www.adidas.ca/golf is where this Rockstar guest calls home. Having spent her entire career in the Golf Business, Lesley Hawkins has risen to be one of the biggest influencers in golf not only in Canada but across the Globe.

In this chat we dive into how Adidas got it’s name, the impact of the social media ambassadors in this day, a shoe that can be 100% recycled into something else, and how this time of uncertainty has given way to amazing moments of connection.

Adidas is a special company. Their 3 C’s are a testament of it’s goal to continue to evolve and adapt. Or as Lesley states, “PIVOT”.

1. CONFIDENCE allows athletes to make quick decisions on the field, to reach higher. For us at adidas confidence means acknowledging that we don’t have all the answers. But we are willing to take risks, we try new things. And if we fail, then this is part of our learning – it helps us improve.

2. COLLABORATION. Every elite athlete relies on partners: coaches, teammates, and nutritionists. We, too, know that we are stronger together. Winning as one team takes open and candid dialogue, inclusiveness and trust in each other’s abilities and talents.

3. CREATIVITY. No great athlete succeeds by copying their predecessors’ training plans and strategies. We have to be open to new ideas, explore, gain an edge and stand out. Only then can we succeed.
