Tyson is known as the cruelest boxer on the planet. However, due to the large age gap with Paul, many people began to voice their concerns.
Aspinall is one of those who cares about Tyson’s condition. He went further to say that he had no interest in watching the highly anticipated fight.
“Training for a fight gives you so much discipline, health and confidence, and all those things are good, so if Mike Tyson’s training is amazing because he’s obviously getting older, but he still looks great. But it’s about the blow to the head after all the punches in his head that he’s been doing for years, I guess I’d rather not see it. I guess it’s meant as entertainment, but that’s not my scene,” said Aspinall, quoted by DailyStar, Friday (29 March 2024).
“Some people love tennis, it’s everything to them. For me, there is very little interest in tennis and the same thing happens. I’m sure people will watch it but I don’t enjoy it.
Not only Aspinall, UFC President Dana White also criticized Paul for choosing to fight Tyson. He said that Paul only lost against fighters his age. This refers to the fight against Tommy Fury last year.
“Jake Paul did fight a kid his age and he lost. I just saw this on the internet yesterday and I reposted it saying if he beats Mike Tyson he will fight Clint Eastwood next, Clint Eastwood is 93 years old,” teased White .
