  1. Never was selected for a tester from MGS, but I'm glad I know someone who is!! This is a great informative video. Just like the rest. Maybe I can add one more to my collection. 😂

  2. Play with a 82 year old that has a 1960’s era Anser. He never three putts. He can take anyone’s putter and do that.

  3. I appreciate the content and the tech that LAB thinks is the key but, like another user here, I am never going to pay $400+ for a putter even if I had unlimited funds. IMO, the putter was perfected by Ping with the Anser and it has never been equalled. When I lost my 50 year old Anser a year ago I found an identical model on a site in UK for £34.99 plus shipping. 😁

  4. 2 of my golf buddies have this exact same putter. I tried it over the weekend and really liked it. I loved the auto-forward press that is built in to it and how the center shaft is off of the face. My wilson and Odyssey center shafted putters are right on top of the face of the putter… I did like this putter overall, but the price point is REALLY out of my budget. I can't see spending that much on a putter….

  5. about 5 years ago i bought the DF 2.1 (The "Branding Iron") since then, I have bought about 15 putters to try and kick that ugly putter out of my bag. Guess what? its still there. it works.

  6. Hellooo McGolf! Question, can you hot-melt a PXG 0211z driver? I like the driver, but can’t deal with the tin can sound.

  7. I had a branding iron (DF) with a stability shaft for a bit, great putter from within 10 feet but I just couldn't get the pace right on lag puts… Ended up going back to a more traditional blade style putter that for some reason I just feel better about on the longer putts.

  8. Very cool content Jim. Two questions: Will this putter get a coveted spot in your bag and what brand shorts do you wear? Cheers.

  9. I pulled the trigger on a Mez and have grown to really like it. It’s a different feel so there is an adjustment period. A much ligter grip has worked well for me…let’s the anti-torque engineering work it’s magic. I’m putting better inside 8’ and my lag has been terrific as well.

  10. Watching Adam Scott put with the broomstick mezz seems in theory like an easy way to putt. Hopefully someone is testing that method for my golf spy

  11. Just purchased my max about a month ago. It did take me a bit to get use to a center shaft putter, but the feel is amazing. I’m not a robot, so I don’t always hit the center of the face. That being said, off center putts are so much more forgiving than my Scotty is. Maybe it’s the new putter good vibes, but I have a feeling it is going to be staying with n my golf bag for a long time.

  12. I have the Mezz Max putter…. I have really decreased my back stroke to further keep the putter face square to the target , and accelerate through the hitting zone as needed to deal with the various putt lengths. Really blessed to have this putter, and let it do the work for me. It has boosted my confidence, which in turn has aided my results. Bad basics (stance etc. ) still result in predictable results however.

  13. It’s a gimmick. I sunk as many putts by blading my 60° lob wedge from 3, 6 and 10 feet. Putting is a simple 3 phase thing. Speed, direction and a pendulum swing. I’m an 8 hc btw. I often 2 foot putt with a wedge after a green side chip. Im not a great putter. But I rarely 3 putt. Don’t watch your ball roll into the whole. Just look down and one ball width in front of the ball. Follow through like you want to hit the flag with your putter.

  14. i have the Mezz Max 47" broomstick putter & have been putting pretty good with it. i love my Evnroll but like all putters it was given a timeout in favor of the Mezz Maxx. Deadly on short putts & out to 10 feet but longer lag putting takes some practice. Easier on my back & way easier to line up to my target as I can stand behind the putter to see the line I think is correct. It's not a gimmick, just another option to consider. It is expensive which is probably it's biggest drawback but I believe the technology is for real.
