  1. Mariners aren’t willing to spend Bob lol they are having some lineup issues due to their cheap ownership lol

  2. Bob Costas is so smart love the way he talks.
damn i need to read more books.

  3. listening to Bob Costas = getting a master class in verbal communication. Most of his professional career, he is working alone as a talking head, describing a sports event or an athlete. But he is equally skilled at the art of conversation. His 7 year run hosting the late night talk show "Later" (1988-1994) might have been the best "interview" show in television history.

  4. For five years he stayed in the team's dormitory until he joined the Angels, where he turned pro at age 18. He spent less than $100 a month. He ate meals in the dorms. He has no interest in money himself. He wants his team to compete for the championship without changing his routines. Will stay Angels or its should be Dogers.

  5. No question about what wrong with Mets, Cards and Padres and what will happen at the trade deadline but Rich isn't smart enough to think of it

  6. How did you not ask Bob Costas about German's perfect game? I mean, didn't you make the comment earlier in the show that no one is talking about the perfect game, and you proceed to have Bob Costas and not talk about this historic event?

  7. Annonimity is in Ohtani's best interest. Being comfortable in Anaheim is working out pretty well. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

  8. Japanese here.

Most important thing for Ohtani obviously, is that a team let him do two way play unconditionally,.
If that does not happen, he might even go back to Japan!
Ohtani chose the Angels in 2018 because they were committed to give him the DH spot exclusively (even with Pujols) AND promise him a roster spot with 6 days rest (this part may not be applicable any more).
Second, is a perennial contending team. Not like the Giants or the Mariners, they don't have enough money consistently.
And Ohtani has said to the Japanese media back in 2018 that he does not want to sign with a team that already has a Japanese star. We dont know if he stills feels the same way, but if that is still true, he won't go to the Mets, Padres, Toronto, Boston and the Cubs.

  9. the show will be the first and only mlb player to win mvp and cy young in the same year, let alone in different years.

  10. They would say the neh no my baby…… interview classic from that moment….. only real ones would know

  11. Acuna is the best player. Hits for avg power steals bases defense cannon for an arm. Leading team to 54 wins at halfway point

  12. Ohtani loves his teammates, especially Mike. He should consider suggesting that the front office trade him to a top-five, strong farm team contender and ask for players to help the Angels reach the playoffs. This would be a win-win situation for Ohtani as he would leave his fan base with a strong playoff team while also landing himself in a strong playoff team.

  13. Never would I have EVER thought I would see the words "Shohei Ohtani" and "Pootie Tang" in the same sentence, but here we are. The 2020's are weird. Thank you, Rich Eisen.

  14. Babe Ruth does not stand alone with his bat…the dude NEVER played against Black players so to pretend that doesn’t matter is laughable,

  15. Ohtani is never going to go to an East Coast team because then it would be too late for Japanese fans to watch the games at home.

  16. Dick Pole – Larry Cox. 77’ Mariners. Best named battery of all time. Pete LaCock wasn’t available at the trade deadline.

  17. Tampa Bay would derail their entire franchise for the next 10 years if they traded for Ohtani… But if they won a ring… Maybe it's work it 👀

  18. Why is no one talking about ohtani going to Atlanta? They have proven they are willing to make big moves! And why is nobody DAYDREAMING about ohtani and acuna??!!!

  19. Um Barry Bonds IS 100% the greatest homerun hitter of all time. Costas had always been irrational in his hate because Bonds surprassed his childhood heros.
