And done for the winners of the 2024 major championships I’ll put a link through to the competition rules in the description box below have a free entry why wouldn’t you the Genesis Invitational 2024 it’s Tigers tournament he plays which is great actually played half decent didn’t

He uh at his tournament in December so uh it’s going to be interesting to see how Tiger goes around Riviera Country Club what do I need from you guys this week I think you know that we can beat 250 likes this week we beat 200 last week which was fantastic especially as

The video was up late we’re up on time this week so 200 150 likes that’ be fantastic if you are new to the channel and you are into your golf betting as we March towards the Masters in April subscribe to the channel make sure your notifications are switched on and as

Ever it’s great for the algorithm the likes yeah the subs but I need you guys to comment so please give me who you are fancying this week at the 2024 Genesis Invitational at rivy era Country Club 250 likes if you follow me on X I’m at Bamford golf that would be much appreciated

Right let’s get into this it’s a short 90 man field this year clearly 20 million up for grabs again like they did at the century like they did at Pebble Beach wow I’m I’m trying to forget the Pebble Beach event but um it wasn’t too much better weatherwise was it last week

At the Waste Management Phoenix Open so we are due in Los angelist this week better weather so that’s uh that’s one good thing we might have a tournament that finishes with no delays RI ri right re reset Riviera country it’s been a busy day Pacific Palisades Los Angeles California designer Neville and George

Thomas 1926 had various different Ren Ovations the most recent of which 2008 Tom Fazzio I’m not sure I’d let Tom Fazzio loose on such a beautiful classical golf course but they did um it is a classical type it’s treelined old style it is medium I categorize this as

Medium in length par 71 three par fivs so same as last week 7,322 yards don’t forget last week I think it was 7 7261 something like like that they played it at altitude this time 7,322 22 yards no um no altitude involved whatsoever medium length golf course holes with water

Zero number of bunkers 58 AC of Fairway 37 Fairways kikuya grass rough kikuya grass 2 in the greens are big 7 and a 12,000 Square ft on average they feature poana tournament stimp they’ve upped it this year apparently to 12 and A2 now this golf course reminds me in many

Ways to what we saw at Los Angeles Country Club last year for the uh US Open that was Far broader I’ll give you that they had like Runway wide Fairways on the North Course at Lac but this Golf Course Los Angeles set again in a canyon lots and lots of uneven lies

Um we’ve also got a situation here where lots of undulation so uphill downhill if you like that’s definitely what we saw on the North Co at La might not surprise you George Thomas was involved in both Riviera and of course Los Angeles Country Club so you can see that across both designs the

Kikuyu grass um Fairways and rough is interesting as we discussed a few weeks ago at Tory Pines the only two courses that have kakuya grass on the PJ tour are here and at the Farmers Insurance open at Tory Pine so any form to Tori US Open they held there that John ran won

All works all works very nicely um Kaku grass say this a lot of times tends to work nicely for uh Australians can work very well for for South Africans as well not that you get many left on the PGA T apart from Christian Baden who I believe Eric Van

Royan is not qualified for this field um where this does really differ though to LACC is the width of the fairways 26 yards wide at 300 yards carry now that compares to 28 yards wide at Scottdale last week and 29 yards at Pebble Beach peir uh Tory Pine South

Also 25 yards so thin Fairways the the difference here is though the pen with this kakuya grass it this isn’t the same as the the South course at T Pines if you’re in the rough it doesn’t overly matter um it has though in my opinion this golf course has almost turned

Especially in recent years bom and gouge drive her away hit it as far as you want if at the end of the day if someone that’s bombing at 330 is missing the Fairway and someone that’s bombing at 290 is missing the Fairway those with that Advantage From the Rough they can

Be taking mid irons in to greens that’s the point it’s a very US Open type style here you know the deshambo uh at Wing foot kind of thing where you can hit it as far as you can and at the end of the day you’re going to be far

Closer to the green complex that tends to be how Genesis is becoming and Riviera is becoming um a golf course that’s could it’s going to it’s going to profit from the roll back um in the future at the moment they basically just power it over the dog leg here you can

It’s great if you can move the ball both ways here left and right classical goal of course they they all tend to be like that but it you know bombs away it’s pure power off the tea here um that isn’t overly helpful when you notice

That most of the players at the top of the world rankings and the elite players can bomb the ball anyway so um it does help here though in my opinion to have a top notch approach game on arrival and yes I’m looking for players with plenty of pop off the

Tea um in terms of the weather can you believe it we are actually going to have nice weather this week it’s going to be very very well compared to previous weeks it’s going to be quite nice quite stable as well 17 to 20° C that is 63 to

68 fit that is warmer than last year I don’t think it broke 20 Celsius last year the really interesting thing though here this part of Los Angeles Pacific palisad has had a absolute torrent of rain of late 255 millimet in February that’s 10 in last week the golf course

Received 175 mil that’s 7 in of rain now golf coures clearly drain quickly um it’s not going to be red hot here so I would I think the turf Thursday Friday there there’s no rain during uh rain forecast during tournament week until Sunday I do think we’re going to see

Thursday and Friday this golf course not quite as firm and fast as we usually do and we certainly saw that last week at TPC Scottsdale didn’t we there you used to traditionally you get those greens that have got that sheen on them with the PO trivia

List not this not this year those greens were really nice and receptive I get the feeling the greens here aren’t going to be as gnarly as quick as they are as standard here and Phoenix tend to be the first two events of the calendar year where the condition the turf conditions

Are firmer and faster now we didn’t get it last week and I don’t think for the opening round at the very least we’re going to get it this year 2024 at the Genesis Invitational but that course will dry each and every day I think by the weekend we should be getting to a

Point where those greens are putting up some severe resistance they are poana they are large but they are severe ulations here they are tougher greens than Tory Pines far tougher than Pebble Beach of course the difficulty with Pebble Beach is actually getting the ball on the green because the greens are

So small here bigger greens but undulating greens and there’s no doubt when you look at players that have done well in the past John Ram the winner here last year well he’s a Masters champion Adam got he’s a master’s Champion Baba Watson he’s a master’s Champion even JB Holmes finished fourth

At austa National there is something in that but don’t let that completely fool you Max Homer never done anything at Augusta NA national wack Neeman who won here hadn’t really done anything at Augusta before he moved to live so it isn’t the be and endle but there is

Definitely a link there I think there’s also links to potentially Charles swab challenge to Colonial also something here about players that do really really well at the sentury Rams a winner at the senty Neeman had a second I think he got beat in a playoff there holes finished third

There Adam Scott’s finished runner up there JB Holmes has finished fourth there so some decent form around kaaloa isn’t a bad look right key player skills required you’ll be glad to hear that my spreadsheet isn’t up and running but regulars will know that’s rarely the case anyway because I wouldn’t be that

Organized the trouble is I have to set the studio up write a preview this morning it’s been a busy day now let me get you The Strokes gained per course information up right so basically looking at those that make the cut where the Champions fit in the field that

Particular week for skill sets right Riviera this goes back to 2016 all the winners off the t7th on approach around the green 23rd T to Green fourth and we’ve got Strokes game putting 14th so to put that into a summary Tia green more more important than last week at

Phoenix around the green more important than Phoenix which would make sense because you’re going to miss greens this week even with softer conditions I think if you’re if you’re the right side of 70 odd per Greens in rig you’re going to be way above field average approach eth

That is the highest number the biggest number the most um important number for approach that we’ve seen so far since the start 2024 and 17th for off the te I genuinely think um long power excellent approach play and the ability to scramble proper Elite gut skills the

Thing is though when you’re dealing with a full field event here and you this isn’t the situation where we had a calura a few weeks ago where for lots of years there was only 30 players Strokes game putting 14th you’ve got to have a reasonably warm putter

This week and that put me off Tony Fe now but um he’s being backed in off the board and I can see right going back to Steve Stricker in 2010 driving distance this again just working through where the Champions ended up uh their respective skill sets across those that

Made the cut driving distance 30th driving accuracy 40th have no importance whatsoever Greens in regulation 12th proximity to whole 17th scrambling 17th pting average 13th right let’s talk predictor model top 10 of course you can use the predictor at golf betting system completely free of charge I urge you to

Do so I put a link in the in the description to the predict I pulled a prediction model together this morning I’m recording this on Monday here is my top 10 love the model um the predictor you as you’re using the variables the data is just updating live

On the screen there’s none of this waiting 35 45 seconds for your numbers to be generated it’s the numbers are moving the rankings are changing as you play with the predictor and it’s completely free of charge why wouldn’t you we’ve also got DraftKings tab on

There as well so you can just use it to to find some low owned players at at at low at low prices this week top 10 right 10 is Xander I’m totally Bor on Xander doesn’t win enough always a terrible price 14 to1 with B Fair Sports if I

Mention additional eway places all the 50 odds there’re seven places nine is Adam Scott 40 to1 with bet Fair seven places each way a winner here eight is sah tala 33 to1 with William Hill seven places each way seven Sam Burns 25 to1 with bet Fair seven place each way six

Patrick Klay horribly out formed 20 to1 with bet Fair seven places each way Klay starting to drift Xander never drifts top five maroy 8 to one with William Hill seven places each one four is Colin marawa I was on him here I was on him here last year he finished in the each

Way places 18 to one we bet 365 eight places each way three is Max Homer 16 to1 with lad Brooks eight places each way two is Justin Thomas 20 to1 with bet 365 5 eight places each way number one Scotty Sheffer 7 to1 with bet 365 eight

Places each way for the guy that laps the field in Strokes going ta to Green but cannot get the ball to to actually get to the hole or in the hole when he’s got the flat stick Sheffer 7 to1 Thomas 20 to1 Max Homer 16 to1 morawa 18 to1

Rory maroy 8 to1 the top five of my prediction model why don’t you come and play with those numbers yourself I’ve also got to highlight Strokes gained rankings number they are in the description box so across this whole field who has the best Strokes gain numbers across all of the different

Categories at Rivier Country Club take a look at it absolutely fantastic statistics again completely free of charge at golf betting system uh if you’re still with us don’t forget press that like button 250 likes you can follow me on X at B for golf and it

Would be fantastic to have you on board as a subscriber we are moving towards five I know it’s it’s a way out there but 5,000 subscribers it’d be absolutely fantastic right rolling 8 week statistics I’ve already said that te to green and approach are the numbers we

Are looking for if you come to my betting preview which again is available in the description box I list top 25 rankings in this field over the past eight weeks that includes DP World Tour uh for the courtesy of this show I go through the top 12 so here are the

Top 12 a tire for 12 12 for strokes G approach ludvig a oer Keegan Bradley and KK kitama 11 is Tom hogi 10 last week’s winner Nick Taylor nine Tony fenel eight col morawa Ty for six Windam Clark and Nicol hoard five is Tiger Woods four is Justin

Thomas three is Adam Scott two Christian Baden hoot number one Scotty Sheffer Strokes gain te to Green to 12 a tie for 11th Cory Connors and Tommy Fleetwood 10 is Windam Clark nine is Tiger Woods eight is Kurt kitama a tie for sixth Xander and Jordan

Spe a tie for fourth Tony feno and Nikolai hoard three is Adam Scott I can see why people are backing Adam Scott 41 course winner uh top when I say backdoor top 10 i’ certainly mean backdoor last week uh two Scotty shefer number one Justin Thomas two weeks running he’s

Been top of T green JT two last events and strokes gained total in fact let’s go through Strokes gained putting as well because putting this week means something top 12 uh in this field ranks 11 there’s a Time Mackenzie Hughes woohoo that’s a surprise Rory maroy JT the postman

Poston ten is Ben Griffin a great putter uh a TI for eth ludig oer and Adam Scott that might surprise you seven is Andrew putam six is Brendan totd there’s a surprise five is Victor hovland it’s about the only thing Victor can do at the moment put quite well three Jordan

SP tied with Nick Taylor unless he’s patting from three feet and in two Tiger Woods number one Sam Burns right Strokes gained current form the best current Strokes gain players on the PJ tour over the last eight weeks 12th JT Poston 11th Tony Fen now TI for eighth ludvig aerg Kirk Kama

Tiger Woods seven is Xander six is Sam Burns five is Jordan SPI four is Nicolo hoard three is Adam Scott two is Justin Thomas number one the world number one Scotty Sheffer historic odds of winners love it this week 15-2 favorite last year John Ron he’d won at the century he’d won the

American Express he’d won he then win and won here yeah that’ be right 2022 75 to1 never had one uh no that’s not true he had one once wacky nean 75 to1 one here in 2022 2021 Max Homer 60 to1 and 2020 Adam Scott 33 to1 the top last five years

Rounded off by JB Holmes a big Outsider 150 to1 take those average them through Last 5 Years 65 to1 going back to 2010 Steve Stricker 16 to1 the overall average is 76 to1 33 to1 60 to1 75 to1 then we’ve had 150 and 15-2 favorite Scotty sheffer’s in played

There’s no doubt about that um the only thing I don’t like about Scotty Sheffer is he’d never won on poana John Ram of course had he dominated Tory Pines both at the Farmers Insurance open his Maiden PGA to Victory and the US Open you don’t get to see

That with Scotty and as we said last week with Scotty if there was a perfect golf course for him it’s TPC Scottdale and if there were perfect greens for them for him he does like a bit of Bermuda and he does like Bermuda that’s got po trivialist overseed still

Couldn’t get the job done which gives me hope gives me hope Scotty Sheffer doesn’t win this week um world ranking I do tend to mention that as well don’t I uh stroke the go the world ranking of the winners of this tournament over the last few years Ron was third in the

World nean 32nd Homer 91st Scott 14th holes 100th so there’s some latitude there isn’t there take ram away 32nd 91st 14th top 20 for Scott in the world JB holes 100th interesting interesting right I haven’t gone for anyone up at those big reaches but here this is where I’m at

I’ve gone quite a few this week it was like I was like a kid in a toy shop toy shop um all of my selections this week are with bet 3658 places each way great prices this week bet 365 unlike Paddy Power bet Fair sports book Sky Bet William

Hill The Usual Suspects they have gone eight places each way this week a 50 odds if you back via their eway extra facility and that is what I have done they’re also offering 10 places and 12 places each way as well on a short 90 man

Field the only other uh Book Maker doing that a boil sport so Kudos boil Sports kudos to bet 365 uh genuine 8 10 12 places each way available at bet 365 this week if you’re fancy a new customer offer click through to my betting preview and you can get um get on

Board first up for me 20 to1 bet 365 eight places each way lud viig oberg you heard plenty of him um on approach numbers TI green numbers and strokes game current form numbers I can remember Adam Scott winning this long time ago uh 2005 on season uh on his course debut it

Can happen cam young was second here two years ago on course debut Victor hin fifth here in 2021 Aber Berg oberg at the end of the day he’s finished in the top 10 at Tory Pines on course debut second at Pebble Beach on course dut this guy seems to

Transcend just the normal trends of golf to a certain extent and that’s what the good guys do they just turn up and play well I don’t see why Riviera country is going to be any different potentially um he clearly gets on with po that’s clear from those results also he won on

A mixture of B grass and POA at KRON Shier last year on the DP World Tour the Amiga European Masters so obviously gets on with poana 20 to1 I thought that was a reasonable price on on someone he’s so talented and in such good Nick also the

Fact that this goal course is not in any way shape or form a wedge golf course it’s all 150 yards and out abber you know Ober he’s fantastic at distance he’s going to be a proper player a proper major championship golfer ludvig o I’ve gone two points each way 20 to1 with bet

365 next up I was on him last week and so often happens you’re on a player he does well for you he finish third for me and you kind of move on pass but this week what really not I noticed was his J odds have jumped by eight points even

Though he’s finished third two points each way 28 to one with bet 365 eight places each way I got on Sam Burns as you heard earlier he’s been backed into 25 to one you might not get anywhere near that if you’re watching this say on a Tuesday or a Wednesday but Sam Burns

28 to1 I’m on uh sixth at the American Express 10th at Pebble Beach and third last week at TPC Scotts though he’s had a good West Coast Swing hasn’t he he was the 36 and 54 hole leader here three years ago and since that point he has won five PGA

Tour titles I just love the way that across both the third round and the fourth round he was brilliant with his approach play last week Sensational with the driver and as you know and as I mentioned earlier on ranks number one in this field for strokes gained putting

Over the last eight weeks what is there not to like Sam Burns 28 to1 with bet 365 each way extra eight places each way next up another player who was right in the mix last week uh didn’t make the playoff made the top five but I actually think this golf course

Suits him far better than TPC Scottsdale so I’m on 33 to1 I got there was a smidgen of 40 to1 when bet 365 opened up this morning that was annihilated in two minutes sahi igala one and a half points each way 33 to one I’ve got with bet 365

Eight places each way by the each way extra facility went to Pepper dime 20 minute Journey down the road from here and you just look you know fifth last week at Phoenix he’s already finished third there in the past he’s he’s got his first pga2 victory at the foret championship bent poan mix

Greens in California this is his kind of terrain brilliant with the approach play the fact that the driver can be Mega Wayward here is not an issue we’ve already discussed the kakuya grass as long as you’re hitting it a distance and you’re not getting blocked out by a tree

Doesn’t really matter tala you can just tell he is a big boy Golf Course player going to do well in Majors 33 to1 with bet 365 love the price this also made sense to me it certainly made sense after rounds two and three at Scottsdale last week where

He was absolutely ripping it up Windam Clark I’m still amazed in this world that on a major Champion three-time winner on the PJ tour within the last 12 months you’re grabbing 40 to1 about Windam Clark but I’m on bet 365 eight places each way on Windam Clark got a

Decent record here 17th 8th 33rd um we know for a fact that he won the US Open on a George Thomas original last year at the North Course of Lac that was the last time the this tour came to Los Angeles and Windam Clark was the winner

Um we also know that he can put lights out on poana we saw that two weeks ago at Pebble Beach where he took out a signature event I’m on 40 to1 bet 365 eight places each way by their each way extra facility on wyc finally tempted last week didn’t take

Him I know a lot of you did and fair play to you um managed to get a share of eighth place so not a fully way payout depending on who you how many places you went but this guy has been absolutely light outs in my statistics for a number

Of weeks now and for me he tends to be the kind of player I mean he’s he’s finished in the top five at the PGA Championship last year so just tell show shows you major championship difficulty Golf and he was mixing it with the best

Of them he ranks right now in my Strokes game numbers uh where where where where where where are you we’ll get there he ranks 10th for off the two TI for 12th for approach and he was in the top eight for T2 green he was also in the top eight

For strokes gained current form over the last eight weeks in this field when I wrote the tip this morning he was 100 to one with bet 365 been backed into 90 but I’m taking it a point each way on Kurt kitama 90 to1 bet 365 eight places each

Way it’s not very often that you see such great numbers and such long odds so I’m on kitama don’t forget he won the elevated event last year at Bay Hill in a absolutely superb field so he can get the job done two uh 90 to1 I

Think is a great price on kurk kittama so kittama at9 90 to1 Clark at 40 to1 sahi tala at 33 to1 Sam Burns at 28 to1 and finally ludvig oer I said it properly this time at 21 those are my five for the Genesis Invitational 2024

If you’ve made it this far follow me on X at banford golf please subscribe to the channel and of course let’s smash through 250 likes we’re back next week for the the danta Mexico open I will see you then

  1. Hi Steve – interesting selections. I was amazed that Clark's odds weren't jumped on by punters as i definitely feel he's one of the favourites. I thought long and hard about Theegala and Aberg (i've placed with them in the last couple of events) but left them out and will probably regret it. In the end i backed Hovland, Morikawa, Finau & Scott in addition to Clark. Had to leave Homa out too based on poor form.

  2. Couldn't resist Scott this week he is hitting the ball so well right now. Very pleased to see him so high up on your T2G figures. Backing him up with Hojgaard, Si Woo, Burns and Hoge. GL

  3. Great content Steve. I’ve gone for Cam Young and also can’t resist the 50’s on Clarke and Kitayama at huge price. Good luck to everyone.

  4. Backed Taylor at 15/2 when he was 2 back. Can't believe I came out on the right side . Gutted for Hoff, he did nothing wrong. I'm on your tips this week.! Let's get the kitty for the masters

  5. I went with your 5 this week Steve. I had a €4 free bet via Sky Bet on Adam Scott at double carpet. I didn't know that I could split the bet into whatever! Hey my mistake, so fingers crossed. I assume this is a signature event with no cut? 🤞🏌

  6. Great show again Steve, I'm onboard with Aberg and Sam Byrnes both make a lot of sense……… I feel Scott will go close without winning so did Top 5 bet on him.
I was close to picking JT aslo but there is still something not right with his game so I'll leave him till the players
