Under the Umbrella of the qi1 max you
know we’ve seen uh two additional
drivers with the standard and the and
the ls when we get to the furry Woods we
also have three different models as well
uh starting with the max very similar to
the driver in that it has a larger shape
larger profile it has more of a stretch
design if we’re going to get that highi
that major stability in club head shape
actually does have to change a bit that
allows the club head to just be more
structurally sound so with the qi1 max
Woods especially in the 3-wood we have a
200cc 3-wood and then with the internal
waiting that we have especially with the
new Infinity Crown where we’re actually
able to save a lot of weight and
displace it all along the inside of the
head we actually
havei very very similar on par with what
was at one time the 580 XD driver so we
actually have a fairywood that has the
moment of inertia the stability story of
what a 460cc driver was just you know 10
plus years go so we’re really excited
about the qi1 max Forwood it is a little
bit more of the shallow profile so this
is going to help players get it off that
tight lie it is going to be more of a
higher launch higher spin type of
performance for us so we’re really
excited about the qi1 max Fairway Wood
when we get into the standard head this
is really where we’re going to see the
the balance between a player that you
know still wants the performance off the
ground but also for a good amount does
use it off the T boox so we have a
little bit deeper face with the standard
the head size is more of the traditional
um three-wood shaping that most people
are accustomed to we have the V steel
sole so essentially it has that clean
contact with the ground so this is going
to be a very versatile Sole for us again
we also have that parting line top
feature so it really helps set up the
club at a dress and then when we get
into the qi1 tour you’ll notice that
this model kind of Falls just below the
ls driver but this is not called LS and
a lot of people would say well why isn’t
it the ls Fairway Wood well LS obviously
low spin that definitely is a
characteristic of the driver design but
when you get to the Fairway Woods this
really isn’t inherently a low spin
product it’s really up to you to decide
you can make it low spin for sure or you
can actually make it moderate to high
spin that all depends upon the weight
track system that you can use so because
this isn’t a LS type of product we just
called it the qi1 tour fairywood this is
also a titanium head different than the
the steel heads of the other two models
the tour is titanium does have an
adjustable Loft sleeve as well one of
the new features for this year is does
have the TSS weighting so we are able to
swing weight these this year so we have
a little bit better build quality we can
really uh you know Target specific swing
weights so that’s going to be very
beneficial and the track system itself
this is something where you can move 50
g forward back or Center and that’s a a
major impact on both launch and spin
characteristics and one of the things
that we’ve done is we’ve actually
improved this track system a little this
year we’ve actually thinned it out a bit
we’ve made the components a little bit
more shallow that lowers the center of
gravity and so when you do uh move the
weight track system it actually projects
the CG movement even more so we have an
even better tour model fairway wood as
well for us the other thing with the
Fairway Woods is you know in the past
you’ve always seen more of a fluted
hosle design with our Woods we wanted to
get away from that we wanted to get more
into that traditional hosle but we also
needed to make sure it was very thin we
wanted the weight properties to be saved
so we have a new traditional huzzle but
it is much thinner so we’re really
excited about how the Cosmetics
everything from the infinity Crown to
the more dark Sleek look to it
everything is really encompassed here as
far as looks performance feel and
adjustability with the tour so we’re
really excited about these F woods with
the qi1 tour you know some players they
really like that Rocket 3 setting so
they’ll take the 50 g weight and move it
all the way forward that’s something
that where most of the use that we see
with that type of player that puts it
into that kind of position they’re using
a lot of the shots off the T boox with
the three-wood so that’s done very well
for us that continues to do well on tour
however we also see a lot of players
that will put it more in the neutral to
the back position more of almost like a
fourwood setting so you can take your
three-wood and move it to that high
launch three or that fourwood so the
versatility is really up to that player
and if they’re going to determine am I
going to use this mostly off the te then
yeah I probably want that low spin
performance so I’m going to move that
forward or if this is going to be my
dedicated Fairway Wood shot something
that’s going to allow a little bit more
forgiveness something that can trust so
they’re going to move that more towards
the back and sort of have that easy Up
Performance trajectory with q i 10 Max
uh the fairway wood is going to be the
most beneficial for that higher handicap
player or that slower swing speed player
one of the main reasons we understand
it’s it can be very difficult to get
underneath those tight lie shots and so
one of the benefits of the qi1 ferry
Woods is it has a shallower face profile
design that really helps that scooping
effect that ability for the player to
get underneath the golf ball make better
Turf interaction and so we really see
that that player is going to benefit
most from that higher launch that higher
spin condition of these Fairway woods
but beyond the launch and the spin we
have to talk about the stability you
know the qi1 max Fairway woods with this
larger head profile shape and the also
the infinity crown that we have we’re
saving a lot of weight and so when we do
place weight inside the head it makes a
difference so much so with this new
stretched profile design if we can put
the weights all around the internal
weighting system of this head we’re
making it much more stable well what’s
that really mean well you know gone are
the days of when you hit it off the toe
or the heel that you really you lose
that distance you lose that accuracy
this head is now so stable that that’s
what we’re really trying to Encompass
when we say straight distance those heel
and those toe shots they’re still going
to go far they’re still going to go
relatively straight because this head
simply is not deflecting as much it’s
not you know when colliding with the
golf ball it’s not reacting in such a a
NE way so that the club is more stable
it’s basically saying you’re going to
continue to go as far and as straight as
possible because I’m not budging I’m not
going to let this club head rotate and
so that’s what we’re most excited about
for that you know the higher handicap
players the slower swing speed players
that are also seeing the benefits in the
max driver they’re also going to see
those benefits in the max fway Woods as
well with the standard this is really
encompassing you know the Best of Both
Worlds we have the Forgiveness proper
properties here with the overall size
and the shaping but as far as the speed
goes we wanted to make sure that not all
the weight was towards the back right so
we knew that players that more of a
moderate to better handicap better
ability that they’re going to use this
both off the Fairway and the te so we
needed to come up with a design and a
waiting profile that allowed for that
blend of performance so with the fairway
wood story of the standard for those
shots off those tight Lies We Know of
play players of better ability they’re
really concerned about the turf
interaction they want that to be very
consistent something they can rely upon
something that’s not going to dig but
also not going to bounce into the ball
as well that’s where this V steel
something that we’ve Incorporated in
many of our Fairways in the past
generation that’s something that we
didn’t want to change we know it works
we’re incorporating that here again but
the big idea here with the standard
Fairway Wood is that we’re going to
create it to be more stable and a lot of
that has to do with the technology that
we Tri down and brought in from the
drivers which is that Infinity Crown so
when we have all that lightweight
material if we can stretch that out to
the far ends of the crown we’re taking
away even more steel that likewise would
have been in there in that place so if
we can reduce the weight of that steel
used in the crown and use more carbon
fiber that means the weighting that can
be focused back into the head that’s
where you’re going to get better
performance speed accuracy and overall
stability
and so that’s why this encompasses just
about everything it’s a good blend of
Both Worlds here so with the fairwoods
my whole excitement is really around the
qi1 max furwood this is something where
players they’ve always balanced between
going to a shallower face and seeing the
benefits of the higher Spin and the
higher launch but their M hits were
still M hits right you know they were
still losing it right and left so this
is a story here where we have this
stability now we have something that’s
very easy to hit get that Airborne for
them but now in case they do hit it off
the te or in case they you know have to
hit it out of the rough this club head
just simply doesn’t want a budge the
stability of this club head is really
allowing customers to see the benefits
of a club that is going to preserve ball
speed and so if if if the ball does come
off the toe or the heel we’re going to
see ball speed increase uh we’re not
going to see that dramatic drop off that
most Fitters really see whether it’s you
know on the Range or in the fitting Bays
you really see this big drop off the
moment you go outside that Center Zone
with this higher Moi Club head design
you’re going to see less and less of
that and that’s something that we’re
really excited for for customers to see
that they’ll know that they M hit it but
then they’re going to see the results
and they’re going to say you know that’s
a dramatic Improvement more and more
it’s becoming challenging for customers
to really grasp and understand you know
why is this new club different how is
this club better this is something that
we’re really excited about cuz not only
can we get to talk about it we get to
give it to customers and they can
experience for themselves and and that’s
the best benefit is actually seeing it
in real life uh demonstrations
