4:04 foreman ties him up and starts talking to the referee. You can tell that this version of foreman really hated punishing his opponent, and wanted the ref to protect him. Pierre made a good account of himself and seems tough as nails but he was taking the beating of his life.
Just think, Ali beat Foreman 20 years before this. Watching this fight, you can't help but wonder how good Foreman was in the 70s? Then, how good was Ali?
Every time I see big George hitting guys I have the same grimace on my face as when I watch an alligator grab a gazelle at the watering hole. It’s like ‘ooh that’s baaad’
Foreman's jab and defense are underrated. In this fight he utilized the same framing/wrestling defense he used to do in his young days, but did very well against an active Coetzer, and started to hurt him out of his left jab.
About Coetzer, I can't say anything negative. A great display of courage and determination, but the referee should have stopped the fight much earlier. Pierre endured an inhuman amount of damage there.
3:53 George show mercy and didnt send his killer right croos . Pierre is a lucky guy to meet George of 90's, in 70's he will damage his brain forever if he get the same open target

Ref should've stopped it much, much earlier. Coetzer was clearly outclassed. Refs have a duty to protect the fighters.

George never got the credit he deserved for his jab. He was accurate with it and it was pulverizing.

Pierre was damn tough.

Mike Tyson was like getting kicked by a mule. Big George was like getting hit by a train.
You have to respect Coetzee for his courage in this fight. He took a beating but fought through the pain like a warrior. There was no quit in him.
George hurts you by blocking your punches
Foreman could not only hit, he could shrug off bombs in return

How many brave individuals had that sense of foreboding before the bell rang against Big George…
Man, could he punch!!!!
Painful to watch!
Pierre was a hell of a game and very good fighter. George Foreman was an immovable statue with knockout power in his jab.
George has some serious stuff on his jab!
That was a beating. Fan of George but that should’ve been stopped earlier.
