Why are these cases so expensive?
We need to re-calibrate our expectations for 2023-24 series 2 card aftermarket pricing. People need to realize that this product costs 3x what previous years’ products cost, so the cards will sell for 3x the “normal” cost of a YG. Imagine that 2020-21 Lafreniere YG selling for $1000 at launch (it was selling for $300+) even though cases were $1200ish.
Case breakers will only pull 1, MAYBE 2 Bedard YGs per $3500 hobby case. Even if they sell both both at $1000 each, they will never come close to breaking even with all the other fillers. Upper Deck and hobby shops exorbitantly marking this product up because of a single hype player are going to price 90% of collectors out of the hobby. Blame UD and retailers, not the aftermarket sellers trying to recoup their losses.
Fricken' guy wants a Bedard in every box maybe even every pack. Geez save some for the rest of us. Smh.

lol…..I’m watching this and opening a box now and pulled the Luke Philp at almost the same time. My reaction was literallly the same. Really hits you in the gut
So even with pulling the Bedard youre still out like 3 grand.
I just pulled a Bedard young guns, a Bedard glossy, and a Bedard/Carlsson YG checklist out of 2 blasters. And suggestions on what to do with the Bedard YG? Grade it and hold on to it? Sell it raw? I’m stressing and need some help lol
Never bought a hockey card in my life until yesterday when my friend convinced me to pick him up a case so i said hell why not… pulled an outburst bedard. Didn't really know its value but its starting to sink in

The only guy who rips open a box and hits BEDARD and is displeased! 😂 I know the case is a loss but some people have bought so many boxes of S2 with nothing to show for it other than inserts worth .07 cents a piece.

I bought two of these hobby boxes as my first sports cards ever I pulled a base and an outburst bedard. The local card shop now calls me lucky guy
All of you giving him grief for being disappointed in the clear cut YG, it's not that he was expecting a Bedard. It's that you only get one of those per case and it came in the second box. Combined with it being a 28 year old "rookie" and yeah, it's a downer. UD watered down this product heavily to entice people to buy Extended, and it shows in the checklist.
There was a 2 box limit at my card store and thats pretty crappy and suspicious! Probly all left over boxes after they pull the Bedard!
