  1. What’s the purpose of par 3 of such lengths? Where’s the fun in this? Is the desire to destroy the game or to grow the game?

  2. A grotesque distortion of the game – these par 3's. How about poison ivy bunkers, wasp nests and wild animals. I've played the game well over 60 years and this is an abomination – getting close to "gladiator coliseum golf". Golf is going the route of professional wrestling. Next they'll put steroids in the golf balls – maybe they have already. I'm glad that LIV won over the PGA. Maybe the best thing that could happen to the future of our great game/sport.

  3. Love the par 3's here…. a super short one and a couple of killer long ones. All fantastic holes and I cant wait to see the guys go into battle with them. I am sick of watching these guys destroy par 3's with wedges and short irons… let them hit long irons and rescues like I have to do at times…. sometimes 4 is OK on these holes.

  4. Lionel Richie says Davis Love III could par these. Love will find a way.

  5. 0:20 It’s a gorgeous view? This might be a really interesting strategic course but let’s not pretend it’s great looking.

  6. Can’t believe I’m saying this…but it’s going to take a lot to beat the excitement of last weeks Canadian open, and the fun of that 14th hole.

  7. the usga can call this a par 70 but with par threes approaching 300 yards its actually a par 73. once again par is anything you want it to be

  8. Nasty par 3 holes. The ball is either hit on the green or it is in big trouble. I can see some big numbers coming.

  9. Yeah….no thx…….California = hollyweird kid diddlers…u know like the LIV league 😅

  10. One of my best golf memories was a shank off the tee into Barbara Streisand's house-yep! The rough is no joke on the North course.

  11. I don’t know how many times I’ve heard Berranca the last couple of days. First time hearing it since they started covering the course

  12. For everyone complaining about long par 3's who cares. Literally every player has to play the same holes so what does it matter?? Its not like they are 10-30 handicap players or on the senior tour

  13. For me, that's typical for idiot US golf. Par 3 holes with 290 aren't a joke but not good designed. The Par 3s in Augusta 12 and 16 show all how's good ones have to be! Not the distance counts, the angle from the tee, bunkers, water and how the pin is overall protected. On this course in LA they need 239/260/279/ long par 3 holes to show the world that USA is the best country of these world. For me as a old man but good golfer this holes are not playable in 3. It's a full 3 wood or maybe driver – bur with such clubs and the less spin they give a ball it's not possible attacking a pin. Rolling the ball to the aim on a Par 3 is no option, that's for me a no go.

  14. POS golf course, has nothing to do with So Cal. Bermuda and bentgrass can you imagine the $$$ they spend just keeping out the invasive Poa

  15. How could they choose this course? It's horrible. Claustrophobic, big fairways, huge greens, views are HORRIBLE! no challenge , I could go on and on….these guys are way too good for this place.
