This is what I learned from playing with Tiger Woods we were playing a Southern California Junior Golf Tournament I’m 3 years older than him so I was 17 and he was 14 and all day long I’m watching him he’s Landing the ball at the hole and

He’s spinning it back 25 ft Landing it at the hole and spinning it back 25 ft well we’re on the 16th hole I’m even par and he’s one overpar and I’m thinking man if he just flew it past the hole it’d be better he could have shorter

Putts and so I tell him I say you know all day long you’ve been Landing the ball at the hole and you spin it back 25 ft why don’t you land it 25 ft past the hole and spin it back to the hole he says cuz I want an uphill putt I thought

About it you know at that point in my golf career I just wanted to be close to the hole so we go to the 17th hole it’s a little par three downhill and i stuff it but I’m 4 feet above the hole he lands it at the hole spins it back 25 ft

He makes the birdie putt to go even par I three putt to go one overpar he ends up birding 18 and goes into a playoff for the tournament and I finish at one over par par well I remember walking off the 17th green and thinking to myself

You know what I want an uphill putt too so if if you’re playing golf it’s very important that you understand the difference between a good golfer and a great golfer is the understanding of how to strategize on the course well one of the most important things that you have

To do when you’re playing no matter what your skill level is is you got to try to leave yourself uphill putts and Uphill shots if you do you’ll find that you’ll make more birdies and pars and you’ll find that the shots that you leave yourself are easier which will start to

Boost your confidence and allow you to play this game better

  1. I am envious of your golfing ability and how you get to earn a living. And now I have to be envious that you got to play with Tiger.
