Where have you been? Just browse social media and you’ll find a ton of Purdy hate. Unwarranted for sure, but it’s there!

uhh maybe no doubt by you but every national outlet has talked about the "inevitable regression" from Brock Purdy. There are loads of haters who think Brock is just a system qb and is nothing special. That is the concusses everywhere outside of san fran. Less now, and less next week and so on, but to act like everyone has been all in on Purdy is just ignorant.
Brock Purdy is better than Kirk Cousins IMO.
We don't have it all, but we have a lot. We need a better offensive line for both pass protection but more for run blocking. Also our secondary is better than average, but it could also be a bit better. But thanks for the praise, it feels good as a long time die hard Niners fan. As a Seattle fan, I don't want Purdy to succeed, but the reality he seems like he can handle almost any situation thrown at him in games. And he doesn't shrink in prime time like Cousins often does. It absolutely baffles me that every NFL team overlooked him in the draft last year.

There are some local reporters, and a few in the media that have been expressing doubts about Brock no matter what he has done. There are some serious Brock doubters, I am not among them, but I have seen it with my own eyes, I just don't want to throw stones, but Bosa wasn't inaccurate. I get the Kirk Cousins comparisons but Brock Purdy in this stage of his career has already shown great pocket presence, great accuracy, ability to read defenses and has that X factor of being calm under pressure.

I knew Purdy was going to be really good when I first saw him play in the 2022 preseason. Two things stood out 1 he was willing to take chances and 2 he seemed to learn quickly from his mistakes. Trey Lance lacked the first. Jimmy lacked the latter.

There is absolutely Purdy hate. Not just by fans but sports personalities as well. “He’s gonna fall back to reality” “teams have tape on him now”. The reality is that they can’t get past him being a 7th round pick. He’s not supposed to be able to succeed in their eyes. But if he were a first round luck playing the same way putting up the same number they would be calling him the next Marino. How about we move past the 7th round pick perception and just start looking at him as the STARTING qb for the San Francisco 49ers.
There are alot of people still hating on Purdy. He is stigmatised because of his draft position and people have a large unconscious biased about being wrong or not wanting someone else to succeed. He is changing minds one W at a time.
These guys still don’t get it, Purdy is a playmaker. He has escapability and improvisation. Cousins does NOT have those abilities.
Purdy will never line up under a guard for the snap like he did facing SF, or fold like a lawn chair simply out of fear.
