Danny clearly crashed because the front left wheel locked up and the car went straight to the wall. He didn´t crash on purpose, he was just trying to slow the car and make the corner

Bro that's crazy he hit the soft cushioned wall very slow for a F1 crash and hurt his wrist but there have been much faster crashes with no injuries.

he braked hard once he realised the car was in the way which locked the wheels you can see the flat spots and as soon as he did that no steering straight into the wall

He was going about 110mph when Oscar became visible. He had PLENTY of time to go left or stop completely. If he firmly have the reaction time of a female. F1 cars stop on a dime. This is a bad accident and he knows it, it’ll stick with him for sure
