Hi guys in today’s video if you’re struggling with a chicken wing in your go swing a funky release really struggling with that chicken wing through impact into the fall through I’ve got two drills for you to give it a try and get rid of that chicken wing
Which is going to improve your ball striking and improve the consistency of your Club face so stick around to the end of the video for those two simple drills to fix that chicken wing so let’s get rid of that chicken wing so what I
Want you to try and do is grab a golf club it can be an iron it can be a driver anything you like and grip it with just your glove hand so just one hand on the club we don’t want that right hand and what we’re going to do is
We’re going to go through into the follow through position so if we followed through with the big chicken wing the club would be at this point here in the follow through that is not what we want to try and do so we’re going to swing back in through and this
This arm is going to be quite close to being extended and the only way we can get this right hand to the golf club is by pushing the hips so we’re going to extend the hips up and pushing the hips round so what I want you to try and do
In your golf posture grab that club with one hand swing back swing through no chicken wing and then give yourself the feeling of turning those hips extending up and then reaching out that is the only way we are going to get to that Golf Club so I want you to try try that
A few times back swing through turn the hips extend the arms back through turn extend try that with a swing so we want to go back through turn extending the hips extending the right arm in a really good follow through position here where the belt buckle and the chest is both facing
Towards the target let’s give that try so back through push extend much better so from this angle not this chicken wing we’re going through turn push the hips extend the right arm back and through this is the position we want to get into even start
By hitting a few half shots where we go back and through try and get yourself into that position so it’s almost like a pun shot we go back and really open up the body extend the arms and just start to get that consistent strike that consistent club facee and then start to
Work your way up to more full shots so back through push extend love it so really good drill another one you can try place that Golf Club place the butt end of the golf club into your belly button get into your golf posture so you’re going to have to do
That by hinging forward from your waist and then place your hands on the shaft from there I want you to try and go back and through so again from this angle get your golf club place it in your belly button hold down the shaft from there
Hinge forward so the golf club is behind the ball and then we want to go back using the body we want to start the back swing using the body and then want to rotate through extend those arms and then they would only fold coming up to
Finish so using the body from there the back swing would be a hinge and a turn then that would go back in then from there we would rotate through to this position and fold so try that a couple of times grip the golf club then we’re going to try and copy that feeling
