Burn Variation of the French Defence

The Burn Variation with 4…dxe4 is arguably the best way of meeting the move 4.Bg5 in the Classical Variation of the French Defence, played on many occasions by top players such as Morozevich, Vitiugov or Short.
By taking the pawn on e4, Black forces the knight to e4 in order to try and exchange it in the future – or force White to lose some time by moving that piece. Furthermore, since the bishop is on g5, Black also aims to profit from it by trying to exchange this pieces as well!

In this video, we will take a deep look into this variation (as well as some very common deviations) and check some of the most common ideas, variations, and themes that characterize this variation (for both colours).

I really hope you will enjoy it!
