I’ve been getting the same vibes with Lando. Seems like he’s got kind of a nonchalant approach to F1 in this terrible car rather than continuing to sharpen up against the best. We saw his drive in Sochi and how that became a learning moment but now it’s just like, eh, mid-midpack car, no real fire or pressure to create that diamond.
Why both Hamilton and Alonso can still compete with these you gun drivers even at their 40ish? It because both Hamilton and Alonso have more or less the same level performance ceiling if not higher than Max, Russell, and Leclerc, and co.The higher your performance ceiling, the longer your competitiveness longevity. The higher the drivers' talent gets in F1 year by year, the shorter your competitiveness longevity.
