14:49 – The second Chelios pulled Eric Lindros down Canada should have abandoned game 2 and went straight to the alley. USA was winning the game and the physical game because Canada was taking it and focusing on scoring. They should have accepted it was going to game 3 and sent a message. The US was tough but man for man Canada would have beat the shit out of them. That should have been the plan. Instead of going balls to the wall right there they tried to come back and died a slow death. Bad coaching from a goof who shouldn't have been coaching the team.

After the league added these lines the refs took it as a personal shot and stood there enforcing every toenail that crossed those lines. They made faceoffs insufferable.

Hockey at its all-time best. Checking still existed and the speed was there.
John LeClair is a HoF in my book. He's very underrated, holistically. Even on this US team of stars, he is the cream.
