RIley Gaines Joins OUTKICK! Exclusive Interview With Sharron Davies On Her Fight For Women’s Sport

In the debut episode of the Gaines for Girls Podcast, Riley sits down with the amazing Sharron Davies, a three-time Olympian and author. They dive deep into her experiences as an athlete and her perspective on the issue of males competing in women’s sports. Sharron shares her journey, from her accomplishments in swimming to her advocacy for fair competition in women’s sports. Riley and Sharron also address the current issue of male advantage in women’s sports, which she believes is even worse than the East German era because it affects every sport at every level. She advocates for the protection of female athletes and the inclusion of an open and inclusive category in sports. Sharron emphasizes the importance of physical activity for mental health and asserts that females deserve equal opportunities. The Gaines for Girls Podcast is part of the Outkick Podcast Network – new episodes debut every Wednesday.

  1. 🏆Go Reily 👍🇮🇪 It's all being pushed by the WEF and WHO. I'd never heard of Christine Anderson until just recently but she's fighting against all this nonsense too. The lioness of Europe.

  2. This is a well deserved step for Riley and maybe the beginning of something for her. I certainly hope so. I DO wish they had titled it "Gaines on Sports" or somesuch rather than "Gaines for Girls" I just don't think that tile is well thought out.

  3. What happened to calling out the Williams sisters to support female sports? I thought you were going to call out many in women’s sports.

Why hasn’t Riley come out for the University of Kentucky women’s swim team forfeit any match against a team with a male transgender? If you agree to compete under those circumstances you are promoting males in female sports. The same for UK men’s basketball to forfeit any time the opponent school allows a male transgender on any women’s team. Something’s are more important than basketball.

Does Riley ever use the term trans woman? I haven’t heard her to say it but I haven’t watched much of her online. Trans women is a confusing and fraudulent term. Male transgender should be used for a male claiming to be transgender. I think most trans are not really transgender but are transvestite or an opportunist after fame or money like Dylan Mulvaney.

  4. What do you think of male hormones in the WNBA? It is obvious many use them. Just listen to Britney Griner.

  5. Yay Riley! Please remember that this is a non-partisan issue. It’s a women’s rights issue. I say this as a hard core feminist since like forever.

  6. Great job.
    Great interview.
    Lots of good information.
    Thank you!

  7. If Riley Gaines had obliterated Lia in competition, she would not be engaged in a full throttle, anti-trans crusade. Believe it!

  8. This is a good podcast. The point that the guest brought up about how much less sponsorship women's sports gets has little to do with mysogyny and everything to do with how much more money men's sports brings in.

  9. There is one female dominated sport – cheerleading. Since they are born female then female transgenders should not be allowed to be a male cheerleader. No female transgenders should enter a male cheerleader locker room.

  10. Most men agree with Riley and Sharon. We are not the enemy. We are on your side!
