Is The COSTCO KIRKLAND Golf Ball A WASTE OF MONEY?

Is The COSTCO KIRKLAND Golf Ball SILL WORTH Buying in 2023?

  1. It's simple economics. Kirkland signature plus are 39.99$ US for 2 dozen balls. The Vice pro is 47.99$ US for 2 dozen balls. Two very good quality 3 piece golf balls for roughly half to less than half the price of a pro V1. It's kinda a no brainer.

  2. Their at the front of the store in the UK because those are the old version. North America is onto the new version of the Costco ball which there are many new reviews comparing the old version to new version that came out 2-3 month ago here.

  3. The Kirkland ball lasts about 3 rounds for me if I don’t lose it that is so they are perfect for me I’ve been using them for 2 years now. 👍.

  4. A budget urethane 3piece is still cheaper than the TM RBZ for 24balls. No brainer end of day. Could you do a video of the Wilson Deep Red as that’d be more comparable price wise.

  5. I’ve been using the Kirkland for a few years now, but recently changed to the Taylormade tour response strip due to the alignment as the Kirkland is lacking in that department also there both eurothene cover

  6. There is nothing wrong with the kirkland balls. So much shade being thrown. I bet 100% of ppl watching this channel are NOT playing for mlions of dollars and are nor sponsored so not getting their equipment for free. I am a 8 handicap and can shoot the smae scores with kirkland i can eith a TP5 or Pro V1 and to i dont use them u less i win them for free. I game Snell Balls, and lets also be honest the equipment or ball is not going ro improve your gane enough to make a diffeence.

  7. Unless you're a single digit (or better) handicapper, it doesn't matter what ball you're playing with.

  8. I can’t believe that you guys across the pond still have Verizon 2… over here in the states we have Verizon 3.

  9. I like the Kirkland but the longevity of it is poor ,I'm a mid handicap and with the wedges they cut up so quick 😢and after a few holes there a bit to cut up

  10. The new Kirkland came out a week or so ago and I think they are even better than the V2. Kirkland is my ball of choice.

  11. These are average balls at an average price. There are plenty of balls in this price range that perform as good or better than Kirkland. No deal here!

  12. I played the costco ball and the rbz. The costco is much better around the green for me since you get better spin. The rbz will last longer. So picking between the rbz and the kirkland i for sure would play the kirkland.

But that being said my issue i have with the kirkland is distance of the tee. This year I have played either chrome soft or tp5. The they have better distance and I have been testing this with a trackman several times. My average with the kirkland is about 10 yards shorter of the tee.
So now that I am a 11 hcp and can play with the same ball a few rounds i feel it is more worth buying tour balls. I can buy callaway chrome soft with 399 swedish kr per dussin (28.72£) here in sweden. So I rather get the extra yards and pay a little more.
But if I start loosing 4-6balls per round again i will play with the kirkland🤣🤣🤣

  13. The Costco balls were probably in the front of the store because they are wanting to clear out stock for their new ones.

  14. Kirkland are gaining a great reputation for Golf equipment. Apart from the ball, the wedges and putter are rated! Can’t wait to see the driver and irons! More than good enough for most players.

  15. I played the Kirkland ball and found it to be shorter than other balls.; The green side spin was great but I did not like the feel off the driver and found it to be shorter than my Srizon Z-star or Titelist AVX. It would be interesting to see your review of the new Kirkland ball. The review I have seen say the new ball is very different than the current model.

  16. Hi James . Never used a Kirkland ball , but have heard good things about them . I have purchased quite a few RBZ balls in my time. Only because I’m an average golfer who loses more than his fair share of balls. Then there’s the hassle of having a Costco account just to purchase the Kirkland, yet on the flip side even if I manage to keep a RBZ for an entire round it’s ready for the bin due to scruffs , etc. it just looks battered after 18 holes. My son has just purchased some Kirkland balls so may borrow a sleeve or two and see if the durability and feel is better than that of the RBZ . The jury is out for now and only time and a few swings will tell !

  17. Kirkland has really been on the up and coming in my eyes. I think the spin around the greens and just having a shot that will stop faster as well as durability is what would drive me to buy the Kirkland balls. Sure, price is a factor, but as we have been saying for a while now, Kirkland is THE BEST for its price. Another good choice (for the non Costco people) is the Callaway Hex soft golf ball. Nice and cheap as an amazon exclusive

  18. I play the Pro V1x. The Kirkland is close enough I will play it on holes with forced carry or water or other hazards. They are close enough and I don’t worry about when I lose one.

For those that say you are wasting money on the premium ball, the biggest drop in my scores over a short period of time was switching to the Pro V1x. Once you are past losing 3-4 balls a round it is time to upgrade the ball. The control on the approach and feel around the green is worth every penny. I guess the craziest thing is that the Kirkland ball is cheaper than most cheap balls at just over $1 per ball.

  19. James been using Kirkland balls for years cant beat them for a mid handicap player who looses a few balls on a bad day . But £1 .20 a ball happy days .

  20. In the us currently the rbz ball is $31 a dozen. I’d much rather have double the golf balls with the Kirkland for about the same price

  21. Does anybody play the very, very drinking game? Every time Jamess says very, very take a drink. Keep up the great work, James!!

  22. I am a 8 handicap player and have been playing the Kirkland ball for the last 3 years. This year I bought the version 3 ball and have been using it for the last 2 months. Being retired I play on average 5 to 6 times a week and the biggest difference between the V2 ball and the V3 ball is the durability of the cover. I can get 3 to 4 rounds out of the new version instead of maybe 2 with the older ball.

  23. The Costco ball spins a lot, from what I read– so it could be a bit of a problem into the wind. I might use it in a scramble for chip shots/bunker shots though.

  24. Bought CostCo balls at the start of the season. I usually play Srixon ZStar XV. But played with the Kirkland on Monday and Wednesday last week. Loved it! Great spin, good distance. However, not very durable. I'd happily keep using. Much cheaper than the ZStar! 😂

  25. I play public courses and usually under $40 a round. Kirkland balls are fine for my everyday rounds! If I am lucky enough to play a nicer course then I will put more expensive balls in play!
