This is the best iron of 2023… and they are completely unexpected!

  1. Bob Parson ‘PXG’ owner hunted and killed an elephant. His golf club brand could make me a scratch golfer overnight and I’d still say no.

  2. You mentioned the finish on PXG clubs. The main reason I have never tried PXG clubs is because of the finish. The silver looks like plastic to my eyes. It makes me think of them as toy golf clubs, so I don't take them seriously. However, just today at the range, I did see a guy hitting PXG irons with a black finish, and those clubs looked pretty good. If I didn't already have my heart set on new Titleist clubs, I would consider the PXG black finish irons.

  3. I got fitted for some blades that have 5 interchangeable weights that I'd love for you to try.

Only issue is they are what I would describe as boutique. They're made by a golf fitter/coach here in Vancouver and he does them in relatively small batches.

I'm a 14 handicap and reading that you would immediately scream/laugh that I have no right playing a blade, but he fit them and the shaft and grip (as in thickness) to me and it took my game to a whole other level. When the swing is on point, it's just aim and shoot and the forgiveness is wild (not game improvement iron forgiveness but forgiving for a blade)

  4. I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder but in the bag a full set of these would look like a bucket of nuts and bolts. This is just a personal opinion but pretty hard to go past Mizunos and TaylorMades for me. 👍🏻🇦🇺

  5. Ugliest irons on the market. It’s hard to say I wouldn’t own a club just because of looks but in this case I’ll make an exception…😂😂😂

  6. I totally get that these irons work well for people, but for me personally I just can't get past the PXG styling and the overall marketing around their clubs. Love the look of the new T200s though.

  7. Pete would love to see you review Haywood again. They've added to their lineup and curious to see what you think.

  8. I got fitted for them the week they came out. They look great and feel better. I can control the spin on the greens as well. But Peter, you are spot on with the little dings on the sole from bumping in the bag. I noticed some after round 2 and I’m very careful with them. Still great clubs though!
