The Cobra dark speed X these are the two Flagship models for 2024 by both Brands this one’s offering a little bit more for distance supposedly and this one’s offering a little bit more for forgiveness which one’s better well today we’re going to obviously put this

Up the test on the 11th pole here at lenda on the links course but also take it over to custom golf work and woking back in some rainy England right now though let’s talk about the difference in looks because there’s actually some significant differences here first off Cobra now Cobra actually gone quite

Different for 2024 like remnants of Batman kind of aerodynamics it’s a very much a matap finish and actually it reminds me a lot more of the Callaway Rogue St with that elongated head shape and it’s a very deep head now if we compare this to the tailormade qi1 the

Qi1 is extremely glossy meaning that you’re going to see some reflection of the wonderful Spanish Sun that’s putting onto me right now so if you prefer a glossy finish tlor made is the one to go for whereas a sleer matte finish cobra Cobra I feel like is going to take the

Top spot for looks this year it’s very black it’s very modern it’s very Sleek T is quite similar but we’ve got a little bit more of a glossy chrome finish with blue with a little bit of yellow so take that what you may but for me personally

I think down at a dress I prefer the tailor made but for a head-on shelf appeal I prefer the Cobra now the Cobra has some adjustable weighting but not as much as let’s say Callaway it’s not a wheel it’s just some in the front and

The back to change the CG of the club whereas with the the tailor made you have an adjustable huzzle similar to Callaway similar to COBRA but all you have is this kind of composite ring in the back here so not too much adjustability in this but you can have

Caveat I think I hit the Cobra dark speed a little bit better so the numbers are somewhat inflated but if we have a look at these numbers over here you can see I was averaging 172 man out with the Cobra dark speed X whereas with the tail

Qi1 it’s about 169 168 but the most interesting thing here for me is the spin rate I think in general the Cobra dark speed LS X and Max does offer slightly lower spin it also does have adjustable weighting which is really important in the ls separate video but

You can see here at 2100 Spin and I actually climbed lower than that 328 yard total now the taor QI 10 310 yard total 18 yard difference I will say it’s definitely not as big as this but with that low spin of the cobrit dark speed you’re also going to find slightly less

Forgiveness I noticed that here I’ve noticed that in my other testing yes you can change the weights a little bit if you want introduce some more Sid spin some less side spin for your misses but the t q i 10 I was finding the Fairway more with overall in this testing it’s

Bit more neck and neck but with the near hundreds thousands of shots that I’ve hit with both of these clubs I found that with the tailor made I’m finding more Fairways maybe four or five yards behind the Cobra dark speed so when it comes to pressure holes I would rather

Have the tailor made in my hands when it comes to hitting bombs Cobra every single day let’s put it to the test now shall we I’m going to go back to laender I’m going to get Johnny on board as well and we’re going to put these drivers

Head to-head so we are back now at laas Enda on the linkx course 11th hole playing about 360 M what’s that 380 yards but we’ve got downwind and there’s a bit of a shortcut which I’m going to take I don’t know where these balls are going to go so I’ve got my wonderful

What I was really cool to see is I think the forgiveness in play about with the tailor maid I would say I hit them pretty similar to the Cobra whereas the Cobra’s uh worst shot was really really poor whereas the Cobra’s best shot I think superseded the tailor made by

Quite some distance so we’re seeing a slight difference here with forgiveness and distance which kind of agrees with custom golf work so let’s go find those apologize to Johnny for trying to kill him I won’t do it next time and tell you the winner of this video out of

Don’t know I don’t think so because with speed you also need forgiveness I feel like it’s lacking J just somewhat not by a massive margin but if we’re comparing it to the tailor made Qi 10 I feel like what the qi1 does really well is it has

A blend of distance and forgiveness so we can kind of see I wouldn’t say as a winner but there’s two clear categories you can go for here I think Cobra as a whole is the distance driver this year definitely it’s kind of close with Callaway but in terms of that low spin

Those low launching those bombs well KL Burk is going to use it if you want distance you should use it too however if you want a blend of forgiveness and distance I think that’s when you go for the tailor made qi1 however this is just my opinion this is just golf Magic’s
