Love the podcast. Everyday listener now and a big Illini fan. I wanna get your thoughts on their roster and why I think it will be impossible for Brad to keep the locker room happy…Ive never seen a team with 8-9 players who are legitimately equal in talent/skill. Harris, Goode, Dain, Rodgers, Harmon, Quincy, Domask, and now the 2 freshman. All them are 20-25 minute caliber of players and most of them aren’t gonna touch that number…and some may not even touch the court. Love the overall talent of this team but you can only have 5 guys on the court at once. It will be another year of poor team chemistry

Watching Riley’s brain start to comprehend that he made a big time mistake trying to rationalize UNC being ok in the big ten football mix because he’s not scared of Wisconsin was awesome. Bucky is rb university and fickell has been on a recruiting tear since getting into town. Also carter telling Riley hes gonna miss his bigg thing shouldn’t have been funny but it was. Go green

Brock harding is legit!! he is from moline where we live. Watched him several times this year on Moline's state tourny championship team. Only reason he was a 3 star was due to his size. He's the real deal with mad skills…

Super conferences are a terrible idea. I get it is just for money but I agree with Greg on this one. They shouldn’t make the smaller sport athletes suffer with all the traveling just for football or basketball. Just man up and schedule those teams in the non-con.

Football is to blame for the realignment chaos. What should’ve happened was football separating from the NCAA and doing their own thing so we don’t have every other sport getting dragged along. Does anyone really care about a Rutgers vs USC lacrosse game? NO. It’s a massive waste of resources to fly these athletes around the country for non-revenue sports. Not to mention a middle finger to the environment
I saw Greg’s tweet about Purdue potentially being the best team in the nation if they are willing to plug Colvin and TKR into their primary lineup. Curious to see how you think the rest of their rotation shakes out. Lance Jones, Cam Heide, Furst, Gillis, Morton, Waddell, and Berg bring a lot of talent to the bench but only 3 or 4 of them realistically will see the floor in a big game.

How would you guys compare Fletcher Loyer and Jaden Akins? It seems like most people would say Akins easily, but I think it is a lot closer that people think. Akins was more efficient, and beat out Loyer in BPM and BPR from Torvik and Miya. But Loyer had more win shares and a better PRPG (Loyer also finished at the rim very similarly to Akins 50.8% vs 49.2%, had a better AST/TO ratio, while Loyer has more self created offense than Akins).

Thinking about MSU's title hopes this year … as obvious the C spot is the weakness, am I crazy believing it's not a huge issue? Tillman wasn't exactly an offensive monster, but Cassius and him ran that PnR at an elite level 10+ times a game putting a ton of pressure on the defense with their weapons. This years team feels around that elite skill level. Main flaw I see with that is a dominant center cooking them on the offensive end, but who really exposes that outside of Edey and Dickinson on T20 teams (honest question)? I'll hang up and listen.
