Go home until uh Friday of this week but last night like a bunch of these people that I’m here with with were going out to dinner we had like a meeting at 5:30 then we were all going out to dinner it was fine we get done with the meeting at
5:30 I come back up to my hotel room here and I sit on my bed and I wake up at 2 o’clock in the morning to like I like I had like I had like 60 text messages like you okay everything fine everything good you good you coming to dinner nope not sleep

So here’s what we’re going to do with full disclosure that I don’t watch regular season college basketball at all I don’t watch it and how could you how could you how many games it’s it’s and it’s so many games and it just doesn’t seem like it matters at all I college basketball
Is not my thing there’s 64 teams here and this is the best of the best this is in all the teams yeah college basketball isn’t my thing yeah until right now I’ll be honest with you even the conference tournaments I didn’t get into this year
I mean I saw some crazy stuff the Mac tournament in Cleveland was crazy Kent State Kent State and aan crazy that was did you see it yeah K State takes the lead and then inexplicably with like six seconds left I the kid from Kent State
Thought they had a foul to give and they did not and he fouls a kid from akan who just bangs out two clutch free throws and akan makes it into the tournament that’s heartbreaking that’s heartbreaking yeah there was some there was some wild stuff that happened that happened in the conference tournaments
But again this is what I’m here for and even though I don’t I don’t know about you Joe but even though I don’t watch college basketball really when we get like this Thursday and Friday of this week are two of the great days in all of sports all year
Round yeah just G game starting at noon and going until like midnight it’s like 12 hours of games both days Thursday and Friday and then you get Saturday and Sunday for the second round this the the four day span is just one of the best stretches of sports all year round yeah
It’s like calling the sick work calling sick for work or don’t work or go to work and have one monitor dedicated to four games at once like it is sports from a fire hose this week weekend yes that’s a great a great way to put it you’re just getting blasted in the face

Michigan State a blue blood and basketball versus Mississippi State who I don’t know [ __ ] about when it comes to basketball let’s see who do we got here you got you got to get Michigan State at least one win in the tney every year gotta do it I think this is it yeah

The trade to get him and then they s him to an extension Jerry Judy is here for the foreseeable future uh and they are counting on him to be an essential part of the receiver room you seem pretty excited about it Joe I’m excited Jerry Judy’s at the age right
Where Mari Cooper was when he started going off the Cowboys like I think that he is the he’s an incredible town I mean he was the best wide receiver coming out of college uh an absolutely coveted Talent um I don’t think he had great opportunity with that quarterback
Situation and maybe team dynamic in in Denver I think that locker room probably got a little toxic this past year last two years um and I’m really excited to see him on our team I think you know I don’t think Amari Cooper will be a long-term Brown uh once his contract is
Finished uh if we don’t trade him before then um but I think I think Jerry Judy has a great opportunity to become a solid one option for this team uh for the long-term future yeah and I think you know I saw it might have even been Jack Duffin here
From the obr who may have said this but it’s exactly the way I think about this if Jerry Judy if Jerry Judy hits his um potential then he’s a number one caliber wide receiver yeah and you’ve got him for a steal right like it just is a steal steal if Jerry
Judy is just going to be a really solid number two wide receiver what is going to get paid from the Browns is pretty on par for a solid number two wide receiver in the NFL so you’re if you’re the Cleveland Browns you either have this guy for a
Steal or you’ve got him for a pretty onar contract you don’t have him for you’re not getting taken in this situation you’re not paying a ton of money for a guy that isn’t going to produce anything if he can be a solid number two he’ll be worth the contract
If he can be a number one he’ll be worth the contract and way more and so I don’t see a downside here I don’t see a downside at all in this deal no and you know I think too I think we have not this strap of the one Afters our last
One without a first round pick so you know you’re probably in those future drafts when he starts actually getting to the extension piece you’re starting to look at some adding some skill players maybe potentially replacing n chub in a couple years um you know maybe you need some
Additional wide receiver depth and need some Dynamic Talent yeah um that would be the time to get that if you have an established receiver that assigned long term to this team uh I think there’s a lot of opportunity for you know it to set this team up for a couple years now
In that wide receiver room to give him some options at least you know and I think it I think would it does for them going forward into the offseason right because now we’re really starting to turn our attention to the draft as we’re getting very close to the NFL draft it
Really I mean your wide receiver room really doesn’t have questions anymore right you’ve got Amari Cooper and you’ve got Jerry Judy and you’ve got Elijah Moore and those guys are I don’t want to say interchangeable but those guys can play every wide receiver position right
Judy can go into the slot a lot Elijah Moore can go to the outside Mari Cooper can go in the slot if you want him to then Judy and Moore can play the outside you can arrange those guys however you want and it really felt before they made
The Judy trade that the draft was going to need to focus on a wide receiver somewhat early in the draft for the Browns and now it doesn’t feel like that anymore because you still got Cedric Tilman and David Bell and whoever else you’re gonna have on the
Team uh so you still have good players at wide receiver that you drafted La within the last couple years and now it feels like especially having that second round pick if there’s maybe there’s a really good offensive lineman cuz it it does feel like the Browns have to
Address offensive line a little bit if maybe there’s a really good offensive lineman sitting there in the second round maybe there’s may there’s a really good defensive tackle sitting there in the second round but it really allow it it puts them in a position to just be purely best player available yep whoever
They think the best player is that’s who they go get and there’s no temptation to be like yeah but we need a receiver yeah you don’t and and I it it just go get whoever the best guy is out on the field and and that’s a really good way to
Build the franchise I like uh I like moving ER Elijah Moore out of that two position too I think it takes some pressure off him I like him better as like the spark plug when we need him in a drive you know kind of third quarter fourth quarter to just pump some energy
Into that offense um and he becomes less of a go-to Target uh because you know he had a decent season last year best season of his career but definitely inconsistent at times with catching the ball yeah but when you had that kind of spark plug roll and you just had to you
Know throw it to him two times in a drive to get you downfield a little bit like that might put him in a better position for that when he kind of gets lost in the defense a little later in the game yeah I I just I really like the
Position the Browns have put themselves in again there’s been other things that have happened uh we talked about jamus Winston that happened right before our episode last week but the Browns uh have continued to they went out and got what’s his face from Baltimore Huntley
Uh and he has signed with the Browns and so now it’s DTR and AFC pro bow or Tyler hutley yeah right and and um man this year just feels so big doesn’t it it does this year feels so big because this this is in my opinion there’s nothing else that can be
Said about deshun Wat anymore he he’s if he’s not the guy everything you need if he’s not the guy this year he’s not the guy yeah but this whole thing this whole thing revolves around him yep you’re and some you know we don’t know when Nick chub’s coming back
But all the reports are that Nick chub is ahead of schedule in his rehab and it’s not going to surprise me in the slightest to see Nick chub healthy and running the ball to start the year yeah so Nick chub nahem Hines offensively you’re really good defensively you’re
Really good uh with additions of guys like Jordan Hicks like defensively you’re good it this whole thing hinges on DeShawn Watson yeah that’s where we’re at that’s where we’re at yeah if you’re not it you you’re you’re going to move on we’re going to move on from him and
It’ll be during the season it’s got to be but but it’s scary too right cuz the scary thing is if he’s not it what are we doing with the prime of Miles Garrett and Nick chub and what are we doing with Amari Cooper and what are we doing with yeah these with David
Njoku and these guys that are such critical pieces and should be critical pieces of a winning football team they’re GNA be a winning team but man deshan Watson’s got to come out and do it there’s there’s no more excuses no more excuses you have you have an incredible offensive weapon set and it
Was proven last year I mean the fact that Joe Joe Flaco could do what he did uh coming from nothing uh in the entirety of the season um Deshawn should be able to do this and yeah they have to figure it out it’s a risk that we have
To take given the nature of this contract um but I I don’t think he’s going to have you know A Very Long Leash this season well I you know I again I don’t know about leashes and all that because he’s the guy he has to be the guy there
Is no there’s no pulling him there’s no none of that it’s just if he sucks this is it but you’re if you’re sitting at two and six I think that’s a different conversation I don’t know I don’t know I don’t know because it’s he’s your only option you’re you’re not
Gonna sit there and be like ah jamus We’re Gonna Roll with you nah we’re not doing that so again the again I but I I say this all as a credit to Andrew Barry and Kevin stefansky and the crew that have put this team together because I
Love what they’ve done this offseason I love that they have basically rebuilt the defense and and are running it back and I still think there are some holes that need filled on defense I think you got to figure out another linebacker I think you know there’s some situations that need that need

My whole life yeah right like the Over the Sea Highway the craziest Blue Water you’ve ever seen in your whole life and It All Leads you into Key West which is just a great time it was hot but it was fun we were hanging with the kids at the
Pool we ate some delicious Seafood we went down to the park to we went to the square to watch uh mallerie Square to watch the uh the sunset just had an outrageous time getting down there with the kids and the wife uh and so I’m just I’m cheersing Key West man if you’ve
Never been to Key West if you’ve never been there it’s a great place to spend a weekend yeah 100% And the chickens I am also cheersing the chickens because Key West is covered in chickens if you’re a country music fan I know they do either in April or May they
Do a Songwriters Festival in Qs yes and so everyone that writes all the country hits plays ride rounds in all the bars in Key West and apparently it’s this the biggest like most fun time in the world yeah um but I hear great things about that place cannot suggest it enough so
I’m giving Key West my shout out because it’s a great place uh all right that’s going to do it for tonight for Episode 205 we had a great time we talked a little bit about March Madness and the Browns and stuff we didn’t even know about with March Madness uh but man time
