The Open fans/crowds are renowned for being the most respectful & fair of all. I gotta say Open they most certainly weren’t. Shouting stupid things as players were hitting their shots (spicy meatballs! Mash potatoes!), all adopted from the Americans. And the disrespect to Harman calling & shouting Ricky Ponting just because he looks a little bit like him.

Worst hoylake open in modern times, yes been to the last 3 at hoylake so qualified to comment , this one was boring and poorly managed and very expensive , , nothing happened from Friday , that 17th hole was a joke to dig it up and return it to the members flies in the face of the nature slogan and quite insulting . The on course Marshalls we’re bullies ex school headmasters were abnoxious on every hole i visited , treating every member of the public as a terrorist , the bus drivers simply on a tea break every 15 mins, arguing about overtime , , even the caterer staff said they were bored 🥱, and fed up , it’s was a Poor event from start to finish a waste of money better watching Netflix at 10.99 monthly subscription . Been to 30 opens , so I’m qualified to speak on this , hope it’s hoylake last . Poor event and value for money I will avoid Troon . Roll on birkdale . Rip hoylake, the liv lot will own the fossils at St Andrews who run this tired event bye the time it returns to St Andrews , so Saudi beckons for an open, at hoylake expense , they can disrupt and deliver a better event than this rubbish this weekend really poor event, then Saudi takeover Wimbledon will be next. Harman has nice physical proportions for a golfer, it seems. Very balanced, and he keeps it simple.
He reminds me of Mike Weir, another short lefty who won a major (Masters in 2003).
