Golf every play player practices to perform at that level when you practice that’s what that’s how you’re supposed to play in your mind and he did it for 18 straight holes shooting a course record 59 breaking 60 putting his name in the history books that was awesome uh

Number two John ROM had all the pressure in the world on him performed well Bogi the last two holes but had a great day he said he felt the pressure that was something that uh that we knew was going to be the case but he is I mean he has a

Thirst for greatness like nobody else and uh number three it just reaffirmed my love for the Riviera Maya Koba south of camun right here um this is my happiest place on Earth and I’m going to find out a way to live here eventually got to if if you figure out how to do

That just let me know I can join you as well absolutely I want to talk about Neiman but first John Ram I was watching and I heard you say he’s got this new sheriff in town energy to him he’s so fun to watch let’s I want you to talk

About him a little more well like I said he has a thirst for greatness that so many of these guys do that you don’t get to the top of the game without it um they made the decision to come to live golf and you know when you do that in

The early stages of this still is our infancy there’s going to be some criticism uh he took it held his head high kept his shoulders back and went out and did what he is going to continue to do that is perform at the highest level because all he cares about is

Winning winning golf tournaments he wants to win this first live event he wants to win every live event uh it’s not easy actually it’s hard as hell and then he wants to win majors and uh I think he performed incredibly well now would you say you have any honorable

Mentions from yesterday maybe a guy who under the radar but you think he’s going to shine in days to come I think people might get a little tired of me talking about him incessantly but he’s one of my favorite people and he’s also an incredible player Patrick Reed he went

Out yesterday he hit more Fairways than anybody that is the number one key to this course well if not it’s number two he hit the second most greens of anybody in the field only second to Wako Neeman and this is a ball Striker Paradise you can’t fake it around this golf course

Here the commed own golf course at Maya COA you have to have it T to Green if you don’t you get exposed we saw a lot of players with some Rust get exposed yesterday today with the winds up you cannot fake it at all there will be some

Much higher scores today well I’d be crazy not to keep bringing up Neiman so let’s actually take a look at some of his highlights Jerry let me hear from you how incredible this game was yesterday well like I mentioned I hinted at the he just had what we call God golf

You know players call it God golf you get up on the tea you have no fear you stripe it down the middle he hit a lot of Fairways he hit the most greens of Ed and when you watch his follow through on most of these iron shots you don’t see

Any lean in the body what that tells you is that ball is going exactly where he wanted it to exactly where he wanted it to most players put a little body English on that finish they were spot on every time but then it’s one thing to hit the ball that well it’s another

Thing to put it all together all aspects of the game wedge game was in play but most importantly was this club right here the putter every single putt except for that one that one caught the corner every single putt went in the center of the hole impress Jerry how do you stay

Focused when everything’s going right I feel like it’s almost harder to stay focused when things are going well interestingly enough we were all talking about it early you try not to jinx him you don’t want to talk to a pitcher throwing a no hitter you try not to jinx

Him by saying 59 being on 59 watch cuz that is the magic number in professional golf um he didn’t know he knew he was playing well but he didn’t want to do the math in his head was par 72 or 71 until somebody mentioned it on 18 and to

Be quite honest it certainly looked like it got to him and he even hinted it it did cuz he had his worst put of the day on 18 for birdie his final hole was number one he chunked a wedge from the Fairway there and then went up and quick

Hit his birdie putt he he just wanted to get it in the hole at 59 I love that highlight right there it almost was like he had no clue it went in yeah that was number 11 like oh thumbs up it went in I’m that good yeah nine under through 10

Holes at the time right there unbelievable I I I got to be honest with you Jerry I was glued to my seat watching this one what a first day for me to see this well yeah yeah but you were glued to your seat cuz this is your

Played with lift clean and place conditions ball in your hand so I think Waco might even take the championship role in this bragging rights but we have played 67 competitive rounds of golf in live golf history we’ve had two course records on former PGA Tour hosted courses breaking those course records

And breaking 60 as well unbelievable I I feel lucky to be able to be here to see that and I’m not the only one fans are excited about yesterday look at all these tweets about Neiman and of course this is exactly what we expect especially from our incredible live golf

Sure the guys are comfortable and happy and um at tournaments everybody’s here so it gives us the chance to meet with all the live staff about what’s going on in the business and updating them um getting their support with certain things um so it really depends on the

Day but tournaments are mainly about making sure the guys are comfortable and ready and supported to go play well now uh you guys have this thing and they’re going to promote it here shortly uh Camp Confidential out right now through social media channels on YouTube where

You guys spent you call it camp at Ian polter’s house that’s not exactly like Camp there were no tents involved it’s a estate actually but nonetheless you’re known as the numbers guy to try and bring the best out in these guys because as they said they had a well this just a

Crap season last year um how are you going to be able to help these guys perform at their highest level I think just support them anyway way they can I mean the the stat stuff was all about us making sure that we really understood what the challenges were or where the

Opportunity areas were for the guys instead of guessing at it which I think is is easy to do I think we’ve all come off the golf course and thought I didn’t putt well i’ actually look at the data it might tell you a different story I

Think gives them the chance to make sure they’re working as efficiently as possible um you know these guys are you know at the upper end of the age scale is the probably the politically correct way to say it so for us it’s all about working smarter not harder they’re still

Very passion and putting a lot of hours in but we want to make sure that we are you know refining that work as much as we can to you know get those incremental games in a game of you know a game of very small margins who uh who’s the funniest guy on the

Camp Confidential um I want to start and ask an important question to you why did you guys decide to do that you really opened up and let fans see a side that maybe they never saw before what was the purpose of that yeah I mean it was obviously important we came together at

The end of the season to reflect on what happened and what was good what was bad and what our plan and objectives were going to be for this year but the reason we decided to bring the cameras in was it was a really cool unique opportunity

For us to really show fans what was going on I think I still get a lot of questions every day around how how does it work and how does the setup happen and I think it was a unique opportunity for us to really show fans and people

And educate them about what the product is so um and and it seems to have gone down well so we’re glad we did it so we’re actually back here I’m going to ask you more about the reason why you started Camp Confidential but here is a tweet about your little sticks program

It’s a community give back program can you talk a little bit about that I I love it looks like you guys go all out for for this program yeah I mean we we’re lucky we got some players that are not afraid to get get involved but

Um our mission of our team is to be a winning team and a thriving community making a difference on and off the course and our little sticks program is is integral to that obviously it’s not just a tagline it’s something that we and my CM OE Banks really spearheads

This program with a guy on our team called Jordan Stevenson they did an incredible job um the program’s been I love this the program has been launched um in the UK and the US and we’ve got some really exciting things going on to roll it out on a bigger scale next year

And you know the the idea is to unleash potential of young people through golf using golf as a vehicle to kind of broaden their Horizons give them some confidence and so far it’s been really success F and we’re really proud of it I I I think it’s absolutely amazing seeing

Ian there in that costume just you know breaking the walls and and reaching out to the kids is absolutely amazing now I asked you about Camp Confidential during our break but now we’re back to the main feed so I want to ask you again why was

It so important for you guys to start that yeah again it was important for two reasons for the business it’s normal course of action to kind of review your season and and make plans and have some good honest discussions with each other other but I think I still get lots of

Questions every day about how does it work and how do the players interact do they they really care about this team thing and I think that was a really good opportunity for us to demonstrate how important it is and how much into the detail that that we are um you know our

Guys have taken their fair share of criticism I think they were probably the first people to join live and sign up and you know the league model and the team model is one of the very core reasons of why they did that um of course the commercial aspect of it was

Big but the opportunity to be part of a team you know have a a production of it was good too yeah exactly so um it’s a real show yeah it was a real show and you know it’s always nerve-wracking when you do those things kind of putting

Yourself out there as you know in this type of job but the the cool thing is the reaction from everybody’s been cool and a lot of oh my God I had no idea and that’s exactly what it was designed to be able to do is is let people have the

Information to judge for themselves well I I really commend you with the transparency of that show absolutely brilliant thanks for that stick around here uh coming up in just a few seconds actually what to watch for we are so close to round two getting started let’s

Check in with suan and Dom Dom you’re up first the stats from yesterday shows how important it is to hit Fairways the top six on the leaderboard all hit at least 50% of the fairways which translated to at least 12 Greens in regulation now listen the rough is not that penal but

There’s a lot of Bermuda here and you catch flyers from Bermuda and you just don’t have enough control to give yourself enough birdie chances so the key is hit the fairways guys no doubt Walker 59 was impressive and he’s established a lead but you can’t win on day one question is

Is he going to play as aggressive as he did yesterday well I caught up with his caddy Gary Matthews on the puttting green earlier and he says no doubt he’s going to play exactly the same as he did yesterday he’s been here five times he’s very confident he’s comfortable out here

He is going to take driver off one again so there you go we know where his head is at and that’s a top of the podium on Sunday all right guys now you know 2024 promises to be the most exciting year yet for the live golf league new players
