HUGE Golf News: What Does PGA Tour/LIV Golf Pact Mean?
Matt and Dom explain all of the implications of the startling announcement from the PGA Tour that they will be joining with the DP World Tour and LIV Golf in a new partnership.
It means PGA tour would rather take BLOOD money than stand on what’s right. Jay enjoy your Saudi blood money. Everyone needs to boycott corporate sponsors of the PGA.
It's always about the money even though PGA pretended to take the high road until this point. PGA Tour didn't want to open their books and I don't think the Saudis wanted to open their books either. There isn't enough audience to support both tours.
With that said I couldn't care less about millionaires and billionaires fighting over money.
As a golf fan it will be nice to watch the best golfers all play on the same tour again. These non elevated PGA event fields have been pathetic Korn Ferry type stuff.
Can’t wait to see/hear Chamblee’s reaction on this merge. Will Jay stay on with the PGA Tour? I now hope Rory, go back to play golf only and leave’s politics alone. Will the players that resigned the European tour, be brought back in?
Eloquent read however, Norman I believe likely walked out the door with lots of $$$$. The PGA players must feel like the were kicked in the you know what.
It's no surprise. After losing all but one of their pretrial hearings in federal court, LIV players began abandoning their lawsuit, and LIV paid a lot of money to join the PGA Tour in exchange for the PGA Tour to stop suing them. Jay Monahan has been promoted to CEO, LIV is being dissolved, and the PGA is remaining in control. You'd have thought LIV would have tried to sell their brand and make money, but not only did they not sell for money, LIV had to pay more money to get under the PGA umbrella. In the end, Jay Monahan essentially did exactly what Phil did; He initially criticized LIV then worked out a deal with them. Greg Norman has to be extremaly upset given that he's lost his job and Jay has been promoted. Tiger and Jack have also been very outspoken against LIV, so it'll be interesting to see how they respond to this.
Peace at last. The winners are the fans. We get to see the best of the best dooking it out again. The media can get back to reporting on great shots brilliant comebacks and independent non political commentary on gameday. Tell me it is not a dream.

So should Chamblee and Lynch now resign for ethical reasons? Will Brandel resign from anything to do with the PGA Tour- pensions for example?
The recently number 1 ranked multiple major champion had to be either Rory or Rahm. There are no other candidates.
this about the PGA had there hand in the pot

You guys have fair & balanced the entire time this Liv / PGAT thing started.
Money makes Monahan a sell out moron
It means Greg Norman and Phil Mickelson were right about everyting, and Brandal Shamblee, and Rory McIlroy are assholes!!!
Hypocrites in the hood. Liars and self anointed blow hards fall again. Chamblee is probably pounding sand.
PGA players must feel like pawns. 😔
This was inevitable however disappointing
Chamblee and McCord…… has a nice ring to it !!! 😂😂
Eloquent read however, Norman I believe likely walked out the door with lots of $$$$. The PGA players must feel like the were kicked in the you know what.
Phil…… please take your victory lap !! 🎉🎉 ( And collect your pats On-The-back from the entire golf community 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
The Saudis should not trust Monahan in any way….
LIV team owners are big winners
OWGR board must all be fired and replaced with people of integrity
Sportsbetting….on golf
It takes one day to work out a ranking system…the OWGR board is a disgrace
