  1. Birmingham have finished 17th or below 7 seasons in a row. They just might end that barren spell.

  2. Birmingham City have had some very dodgy owners, so it’s tough to put faith in anyone

  3. Great to see a change in ownership to long suffering Blues fans! Hope things lead to a brighter future.

  4. Spot on Ben. We finally have people running the club who are serious professionals – both in business and in football. The appointment of Blues fan Gary Cook (Nike, Man City, UFC) as CEO is also hugely significant. I could go on but suffice to say, two season ago I watched 43 Blues games (ST holder), home and away. Last season – 1 ½ games (yes I left at half time!) and today, I bought a Season Ticket again. I think that says it all.

  5. Great video as always, Ben. It has felt like a lifetime waiting for this moment. All I have wanted is the feeling of optimism, rather than doom and gloom, going into a new season. I don't expect things to all change overnight and it will be a long process. But I can't tell you just how good it is to feel like you have got your football club back again. Keep Right On 💙

  6. From a Wolves fan, I really hope this is the beginning of a resurgence for Blues and that we can get as many midlands teams as possible in the Premier League. Ours is a rich footballing region with historic clubs, and I hope we all take pride of place in the top flight soon. Even Albion, but don’t tell them I said that.

  7. Nice to hear a neutral comment. BCFC have an opportunity to improve but no right to succeed.Bluenoses have suffered greatly .and would relish a chance of success..TW might be the one…KRO

  8. As a Villa fan i'd love it if they got back to the prem so that we could literally SOTC every game.

  9. Happy for them! I think they can possibly be back in the top of the championship in a couple of years if all goes well

  10. birmingham a big historic club with massive fanbase, they deserve to be competing up there instead of giving a sigh of relief every time after another season not going down

  11. SMALL TIME ,SMALL HEATH..Knock the Sty down and let Aldi build a store, At least it will get more people through the doors..UTV!

  12. Bluenose here, great summary, thank you. The key to this change is the stability it will hopefully bring. TW emphasized that the framework needs to be established. Better infrastructure, training facilities etc. We need to build a club that will entice better calibre players to join. It will take time but if he is true to his word he will get some great support from our fans. We finally have something to look forward to. Premier League in five years or so would suit me if that’s what it takes. Onwards and upwards….

  13. Villa fan here.lets be honest all my nose mate's tell me that they are ligth years behind us. We have 33000 on a waiting list for season tickets. You dont even get that for a home game. So thats why you are in our shadow. The city is our's. Vtwd. SOTC.

  14. Very interesting that this “hedge fund” group made sure they bought the stadium because it’s the stadium the only thing that if it doesn’t go to plan they can asset strip..for me if their not in the premier league within “let’s give blues a fighting chance” let’s say three season I’d be very worried which direction this business model will take..investor’s especially hedge fund investors just won’t fund a business or company that’s not making money..so for me it’s premier league or bust..Coventry city…?

  15. The blues are getting settled, sky blues nice and comfortable, baggies sorting their issues positively, and now the foxes in the league, looks like the west midlands teams are going to be a force in the up coming season

  16. If you get the time Ben I would give his interview a watch. Certainly seems to get it and has connected with us fans instantly, outlining ours issues both on and off the pitch, both men and women’s teams. He also speaks on the city itself and how he sees it as a central point for the whole of the country in the future. All sounds promising. Hopefully he can deliver🤞

  17. I hope they do tbh. And that’s coming from a Villa fan! No club deserves what they’ve been through in terms of crooks running the club! We got lucky after Dr Tony!! And they have possibly produced the best English midfielder we’ve ever seen so thank them for that. All the best, blue noses.

  18. No1 cares pointless club being a villafan miss the derby ,1day they might come bck up but doubt it 😂😂

  19. Not A Chance are they on Their way Back they have never Been ??? ALL my life as a Villa Fan i long For Villa Blues Days We do the Double every year its quite remarkable but were limited to a Game or Two every few Years and the Last round of games were in Villas Darkest Hour we were on the floor and Blues loved it and still lost Now i think we have Wolves To replace them as a Rival as Blues Cirtainly Arnt a worthy Rival for Aston Villa UTV

  20. Happy for the Blues take over. It means a lot knowing that the club can move on in the right way .
as a WBA fan i can see the same thing happening with my club with Mr Lai in charge. Points deduction fighting relegation.

  21. Birmingham city have new owners and some good new signings too⚽👍👍.they look a lot more solid and should be aiming high up the league 👍.Ipswich town back up and George hirst will be a great signing too👍..can see both teams having a good season away from any relegation trouble ⚽👍👍👍…

  22. From a blues fan, niece piece mate domes up most. Thank you and KRO. We’re on are way back !!

  23. Well covered Ben. Thanks for the deep dive on the blues! The bad times have hopefully gone and the open and honest mentality from new owners is what the club needs. Keep right on 💙

  24. I am always on the side of football fans nobody should be allowed to do what has happened to Birmingham Ipswich and the likes of bury there is bad stories of some of these so called owners so its good Birmingham are alive again i did wonder if Birmingham was going to be another bury the way things where going the more clubs that are strong in the championship and all leagues the better the football we all get 👍

  25. Strangely as a villa fan I’m quite happy for them. Hopefully they can sort it out now and maybe push for the premier league.

Easy 6 points for us so I’m all for it.

    UTV.

  26. Thanks Ben! Excellent summary of the recent history and woes surrounding our club. All Bluenoses are relieved the shambles appears to be coming to an end, and looking forward to the future. We could be the dark horses for a play off place this year. Keep Right On (KRO)

  27. Blues fan here, good Video. i think it's going to take a bit of time and TLC to get the club back. I don't think this takeover has come a moment to soon. The Championship looks as competitive as ive seen it for a long time and I think it's going to be important John Eustace gets off to a decent start. If we again start hovering in and above the bottom three i think it will test the ownerships nerve come Christmas and we will see just how ambitious they are.

  28. Cheers Ben, we've heard more from our new owner than a decade worth of ownership under the Chinese …. they were in it to strip us bare, they generated debt amongst themselves and did the worst thing in my eyes, sold off the ground (between their own companies of course) and then made the blues pay rent on it …… horrible business people. They are still around unfortunately, but hopefully bit by bit they can be bought out and sent packing. KRO Bluenoses, I wanna hear less whinging and less doom and gloom next season at St Andrews, I stopped coming to home games, its depressing !!! and I've got a 3hrs drive home after we loose. KRO … SOTV !!!
