from you and it
fooled him a little bit there but it’s
the toughest one balamaki going to go
with putter from well off the green see
if he can get the speed
right he sure did that pretty well done
two players today pitched in from 30
yard short of that
green now valaki to pull within
two that looked like he left the blade
open to
me boy how about the mistakes on this
14th hole from a few players no kidding
just
incredible the whole time see there it’s
kind of little bounce of it the groove
Jack Nicholas had a little grip press
that was a forward press as well looks
good what a read by Wags he said easy to
overread that really finish strongly to
challenge that 17 Chan Kim chipping from
The
Fringe and doing a great job with it
that had to look pretty good for him for
a long time pressure got lighter the
club got very
long and his timing was impeccable what
a shot there that is blistered down the
middle position a b speed
182 that’s that Fairway finder though it
only flew 260 with that lower trajectory
it it can it’s a definitely a different
grass this is van royan for birdie at
17 and an up and down back nine for him
he had bires at 13 and 14 and then he
backed it up with two Bogies at 15 and
16 with the brakes
on
and that means that uh NAB now has a
four shot lead again beautiful look here
slightly right to left pretty level putt
just about a ball and a half outside the
right another one walking another one in
Jake naap Up by
Four this is beautiful looking as well
right at it kurtt in
the and the right Club boy this has got
to be his favorite hole on the golf
course Dan I don’t remember seeing a
plug lie all week long just can pop this
up you get the benefit of some roll here
oh man just about dunked it what a
shot just needed a little more Pace
yep w a little more pace and that goes
right in the middle so he’s going to
have to settle
for did he hit
it that’s a hard read isn’t it when
you’re going back kind of into the sun
and the just a three-hour drive from
here now one last birdie for
nap
y and that just his ninth PGA tour start
he has not LED after any round so far
again it’s very early in his career he
never LED after any round in 58 career
starts on the corn fairy tour so this is
totally new territory for
that

  1. Too many white males. We have to do something about this. I'm glad the PGA Tour agrees and is working on fixing this problem.

  2. Nothing here. Just watching the guys putt about a million times-who wants to watch that crap. PGA thinks watching the ball roll on a green is interesting. Boring and it sucks.
