Evander Holyfield is a retired American professional boxer who is considered one of the greatest fighters of all time. He was born on October 19, 1962, in Atmore, Alabama.

Holyfield had a successful amateur career before turning professional in 1984. He won his first 25 fights as a professional and became the undisputed cruiserweight champion in 1988. He then moved up to the heavyweight division and won the WBC, WBA, and IBF titles, becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion in 1990.

During his career, Holyfield fought some of the biggest names in boxing, including Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Riddick Bowe, George Foreman, and Larry Holmes. He was known for his exceptional conditioning, punching power, and heart, as well as his ability to take punishment and keep fighting.

Holyfield had a professional record of 44 wins (29 by KO), 10 losses, and 2 draws. He retired from boxing in 2014 at the age of 52. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2017. Outside of boxing, Holyfield is involved in various charitable and philanthropic endeavors, including his own foundation that supports underprivileged children.
