  1. Another week, another Chargers loss. Can we please get rid of Staley? Before he took over the team the Bolts finished in the top ten in yards and points for four straight years. To say the D has regressed would be putting it nicely.

  2. Herbert has elite measurables. A rocket arm and is tall but the mentals do not add up or match his physical gifts in big games/big moments. He leads the NFL in 4th quarter interceptions with 14 since 2020 and it's not like he's been deprived of weapons with Keenan Allen, Austin Ekeler and Mike Williams and one thing I hold against Herbert is he shows zero energy or enthusiasm for a QB that is the leader of his team. You see Mahomes, Burrow, Allen and others hyped up and bringing energy for their teams to get juices flowing and Herbert shows little to no enthusiasm, fire and emotion. Herbert is far from the Chargers biggest issue but for the money he makes he should be able to be more a solution solver in these one score games like Mahomes for years overcame bottom 10 defenses and Burrow has overcome subpar to flat out bad offensive line play. This is why Herbert is a tier 2 top 6-10 QB because of his physical gifts but their is more that needs to be done to be in the elite of the elite top 5 room

  3. "Who says no to Cousins for Purdy"..? Um, the Vikings, Nick! Right now Minnesota could get a late 1st, or a couple of 2nds for Kirk. They aren't trading him for Mr. Irrelevant. Cousins likes it Minnesota. He's a family man. Ntm, Justin Jefferson likes Kirk. And the Vikings need to keep JJ happy so he will agree to a new contract.

  4. "How was the play other than that, Ms. Lincoln?" lmaoooo Nick, from one KC resident to another, good one. Go Chiefs

  5. You’d think Nick would side with underdogs like Purdy seeing as he has a face for radio, a whiny voice and no experience in pro sports at all yet still making it on TV as a highly paid ‘analyst’. America really is the land of opportunity

  6. I remember when The Herd was my favorite sports talk and Nick would frequently come on as a guest and I always enjoyed his takes and charisma. Here we are today where First Things First is by far and away my favorite sports radio and I think many others would agree. The way these three combine to make this sort of perfect atmosphere of knowledgeable and fun is something you have to admire. I hope this show sticks around for a long long time…
