Philadelphia Eagles longtime center Jason Kelce reportedly retiring | Pro Football Talk | NFL on NBC
https://www.youtube.com/NFLonNBC
Real quick you saw at the end of the game Jason Kelce the eagle Center crying emotional after the game reporters went to talked to him he said not today he has reportedly told teammates that he will be retiring not a shock because it feels like the past couple of years he’s
Been year to year thinking about it will I come back won’t I come back so he’s retiring and Chris I have a feeling and I have I know nothing in this regard but he made that visit to the Amazon Booth this past year yeah I I will not be
Surprised if they wedge him into the booth and it’s going to take a big shorn wedge him in there with Kirk herb Street and Al Michaels and it’s going to invigorate Al Al was as happy as he’s been all year when Jason Kel agreed I I mean I I I think I said
It at the time that’s what it felt like those are some of the rumors I heard within the industry that that was happening and I believe like uh Al had like a Freudian slip anyways when he was in there and was like well this was a
Good tryy out you know like he literally said something like that towards the end like basically telling everybody we’re we’re trying this guy out for next year uh he’ll be awesome at whatever he does I mean of course a Hall of Famer one of the greatest centers of Our Generation
Right and uh a great personality understands the game people I’ll be sad to see him go it really was and and let’s not forget the focal point of the tush push the tush push was capable yeah because they got a lot of big awesome dudes we know that but started with
Jason Kelce and the fact that he could snap the ball and get lower than everybody else and that was the key to last night I don’t know if we have a tape of the tush push again but I thought Troy did a really good job it
Was the first time and I think I texted you right as they went to commercial I was like it’s the first time I saw somebody beat them to the punch and get lower it was like the ball snap and 96 when I’m getting underneath Jason Kelce I don’t care about anything else I’m
Going to get underneath him so they can’t start the momentum and it was the best we saw anybody defend the tush push off that yet but uh there it is uh but either way this play that’s so famous around football is be is what it is
Because of of Jason Kelce and and how awesome of a football player he is it it it also it also helps when you pull the quarterback away from the goal line with his face mask that’s another effective mechanism for keeping the quarterback from scoring it is amazing to me that
You got and this is a this goes back to are we going to embrace technology you were going to rely on the eye on the sky that’s something that we all saw at home and that the people out there in the Striped Church didn’t see that’s inexcusable when Millions see it and the
Seven with the authority to throw the flag none of them do that’s that’s bad and that’s why they need to overhaul officiating just one of the many reasons why hi it’s Mike Florio thanks for watching PFT on YouTube hit subscribe for the latest news and Analysis from pro football talk

Comin from a steeler guy. This makes me sad, Jason is awesome 👌. Sorry eagles fans this year was a wild one and off season gonna be even wilder. Steelers probably losing cam hayward to so ur not alone 😢.
Don't report anything unless you have concrete proof
Yes he got under kelsy to foul the play
Goat Kelsey
Not eagles fan but Jason is one of the very few that is a true player he gave it his all he is a true football player loves the game not the money very rare great job Jason he deserves one more ring I thought they where going to win it all
Eagles wouldnt have won even if they got that 2pt try anyways
Not at all an Eagles fan, but anyone who loves football has to respect what Jason did for his team and the sport. Few excelled at their craft, at their position to the level the man did. Few played as hard while injured as much as he did to tough things out for the team….for the city.
Congratulations on an outstanding career Jason
🏈🐐Jason will be greatly missed!
Mike I disagree about the tushpush BS…. Look I don't think they've gotten alot of those… but the Refs didn't catch it. So Ya he got masked last nite and the Refs missed it.. but that's how that play is gonna go. You can't push players from behind and not expect the Defense PUSH back and figure out.. the way you stop it is to be DIRTY in the pile just like the Eagles are. Ughhh Look that play shouldn't be allowed… if they really "Cared" about player safety.
Health is wealth!!!!! Therefore, Jason Kelce made the right decision.
The race mask wasn't what prevented him from scoring he was stopped…don't get me wrong the idiot shouldn't have grabbed the face mask.
Every game so many bad calls by refs Stafford was hit late hit in the head stepped on in one play they miss all 3? How about the CLEAR PI with RAMS in FG range to win game. DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH MORE NFL FOOTBALL I CAN WATCH WHERE REFS bad calls or non-calls DECIDE GAMES
The face mask pull on Hurts was criminal. And the commentators completely keeping mum about it was ridiculous. I understand you don't like the play and you rejoice someone stopping it. But not calling out how they cheated to do it, shame on them.
the fewer kelce's in the nfl the better. Good bye and take taylors boyfriend with you.
No more tush push, he was a key part of that play they always run. He’s one of the greatest Centers in the NFL a good person too.
Jason Kelce is from Cleveland, but he'll always be a Philadelphian in millions of Philadelphian's hearts.
Thanks Jason, IF you're really retiring.
I hope not.
Love,
Philadelphia.
Class Act on and off the field. Jason will be missed but retirement is a wise decision and deserving.
I remember when Luke Kuechly retired …. It is the same affect ….
You could actually see that moment as he walked off the field. It must be such an overwhelming moment. You have played a game in one form or another since you were like 4. You find success at all the important levels to reach the game's peak and you make a career out of that. You could see the emotion as he briefly looked up at the stands before heading into the tunnel. A very special individual who epitomizes what it demands of you when you buy into something and give your 100 percent.
Definitely agree about missed facemask call during tushpush..seriously could have hurt his neck…that should have been a flag called for sure
I've been watching the NFL for 40 years but it took Jason Kelce for me to actually watch and see what offensive linemen did and what a center does for his team. Couldn't have picked a better representative to pay attention to. Look forward to seeing him in the booth or coaching, he can do anything he wants.
Unless the 9ers pluck him for a year for a repeat run. Ala Whitmore. 🤷🏾♂️
I began crying for him six weeks ago. Last night solidified it. He tried so hard to pull this team together, they just didn’t get it. We haven’t heard the last of him, his career is just beginning. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Not an Eagles fan but he's a great ambassador for the game and I wish him all the best!
