All of Tyson's 6 official championship fights have been against top 10 ranked opponents. Since Ngannou isn't for the belt, then Usyk would make it 7. That's Klitschko, Wilder (3 times), Whyte, Chisora and then Usyk. All of whom are/were at least firmly top 10 when he faught them. If that had been any other champion we wouldn't be saying he only has easy fights. Honestly, what are people going to say if, come January, Tyson Fury is 35 – 0 – 1 (26KOs), Undefeated, Undisputed Heavyweight Champion.
Arguably in the 9th year of his reign as Lineal Champion which he would of plausibly defended 11 times?!!! Come 2024 Fury could possibly be a couple of names away from being considered one of the greatest of all-time (i.e. AJ, Ruiz, Zhang etc). No way anybody's disputing his greatness if he get's through the Usyk fight. It's on now, so regardless of money he's taken the fight. You'll be forced to eat your words if he beats Usyk, and as a supporter of British Boxing i absolutely hope he does!
Usyk has played a blinder, he made himself look worse against Dubois to entice Fury. But when Usyk turns up against Fury, you wait and see, he will be even better than against AJ. Usyk will do absolutely everything to win, his will is way above Fury.
Does anyone think that Fury has accepted to fight Usyk just to keep him tied up and he will find ways to delay and delay? Then fight Usyk months later…

To ordinary people that watch boxing, 10 million, 100 million what's the difference, fury has a poor mans mentality feeling the need to boast about how much he earns, nobody cares, the only thing that is important is the boxing and that's the only way fury will get his respect back amongst the fans.

Fury has defended his title more than usyk. Both have been terrible champs. Furys legit defenses are against wilder and whyte. He cherry picked chisora. Usyk only defended twice against AJ, which was legit and dubois. A dude who just walked into the interim and had quit in 2 of his last 4 prior fights. Dubois took 3 knees in one round against a nobody to win the interim. Filip should have been the opponent. However, dubois was mandatory so it was a legit defense. Fury is about to take his fourth fight with francis, since becoming champ. Its not a defense, its also a disgrace to the sport. If they do fight, they both will be redeemed somewhat. Usyk fighting every 14 months and fury fighting two people who have no chance. I think they are both greedy, usyk has priced himself out multiple times and most recently against joyce. Usyk has the cult of AJ backing him so he does not get the push back fury does. I think fury destroys usyk with absolute ease and then continues to embarrass the division by his antics until he retires. Ultimately, I would like to see zhang as a champ. Hopefully he gets a go at it.
