   Come on Yorky… You guys would be dissecting it if the Senators lost… Senators are undefeated… and Toronto hasn't won a game all year… Let the fans enjoy it! Sanderson Chychrun would be my first power-play defenseman. Chabot on the second with Branny. Chabot is too predictable imo and rarely a threat shoot. I'd like to see him on the PK practising defence! Really hope their bottom six looks a lot different this year. McEwan was awful. Like really bad. I know it's just preseason but damn not a good first impression. Liability out there

   The Sens will have 8 20+G players and 5 30+G players this season (obviously the 5 30+G players are also part of the 20+G players). Sanderson will be in talks about the Norris too. Forsberg looked really good for his first game back. Great show lads!! Go Sens Go!!

    The guy that has to go is Brannstrom. Nobody wants Joseph for that contract. Don’t give up that 1st round pick. Would be highway robbery

    If the Sens needed to add a 2nd round pick as a sweetener in order to move Joseph that would mean that Dorion gave away Nick Paul and Connor Brown for nothing in return. All the other GMs in the league know who they're dealing with so of course they're going to want a 1st.
    Dorion gave away a few picks to bring in a tiny, 2nd line LW who is poor defensively making 9 million dollars. Who in the world is going to pay a really tiny 2nd line LW who is poor defensively 9 million dollars? Chicago wanted no part of that nonsense and I'm pretty sure they felt like like they won the lottery when Dorion showed up. Thankfully the midget decided not to sign with Ottawa long term so the franchise dodged a bullet there.
    This year Dorion decided that locking up the ideal 3rd line C who can play up the lineup if needed, is good on the dot and has always played a responsible two way game except for last year when he was on a line with the afore mentioned defensive titan, DeBrincat, was of little or no importance. That genius decided that making a splash for one season with Tarasenko was the way to go. Sacrifice a long term mainstay of the team for a 1 year shiny bauble – that's the Dorion way.
    There's a lot more of course but I'll pause there.
    Why in the world would any new owner need to take any time at all before sending Dorion packing? How much more damage to the franchise do you need to see?
    Also Smith was just doing with Sanderson what he always did with Chabot and if Chabot and Chychrun were not in the mix this year Sanderson would play league leading minutes every game against the other teams' top lines and in a couple of years the sports talking heads would be talking about how Sanderson is not playing up to his potential and his 8 million dollar cap hit and how it might be time to move along from him.
    I'm predicting that Smith will not change his spots all of a sudden. He couldn't even if he wanted to because he doesn't know how. Maybe the talking heads need to be criticizing Smith's ineptitude as a coach at the NHL level rather than trying to dump everything on Chabot. Or maybe those talking heads would rather make sure that they have safe access to management and the players?

    Matinpalo, Sokolov, and Smejkal wtood out for me for the bubble guys I agree with the Kelly take but he always seemed a step behind too late on the forecheck to make the hit he back tracked hard theres no question hes a hard worker but not sure the footspeed is there to make him an effective crash and bang PKer like they want I think theres better options

    Sorry Yorkie, I'm not a "Parker Smelly" fan and would prefer to see anyone else in the lineup. He's a hard worker yes, and he should be thankful that hes played any NHL games (not an NHL player).
