ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

This golf lesson provides a couple of wonderful drills to help you hit your driver straight. If you are a beginner golfer and are looking for some golf driver tips that are simple and easy to do then you are going to love this.

I will show you the golf swing slow motion so that you can see what you need to do to improve.

We look at 3 things:

1. How to stop slicing your driver
2. How to swing more in to out or how to swing more inside out
3, How to get the correct impact position with driver

and I hope to do all this with simple golf tips so you can create an effortless golf swing

  1. Great video Danny. Just one question, when you 'turn the steering wheel' to change to an in to out path, do you change the grip on the club so it's in a more closed position or just leave the club face so it's more slightly open?

  2. Hi Danny, another brilliant video…again. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Btw what are you wearing? Is it your own brand?

  3. Love the visual connections which simplify everything. Easy to see and easy to remember providing a consistent setup every time.

  4. Just curious Danny. Is this guy fully left handed, or, like me, right hand dominant but plays golf left handed? Great to see this though. Something I was working on this week, and it really does work. Thanks again.

  5. I wish I saw this video before I went to the range yesterday!! lol! I’m a lefty as well, and my shots were doing exactly how his were in the beginning – slicing to left and pulling to the right. I had a few that would draw, but I couldn’t repeat it. I’ll try this when I get a chance to go out again…

  6. Great lesson as always Danny but you cured me with the video last week, drawing the path with the club, been absolutely so straight with driver since then 👍

  7. Just before Thanksgiving, my driver went crazy. What used to be a laser straight or slight draw is now an ugly hook. I have enjoyed mostly great drives all year but now I'm all out of sorts. I keep trying to emulate what WAS working (relax, rotate, swing easy and set my swing path like your blue disc graphic) but I just haven't been successful yet. But when I switch to 3 wood from the tee box I hit just fine. Same swing, or so I think. Last Thursday I accidentally smashed the 3 wood 301 yards – but right now I can't get my driver past 200 yards into the left out of bounds. I'll keep trying though.

  8. Lovely image and “trick” to take onto the course. Where was this lesson Danny? Used to live in uae and don’t recognize it.

  9. Great to see you correct someone who is slicing (like me) and is a lefty like I am. I say this because watching you work with someone who needs to correct a swing or how they hold a club is more informative than having instructions on what to do. Seeing growth from instruction provides the incentive to work on it. Thank you for a great video, now a lot of practice changing the circle that causes me to go across the ball.

  10. Danny can we get a live lesson of someone just getting started (as opposed to fixing technique)?
Like a complete guide for a swing

  11. This was the secret that finally fixed my Driver. I must have hit 10,000 balls trying to figure out why I was inconsistent, this was the key.

  12. I've been fighting a slice for years . I think I've got sorted now watching your videos you make it easy to take in and never over complicate lessons. Cheers. If you can do anything for arthritis I'd be very grateful 😅

  13. Watched this video this morning before a round .
On the 6th hile of my local course and I'm bombing it .
I was in the exact same position as Tom.

Tweaked my shoulders and I'm nutting it 😂

  14. Hi Danny, great video, nice and short and strait to the point. However….I have been incorporating this, and getting some positive attack angles, yet my distance is still only around 200 yards. How can you increase club head speed, without jeopardising club path and attack angle?

  15. Love the blue arch graphics. It's a great visual aid for me. All the numbers are good feedback, but the graphics do more for me. Excellent

  16. Hey Danny. So after this, if your angle of attack is still slightly down, could you move the position of the ball from inside the heel to middle of your toes? Or is that just crazy to try? Thanks for the great vid and lesson 👍🏼

  17. Hi Danny, totally understand this, but I’ve a simple question for you, with the driver, should my hands be level with the ball or slightly behind the ball? For years I’ve always had it probably 4 or 5 inches behind, but keep getting told that it should be level. Thanks. Melissa

  18. Was it just me (paused @2:22 while youre back in studio) or was his(Tom i think was his name) stance a bit narrow for driver also ? Just for my own knowledge . Or is it just a quirk of his personal swing . I watch( to )many lesson videos and am sure most say to be shoulder width +/- with feet for best balance .he seemed to be setup for mid iron to wedge

  19. Surely it can’t b this simple?! I’ll try it next time I’m at the course 🤔 wud LOVE to just hit fairways instead of bushes 🙈
Loved the lesson but here’s my tip for u….pink ain’t the colour to wear in that climate 😜

  20. Sorry Danny can’t stand watching a lefty swing and then try to reverse the swing ti RH. MAYBE USE A MIRROR to show both LH and RH at the same time 🤷‍♂

  21. Just a bit less of marketing. We both know this lad wont make +90 yard longer drives because its so easy, like a steering wheel😅

  22. How about using a real amateur. This guy was not a real amateur. Just look how he controls where the ball goes. The lesson was germane but don’t believe this guy was a real student.

  23. Hi Daniel, another great video which i tried today. It didn't quite work for myself, but has made me realise my main problem. Im right handed, but my left hand is very dominant in my swing causing all the problems. On take away it rolls, opening the face and on downswing i pull the handle past my left hip. I can slowly swing concentrating on my right hand and all is good. My question is : do you have a drill or grip that promotes right hand dominance? Many thanks Matt.

  24. Tried this today on 4 or 5 holes, it was unbelievably effective. I aimed my shoulders/swing plane in the direction I wanted the ball to shape (away from danger). I hit every shot how I wanted and even mishits had narrow dispersion. Pared the last 3 holes easily. Great for controlling ball shaping and increased commitment to the shot.
