Situation I believe so it it’s Fourth and 10 on your own 35 if you got it you continue to drive obviously if you didn’t you other team got the ball from where yeah no I think they’re still doing a normal onside kick but now you

Have to alert the ref and you got and you’re are again allowed to put six people on one side of the field yeah would you had not been able to for whatever that’s worth um Justin clayt says for balls that don’t go through the end zone is it easier to take kickoffs

To the house so to be clear you don’t want to kick balls to the end zone if you kick a ball straight in the end zone you’re going to give them very good field position the one thing that remains to be seen is when you return it what’s your average starting field

Position because again that’s what you want to adjust like touchbacks will be marked on the 30 yard line and no fair and no fair catches will be allowed but not all always on the 30 yard line because again if it hits in the Target Zone and rolls in then it’s like a skill

Kind of continue to bounce off this idea that it’s just clearly broken all I see are kids getting paid and that [ __ ] makes me happy it’s what I would have loved in college I’m happy for these guys getting their money and I ain’t mad that some dumb asses got played and gave

Them money that they shouldn’t have right like I’m I I don’t know I as I as I asked pel this yesterday you know I said rank rank from um you know least detrimental to most detrimental when it comes to the changes in college football over the past three years portal nil uh conference

Realignment what is conference realignment most detrimental okay um portal second just because it incentivizes some things that people seem to hate though again I think players and administrators or excuse me I think coach administrators have that Latitude so I would go realignment uh portal nil I mean I don’t

Think nil is a problem I like I no I don’t either I think the lease of all of them I agree well it’s not it’s not even a problem it’s not even a Lee it’s not okay but how to fix it um certainly gonna one you’re not gonna go all three

We’re gonna go I’ll go one I’ll go one okay I’ll go the I’ll go the obvious one yeah which is what Cole cuck talked about where if you ever do reach like a situation where you’re entering contracts that in and of itself is going to basically calm everything down in my

Opinion uh because that cuts away from tampering ability um that that disincentivizes players from basically being on the free agent open market 247 so like again or this incentivizes money from constantly reaching out to players and trying to snag them so yeah if if you had more and maybe it’s like a

Contract situation where you are still allowed like a one-time transfer I I don’t know exactly what it would be but certainly some sort of contracts um that don’t even talk about nil would still bu by extension uh re in some of the chaos yeah I think for me the number one thing

That this is just overall college football which I think would help with the transfer portal is clean up the calendar make the calendar a lot easier and sexable to like win when is this actually going to occur I think we talked about it back in you know end of

November and all through December December was an absolute mess we’re trying to talk about bowl games while we’re also trying to talk about the playoffs we’re also talking about uh Signing Day we Al talking about the transfer portal it was a [ __ ] nightmare of events going on in a matter

Of three or four weeks can we clean up the calendar first get football organized a little bit better from January to December I guess from August to you know you know through July that’s the kind of football season cleaning the calendar will help clean up when certain

Times of the year the portal is going to be open so that’s my first thing clean up college football in general clean up the calendar will help um and I I mean I I don’t know if I I I think my third thing is really just my first one so

This maybe you have a better third one well I don’t think I have three individual reasons I was gonna steal your reason just now as reason number two because I think that’s solid uh I mean again I think would you eliminate one of this would you eliminate one of

The one of the periods and just have one rather than no I I like the two because I think you need to know where you stand after spring and fall uh both from the teams I think enjoy having a spring window as well uh and immediately after

The season or that they can because you can go take advantage of it and the players should as well because if if if they’re not liking where they’re at I I I think I I I think honestly personally me personally not that I think any of

Guy or not because it’s kind of hard to evaluate like you you can get this you know three or four or five star freshman see I get this this fourstar middle lineer true it’s true and he’s a freshman and he’s on the scout team I

Really don’t know what I got just yet I really want to see him in Spring and say your starter graduates just stay with me here your starter graduates do you want to risk seeing what that kid is all about in spring or do you want to secure

A guy in the portal in December you you kind of become a little impatient so I would like to see them kind of give a spring to the young guys see what they look like if you don’t like them at that point then go dip out there and go get

Someone the port off Spring yeah you know what I actually um Ben Franklin talked about he never wanted to have an opinion so strong that in light of new information he wouldn’t change his mind and now that we’ve talked it out uh that that would I think I actually like just

A spring portal window yeah I think that actually probably behooves the players as well because it kind of forces them to really go for it and then if you still fall short and you aren’t happy with your situation okay then you transfer and it’s not like you’re I mean

You’re still going to have a market for your services like you’re not being held back I don’t think in any sort of Fair Way it also it limit it limits what we the issue we came with this past December when you have a backup quarterback for the University of Texas

Is now to put kids in a situation with an extended playoff time to make a decision in those three weeks where you’re trying to get ready for a playoff game to decide if you’re coming back or staying I don’t think it’s healthy for anyone so

My way or the highway but like if you’re a badass coach you can still [ __ ] your guys and they’ll listen to you or maybe you do have to adjust your style based on because some guys will still respond well to that and other guys won’t like some guys need encouragement

And sometimes and some guys need to be told like you [ __ ] suck pick it up yeah and I think the great coaches know which players they can [ __ ] which players they can’t to me I’ve been around plenty of coaches that I’ve seen them like they know which guys they can

Kind of dig into a little bit more and other guys they kind of not are like complete soft to him but understand like I can’t be out here cussing this kid out in front of the whole team where he’s gonna go into a shell yeah so I think

That’s one you know kind so my old man always talked about playing quarterback in the NFL is he had to discern how to talk to his lineman right the guys that would respond well to him shitalking them and the guys that needed to be like come on you got this man

Let’s go you can do this oh yeah uh you have to but I also think another thing too is I think it depends on the coach in the situation like I think if you’re Kirby Smart you’re GNA MF whoever you want because guess what if that kid
