The CONCACAF Gold Cup has entered the knock-out stage and the USMNT, El Tri, Canada, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Guatemala, Qatar and Panama are the 8 teams left. The USMNT will face Canada, Jamaica will face Guatemala, Mexico will face Costa Rica and Qatar will face Panama.
But which team is the strongest and most likely to win it all? I brought Eddie, JD (@wemaxitfootball), Josh (@JJDTV96 ) & Sergio (@elnopalfc7590 ) to help me debate which is the strongest.

Josh, you seemed to be too conservative in this council discussion. Don’t forget the ball is round, and anything can happen at the international tournament. What’s really matters is tactically correct to deal with your opponents.

The USA, both men and women, have always shown a great ability to beat up on weak teams, but have many times fallen short against even borderline comparable opponents, so I wouldn't be so sure it's a lock.
Great stuff as always Pete. When Copa America happens, we need a Concacaf and Conmebol council. Filipo would probably switch to Brazil's side. LOL

Im predicting a Panama Mexico final. I hate to be so pessimistic but Panama has looked good I struggle to see how we will create chances
idk what it is about this Canada match that has me nervous. Canada's recipe for beating us in the past has been to sit back and defend, so they know how to do it well. on the other hand, i dont see how Canada scores on us in open play. if our backline is Turner, Reynolds, Robinson, Neal, and Jones with Sands protecting them as a 6 then i think it just becomes a matter of finding a goal somewhere, the earlier the better. Vitoria has not been convincing at all and i think St. Clair is pretty overrated, so i will say 2-0 USA. Cowell opens the scoring late in the first half and Vazquez scrapes home the 2nd while Canada push for an equalizer late in the match. i'll say Mexico over Costa Rica 3-0. Jamaica over Guatemala 4-1. Panama over Qatar 3-1. USA defeat Panama 1-0 in the semi and Mexico defeat Jamaica on penalties after a 1-1 draw. USA and Mexico finishes 0-0 and i wont even bother predicting who wins on penalties. i'd love a chaotic Panama – Jamaica final, but i cant see it happening. maybe one of them pulls off the upset tho. it'd be awesome to see a new country lift the trophy even at the expense of the USA

Straight up the best coverage of the tournament in the English language. Mexican media (that usually sucks at covering Gold Cup) has done a way better job this time covering the tournament compared to other times but they have nowhere near the level of representation from the different nations that you guys have on this channel. Kudos to you Pete for putting this together.

Speaking of soccer terrorism and Berhalterball anyone else watch Neal tonight and how frustrated he looked by being so constipated when it came to his passing? Watching the matches early on he was sending so many passes through lines and finding the midfielders on open spaces. Tonight you could just see him look up to find someone in midfield and everyone was just standing in their designated spots not moving so he was constantly forced to side pass. I tell ya ggg is going to destroy every talented young player we have! Interested to see how Balogun reacts/plays in this shitty system…god willing ggg plays a 4-2-3-1 and quits this garbage positional 4-3-3.
