Let me go through it with you to show you how I get the tilt correct on the body from a side bend perspective and I’ll do it on a forward bend as well And once your clubs fit you it all comes down to the side bend Is when I get into the side bend and we’ve taught this many times at schools where we just tilt and our hands we let our hand come down to about our knee So you’ll see that I’m getting a side bend to the body And then I put the arm into its range of motion and then I grip the club And you can notice that the tilt comes before I put that left arm on the club So it’s a tilt of the body a left arm position and then I put the hand on the golf club And notice that the back of the hand can now face the target and face the club face very easily A lot of people who try to grip the club this way they’ll sit there and go okay I’m gripping the club And they set up and the face will be open

The side Bend and we’ve taught this many times at schools where we just tilt and our hands we let our hand come down to about our knee so you’ll see that I’m getting a side Bend of the body and then I put the arm into its range of motion

And then I grip the club and you can notice that the Tilt comes before I put that left arm on the club so it’s it’s a tilt of the body a left arm position and then I put the hand on the golf club and notice that the back of the hand can now

Face the Target and face the club face very easily a lot of people who try to grip the club this way they’ll sit there and go okay I’m gripping the club and they set up and the face will be open

  1. Very interesting how the left arm can be set up as to not allow the left hand to turn past square; something I was not aware of. Bryson J Aldrich DeChambeau talked about left arm position and rotation in one of his videos but did not explain it.
