Lakers Knew Warriors Were Running Darvin Ham’s “Hammer Play” ๐Ÿ˜…

Draymond Green’s final turnover came on a play that many credit Lakers head coach Darvin Ham with inventing called the “Hammer” play.

  1. Fans acting like they know if a coach is good or bad is the funniest thing in basketball. One minute y'all calling Ham the worst coach in the league the next minute yall hugging his nuts for beating the warriors. foh

  2. Cool story, but the warriors ran this play against lebron a couple times in the cavs/warriors finals match-ups, that's why lebron knew where the ball was going and sent AD to the corner

  3. To be fair, Kerrโ€™s Plays are mix of great offensive plays from Phil Jackson and Pop to other great coaches. Mixed with their famous โ€œscreensโ€. Itโ€™s great seeing teams finally understanding how to defend a point and shoot team

  4. Kerr thought he was being clever. That's some Seahawks bullshit right there

  5. This is dumb… Lebron saw the screens called them out. Everyone knew Curry or Klay shooting and the Lakers clearly decided they were switching on screens so Lebron saw the screen for Klay then switched with Davis, and green put himself in a bad spot. They didnt need to know anything to defend a bad play call, poor execution… it isnt that that deep

  6. That's to show you how full of themselves the gsw was ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ tryin to beat the coach with a play that's name after him

  7. The warriors have been running this play for a long time. Itโ€™s just a fake hand off cuz they usually overreact to Steph. Donโ€™t be fooled

  8. This was not his play, Itโ€™s been around forever. End of game situations, the defense 99% of the time switch everything. Thatโ€™s what happened here that lead to the turnover. Not what narcissist Ham would have you believe though.

  9. LOL the problem is draymond green thought he was that guy to draw a crowd under the basket so he could make an easy pass to klay in the corner for three. Draymond is nowhere near a guy who draws crowds lmao. Warriors need to just start rebuilding now. You have zero chance at another ring, sorry.

  10. Why did the possion end in a jump ball? I'm not saying the refs were wrong, it just looked to me like Anthony Davis had possession and the Warrior tried to take the ball. Possession seemed pretty clear to me, so if there was contact I thought that was just a foul. I'm used to seeing jump balls when both players are trying to get possession. What did I miss about this, or misunderstand about the rule?

  11. So draymond makes a terrible decision and throws trash pass and somehow this means the lakers knew what play it was and it was Ham's "hammer play"? What an absurd video. Draymon dribbled way to deep to the baseline then left his feet. 2 mistakes right there. That is what caused the turnover. He couldn't shoot because of the angle and him going to far and he jumped. It's 100% on draymond and this isn't the 1st time he's done something like this.

  12. LeBron saw all the moves 2 secs in advance. No dunks or flashy blocks, but this was in fact a bigger sign of basketball greatness that 99.5% of the attendees probably missed (and I would have missed it too).
Apart from that, how could Draymond so blindly execute the play and throw the ball away like that?

  13. Lebron really called out everybody movement and that fact he knew he could trust shroder and AR15 lakers all the way

  14. When green got stuck he had the potion of throwing the ball off AD to restart the play. Didnโ€™t have to force that pass and a turnover.

  15. I will never understand why they don't just make the time out call a button on a small controller that the coach pushes which lights up a string of lights around the edge of the court much like the lights that light up on the backboard when the shot clock expires. That way a timeout call by the coach will never be missed by the officials. You can clearly see AD pointing at Ham to the official and saying "we called timeout". How come i gotta be smarter than the whole entire NBA organization….

  16. Lebron may not play D at the all-defensive level he used to, but his mental defense is outstanding – he controls the defense like a general controls his army

  17. LeBron highest IQ player the league. He's done this multiple times in his career where he understand what the opposing team will do and counters accordingly by organizing his teammates. He's said it multiple times, don't worry about the plays, I'll take care of that, just make your shots.

  18. Steph wanted the ball from Draymond, who insisted on running the play. I wonder if Steph saw Lebron calling things and knew the play was busted. Draymond should have just given the ball to Steph….

  19. This guy said he would always draw a big crowd when he went to the basket ๐Ÿ˜‚. Ham was a career 2.7 ppg. No one cared what he was doing on the court.
    Cmon

  20. This was useful especially the statement at the end about the conflicting mindset of wanting to go but also feeling a bit anxious. great video!
