  1. I don’t understand this hard on everyone has for Brock bowers. He’s great, but is that what we really need ????? My man burrow been asked 148 times in 4 years averaging 37 sacks a season! The fan base wants Brock bowers. I guess I’m truly out of touch.

  2. An OT will need time to develop. It may not be instant impact, but the development is crucial to having an all pro player

  3. I’m telling y’all it’s Brock or OL round 1! They’ve been meeting with OL who are position versatile bc they want a short term guard and a good backup/future starter at RT. Also they’ve been meeting with good DL in Sweat & Smith who they can get on day 2. Bottom line to me is the 1st round pick HAS TO BE something for Burrow. That’s my argument against Murphy & Newton

  4. I would bet the house the Bengals don’t pass on Brian Thomas Jr if he’s there at 18 . I know we need a DT an OT but Bengals value WR more than anything n with Tee potentially getting traded . I could see Bengals passing on OT DT if Murphy is gone and Alt Fuagua and Olu are gone. Brian Thomas Jr will be the pick

  5. Trenches make the most sense. Of course SHOULD Brock Bowers drop, they must strongly consider it. The best way to stop wide receiver groups is to GET TO THE QB! Of course protecting Joe is job#1. So ORT would be great as well.
Summation: DT, ORT, or Bowers ONLY. NOT a WR.

  6. Forget about Latham he’s got Bust written all over him. Watch his tape not his highlight tape. He’s strong n powerful but a penalty machine and will get beat by edges . We don’t need any more Alabama OTs

  7. I think there will be a rush on the QB position this year and there will be both OT and other positions available at 18 that were not expected. Really looking forward to this draft. Don’t think we will be picking this high again anytime soon if Mr Burrow stays healthy.

  8. I think Mims makes more sense than anything in the 1st round if he had more snaps he would easily be the top tackle in the draft.
Trent Brown probably will miss a few games with something and you can than plug in your young stud. You have to protect burrow first.
Than I would try to get sweat in the 2rd even if I have to move up.
Than you can get an inside offensive lineman or whatever you have two 3rd picks

  9. Since the joe burrow Era, I've been saying draft to protect #9. But I've been scream Brock Bowers at 18th… since the end of the Bengals 2023 season.

Really hoping they take Brock! We need a tight end to hold down that room for the next 4 years.

Tired of these 1 year deals from Haden Hurst to Irv Smith Jr! Lock it down now so that Burrow has Jamarr and Brock for the rest of his contract.

  10. Stop saying that B.J. Hill and Sheldon Rankins are going to start!! They are both 3 techniques. They need to sign Calais Campbell. They are not taking OT unless Fuaga falls and there is much more depth at OT in this draft than DT! Stop it with Brock Bowers!!!!! This obsession is almost as bad as Michael Mayer last year and told you that he wasn't worth a 1st rd pick! Brock Bowers is an excellent jumbo slot, but he is still a slot WR and NOT a TE!! Odunze, Thomas, Newton, Murphy II, Mitchell, and Darius Robinson are your most likely impact players and even though I prefer the three DL personally, Mitchell would have the easiest path to the field to have the most impact.

It is amazing to me that we all saw how crap our run defense was last year and how our pass rush was Hendrickson or bust and people are prioritizing Brock Bowers?? What's the point of having Brock Bowers if Burrow's spending half a quarter on the sideline??

Sam Hubbard COULD be washed! We don't know what we have there, sorry. I would trade 2025 No.1 and 49 to get up as high as I could go and grab Newton, Robinson, sign Calais Campbell, and draft one of the lower rated NTs like Lovett and/or Lee that have some height to cover up your LBs in coverage on early downs.

Bowers looks awesome, but he is not the value + impact – minus risk that this team needs at 18!

  11. Again, I understand the lust for an OT, but again, it is potentially the deepest position in the draft. They still have D'ante Smith whom they should extend and if Brown and Brown have a great year then they are both getting re-signed and extended. Just wait and take a prospect similar to what we have in Anim Dankwah from Howard. 6'7 357 pounds with 35" arms and athletic! As crazy as it sounds, there is NO rush to take an OT in this draft! You have Carman and Smith both in contract years and until the Bengals see what they look like when off-season workouts begin, any talk of OT at 18 is premature. I really do expect Smith to show up looking like a million bucks and get extended.

  12. If they do it will be 1 more than last year. Every player on that 1st rd pick list is a dud except Burrow and Chase, which were almost can’t miss picks. They may as well just trade it away if that’s what they’re doing with it.

  13. If the 1st rounder is about making a significant impact his rookie year, do you really want to blow the 18th overall pick on Bowers, who at best this year, AT BEST, will be the #3 targeted receiver behind Chase & Higgins? We already have people on the roster right now who are highly capable of #3 targets behind Chase & Higgins. If the argument is to take Bowers as the #2 option after Higgins leaves, great, but if the argument is about the translatable value of the 18th overall pick to the "impact" of his rookie year to help them "win it all" THIS year, I just don't see it with Bowers THIS year as long as he's at best, going to get #3 targets. His "impact" will be no different than if it was Trenton Irwin getting the 3rd most targets. Nice player, but still the 3rd most targets, at most, behind Chase & Higgins, except we didn't blow a first round pick on Irwin. People are absolutely high if they think Bowers is going to be the big difference maker in AFCN games, which is the one division in the NFL the Bengals suck against. They didn't go 1-5 vs the AFCN last year because of their weak TE room. smfh.

  14. If the goal is to win the SB this year, (which it is) then James is correct in thinking an impact player is key. If Bowers is available at 18, its a no-brainer. An elite TE that creates mismatches can straight up win you a playoff game. The RT or 3rdDT just need to do their jobs long term not immediately. BB could go off in any given game for 8/110 2TDs. That is 14 points that Byron couldnt dream of

  15. I think Corner could be an instant impact, I think Corner is the 3rd option in the first after the tackle spots.

  16. I like De Vondra Sweat of Texas if we can't get Brock Bowers.Sweat is gonna be a Beast at D Line.Last year draft was Weak. They did not hit except it Wide Receiver. We need a good cornerback in the second round. And a late round Kick off returner since the new rules.About kickoffs is going to be important.

  17. I believe in our skill guys on offense, Even if Tee bounces. If we can protect Joe, keep him on his feet and maybe give him a second longer to throw the ball. I truly think he can set records and win Superbowls. On top of all that imagine having a running game that is a thread, thanks to a top iffensive line? Wow id love to see it. We would be the greatest show on turf on stetoids!!! Please draft us some glass eating mean sob offensive linemen. Draft maybe 3 picks to o-line. Mix in some defensive line help and a punter and we have ourselves the next NFL Dynasty in Cincinnati WHO DEY!!!!!!
