What’s actually happening like remember um early in the season in 2023 Jack’s get off was really really slow and I highlighted that a few times then it got better in the middle of the year and by the end of the season it was it was

Topic um Justin fry come up a come come under a little uh into the fryer kind of he got thrown into the fryer after that Cotton Bowl uh fans are not happy we’ve got coaching changes all over Park Parker Fleming fired uh Matt G coming in uh to coach the safeties Perry Aliano

Out so let’s talk about uh our guy Justin fry the fry guy what up fry guy um anyways more coaching changes are coming um we have an open slot right now and don’t say Mike Vel please don’t say Mike Vel I’ll lose my top please don’t say Mike FR he’s not

Gonna coach College why would an NFL coach come back to coach College where you got to go recruit 365 days a year you work non-stop more than an NFL coach in the NFL players have a limit on the number of hours they can practice and

you know and be in the facility so you’re going to sit there you know they have they have weeks and weeks off over the summer before the season starts in the NFL not in college you get like a week maybe anyways Mike variable is not

An option let’s keep it moving so that’s what we’re talking about today replacement for our fry guy uh we need somebody on the fries that cannot burn them all the time um again Cotton Bowl was disgusting I don’t know if that was just disciplinary on Carson hensman but

Seemed like a horrible plan and it worked out horribly so let’s talk about Fry’s resume here real quick uh in case you forgot uh Ryan day and and Justin fry go back a while they were on the same staff at Temple in 2012 and then they went with uh Steve adio to Boston

College in 2013 and 2014 so they worked under they both worked together for a few years they’re in a row under Ado’s tutelage um then fry his first season uh with UCLA uh what was that like 2018 or some I don’t know doesn’t matter uh in

His first season though they went from 113 yards rushing per game up to 154.32 uh they went up to 230 yards per game uh and then fry was named the offensive coordinator following the 2018 season you know Ryan Day hired uh Justin fry in January 2022 so it’s only been uh

Two years he is the fourth highest paid offensive line coach at just over a mill for year um let’s talk about some Rising Stars though some some options here um Nick Cardwell uh Cincinnati offensive line coach uh made the move with Scott saterfield from Louisville to Cincinnati

Right across the river um and uh worked under sat field uh 2022 2023 I believe and yeah at Louisville Caldwell produced two all ACC offensive line and they ranked number two in in the conference in rushing offense in 2022 um prior to that he worked uh two years at

App State that was his Alma modder where he played uh his 2021 offensive line group was a semi-finalist for the Joe Moore award respect and uh three of the 2021 o lineman received all conference honors um a quote from one of his his co-workers his his coaches uh says quote

He’s so driven he’s real conscientious about coaching those guys and how he prepares those guys on a daily basis he’s a Relentless recruiter just the total package and you know recruiting is priority one in college football next up Jim Harding this is an Ohio guy so I

Wanted to let the cat out of the bag there early he’s Utah’s offensive line coach he’s been at Utah since 2014 he was one of the top o line coaches in the country uh he has two first Team all Pack 12 offensive linemen in 2022 uh in total he’s now produced eight

First team All Conference since 2026 six of his Utah offensive linemen have been drafted so this guy is cranking him out and developing um he’s also an excellent recruiter he landed two top 100 recruits in Utah’s 2023 class uh he beat out schools like Oregon USC Stanford for

Class of 20 24 fourstar o liman Isaiah Garcia um Kyle Winningham Winningham said about uh about Harding last year he said quote Jim Harding as I’ve said many times is one of the best offensive line coaches in the country at any level that’s those are big words um I think we

All respect Kyle winam um and and his coaching style uh as a player uh Harding was a fouryear starting old lineman at Toledo University of Toledo rocket uh he was first team all conference and a team captain as a senior in 2000 for the rockets and they finished 10 and one

Ranked in the top 25 which is a big deal for the Rockets um go Falcons Eden uh next up Scott Huff Washington’s offensive line coach uh he’s been at Washington since 2017 he worked under the last three coaches Chris Peterson Jimmy Lake and now kayin dor uh under

Huff the huskys have had seven First Team all Pack 12 o line selections and his um o line only allowed seven sacks in 2022 second lowest in all of college football uh 20 they were 25th ranked rushing offense and 2023 they were the Joe Moore Award winner so another

Another solid choice not sure he’s going to leave Washington unless he’s got a Hu huge paycheck involved uh next up aan nagavi he’s a Houston’s o line coach in 2022 with t Lane he helped the Green Wave improve their rankings from 74th to 12th nationally in rushing touchdowns and 73rd to 19th scoring

Offense uh under nagavi three two-lane offensive linemen were all AAC and including two first team selections before that he worked at Georgia State where he coached two allconference Lin and as a player he was a three-time allconference offensive lineman at M MCN State State uh Dana hogerson hogerson said

About uh hiring neavei quote uh he was a tremend he has tremendous knowledge of the game from more than 10 years of experience he’s a Houston area guy former team captain state champion at KD high school who has been successful everywhere he’s been uh when you look at

What Tain did offensively front last year they were extremely disciplined and effective so uh big big uh uh pat on the back there from hogerson uh last guy I wanted to bring up is Phil troutwine um Penn State o line coach he was a two-time all SEC tackle under Urban

Meyer at Florida uh he’s now the leader of the nation’s one of the Nations best offensive line units um all five of Penn State starting o line in 2022 earned all big 10 Awards all five yeah including Olu fashanu and Juice Scruggs um under trout wi scrubs developed into a second

Round NFL draft pick Fano will be trout wi’s next early round pick as he enters the season with um or he uh has a legitimate chance of being a top 10 top 10 pick in this year’s draft so uh some good options out there obviously uh the

Paycheck should not be an issue for the Buckeyes um you know we’ll see what happens um the word is that uh Ryan day is hiring an OC and that OC is going to have licensed to fire everyone on the offensive staff so Joseph fry might be under the gun
