  1. I’m getting confused when Bergevin had so many duds as first round picks Shebak, McCarron, Jullson, Poehling the excuse was picking after 15. Now we advocate winning meaningless games to feel good but draft below 10 . What’s the deal it makes no sense!

  2. Joshua Roy was picked 150th. Too early to tell just how good he'll be but he's looking way better than a 150th pick. If the Habs management knew how this coming draft would be on RD's and where they'd be picking, last draft's choice might have been different. If there was a crystal ball to see the future, Roy wouldn't have been available at 150 and KK might not of even been a 1st round pick.
Slafkovsky has been starting to show why he was picked 1st, hockey sense, shot, passing, 3 zone play, top 5 on the team in hits etc, plus his size. If Cooley was bigger there might be an argument from me but it's not the case. With Slaf's skills, his size is needed balance with the smaller forwards on the team. Part of the reason they got Dach too.

  3. I agree coach. Winning at this stage of the rebuild is very important. I think we have to do whatever we can to make the playoffs next year. Thats what would be best for the development of this team. Time to see this winning culture that management was talking about.

  4. I brought this up several days ago, during the chat. And it's what Jim Fox said about SEA. I also believe it fits MTL. And for the Habs fans who are angry, that the Habs keep winning. Just like SEA, the Habs aren't playing for a playoff spot. And what Jim Fox said, SEA aren't just playing to win. They are playing to prepare themselves for next season. And I think that's what MTL is also doing. As fans, you should be glad that they are winning games. Even at this stage of the season. Because, it shows they are making improvements. And that's the most important thing to see from your team.

  5. Slafkovsky is outscoring Lafreniere and Hughes during his 1st 2 years. He will eventually outscore Stephan and Yakupov. Him and Reinbacher are still young, and Reinbacher, with 3 points in 6 games with the Laval Rockets, is a taste of what will happen next season.

  6. Look winning defense makes a great team now they have defense goaltending and they will get more offense players in the draft go habs

  7. I don't think winning or losing At this time of year is as important as playing as a team. How much do you want to be a team with a team goal. When Caulfield gets hit from behind and sent to the dressing room, then Ghule gets hit from behind and sent to the dressing room. There should have been a lineup of players hitting the opposition player the rest of the night. Everyone. The game was lost but a message should have been sent by everyone.

  8. Our future on D is set with Guhle Barron, Xhekaj Mailloux, and Hutson Reinbacher making up our core. The S.S. Caulfield line is anchored well and needs no change with Captain Suzuki at the helm. Our 4th line is set with Beck, Evans, and Armia providing a strong D that can score so we are set on 4th and first lines. So we need some influx of talent for the 2nd and 3rd lines. Dach, Newhook, Mesar, Roy, Kapinen, needs Lindstrom, Iserman, or Iginla. So we need picks to trade for them. We don't need gold like Cellabrini plus the cost is way too high. There is much talent in the first round so trade for picks and move up. Lotsa' Silver is what we need we already have buillion on D.Our future on D is set with

  9. If we look at the 2018 draft of the 1st 31 picks, 15 have played 200 games or more,,,, that’s about normal close to 50%. In just the second half of any first round the odds of players playing 200 games or more drops again to 36% if not lower
