But on the walk down PTY you pointed something out this is actually your first proper round of golf yeah wow yeah yeah yeah so when I’ve been out with m which was last year was it October time um we only did a few alls just to get

Used to but this is all new to me so and that’s the thing I just want to get a membership somewhere get some lessons in and just get out playing regular just get used to you know what I mean and get into it but uh I mejoy I love it you

Know it is You’ been paying a year right yeah profitly yeah I mean God on and off with mates once a year you know what I mean on allay and stuff but but I think i’ certainly this last year getting lessons which makes me I think when

You’re in golf when you when you’ve never played it before where someone’s caught you you can make so many M mistakes but once you know what the mistakes are I think it’s you still make them but because you know you just go right I know what I’ve done

Wrong there and that’s the thing for me it’s just learn it lot but I really enjoy it good that’s what that’s the main thing yeah and how did your relationship sh start like you obviously pad just said you’re a top top coach so um paty got in touch um on Insta yeah

And basically said you know can you help me Bas first of all get around the course isn’t it that was the first brief it could you just help me in life just in general I need some help so we talk about a lot of things it’s almost like therapy um but now so

We basically cover every part of the game since then yeah and then the idea is just getting more comfortable on the course get him going um yeah moving on for the next J yeah what I love about Mark as a coach as well is some coaches

And i’ you know you see if you I I don’t want to coaches the to show you how good they are yeah do you know what I mean oh he’s brilliant for me cuz just talks me through it nice and kind nice and stay

Hands the ball is above your feet by a pretty decent amount here the wind is off the right so just B you Club a sec yeah as you put as you lift the club up there the Loft starts to point quite a long way left okay so naturally if you

Aim straight that ball will tend to go left and the higher the Loft the more it’ll go left okay so when you’re on the ball above your feet L to counteract that you’ve got to aim significantly further to the right yeah come down the handle come down the

Handle you want to me why cuz the ball’s effectively closer to you yeah you’ve got to come down the handle to offset that so aim right down the handle and just be careful when you come through how much your forearms rotate over all those things send the ball left right so

Manchester and he he were on stage like whatever 20 minutes or some and um he said I was getting me money and he got about 40 OD quid and I thought at the time I W earning that in a shift and I thought this is that’s the that’s the

Job for me and it was one of them and know when you sit there you watch with people I thought pretty sure I can do that you know what I mean and uh were you always like fun you know funny as a child I always knew I always knew like

Situation I always know I can get a laugh you know what I mean but but there’s loads of people can do that but doing it on stage is a diff different grave all and I know some really funny LS but stick them on a stage it’s game

Over you got to learn out out to do all that but uh I did me first ever gig at Lancaster University on I think called the Newcastle Brown tour and uh I remember the comp coming on after and he said uh out of par mcginness there he

20 odd years of consistently working where some people drop off I’m like but it’s because I’m always looking at the next thing you know what I mean and and and it keeps interesting that way you know I mean it’s right as R but uh you mentioned the next thing you’ve actually

Got a standup tour coming out stand up back on the road uh November I’ve not done it for about eight years and that’s yeah what is it about and are you nervous cuz you haven’t done it for so long terrified I think for me uh listen

Even when you do I’ve done loads of big tours and even though they’re there for you you’re always that moment just before you go on stage it’s a full house and you’re going I’ve got to go out now for a couple of hours and just talk yeah

And it’s like but once you once you’re on stage and people are laughing it’s very seducing and that’s what that’s what LS you in that that and the money but uh but it’s one of them where I put the tour on I said not done it for

Eight years like that and uh and then tickets just went through the roof so I’m putting extra dates on and it’s one going everyone’s like high five I go oh got to write it now is it not been R so no I’ve got listen I’ve got loads of

Material but it’s it’s getting it forming it all together and all the rest of it but it’ll be right but I’m I am looking forward to but when I really think about it I get terrified you know what I mean but once I’m once I’m done

You and I’m up and running then it’ll be great but this day and age as well you’ve got every chance of saying the wrong thing on on stage you’re done so it’s like now it’s even more you’re like oh here we go kind of thing so it’s

Exciting it’ll be right as rain probably never he hear from me again after this tour do you remember him before he uh he’s done before he did before he did that material talking about how do you write it are you just do things to see things

On the street and go oh I like a bit of that yeah you see you see a lot of things what I do is I tend to put notes in my phone about whatever something might happen in a day and I I’ll just make a note of it and then I’ll think

About it after and you start writing around it then but it’s but it’s everyday observational stuff that everyone can relate to it’s nothing no one’s stroking the chin when I’m on stage going we’re not laughing but he’s very clever very yeah it’s just you know

You want people to come out have a good laugh and go on and go we enjoyed that job done you know what I mean so for me it’s everyday stuff um weirdly you don’t hear anyone telling jokes anymore not heard anyone tell sort of like like yeah like fell walks into a

Bar and I’ve never heard that I don’t think anyone does that anymore you know what I mean unless you probably go on the club circuit and that’s that’s still but but yeah it’s it’s changing all the time but now especially in comedy it’s such big business you know it’s crazy
