One week before the U.S Open, the PGA TOUR heads to Oakdale Golf & Country Club in Canada for the RBC Canadian Open. About to turn 100 years old, Oakdale will be hosting Canada’s national championship for the first time. Rory McIlroy headlines the field and will be looking to build on his T7 finish at the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday last week. As a two-time defending champion of the tournament, the Northern Irishman will be the man to beat. Tyrrell Hatton enters the tournament in strong form after finishing in the top 20 in five consecutive events since the RBC Heritage in April. Matt Fitzpatrick will also have a strong chance in Canada this week. Despite an opening-round 76, he finished T9 at Muirfield Village Golf Club, five shots off the lead. He’ll look to stay hot this week in preparation for his U.S Open title defense. Expectations are high for Corey Conners. Being Canada’s highest-ranked player and finishing T12 at the recent PGA Championship, there’s anticipation he could be the first Canadian to win the national championship since Pat Fletcher in 1954. Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood and Shane Lowry will also be looking to take top spot in Canada.

Rory da goat. Spoke for what he believed in. Even if it didn’t work out you gotta respect somebody who is strong enough to willingly put himself in a position that will bring negativity and spite
Lol. I don't know what's better; Rory's birdie on 10, or his golf hooligan following.
Glad he's got the crowd. Those really small greens we call postage stamps.
Maybe Rory will join the Canadian tour now 🤷♂️
Great drive. Hammered that ball
Rory's gained a lot of respect and a lot of fans through all of this. This malarkey is far from done and I hope he keeps his head up and continues to represent the best of what golf can be.
one more round before he folds.
Man got played like a fiddle by the PGA
I fired a bogey-free round the other day. Plenty of doubles though.
Rory can win his first start on the Liv Tour ⛳
He turned down 500 million?
It’s the fury of being betrayed by Jay 😂
This Rory kid might pull together a win at some point! Helluva career he’ll likely have.
Should have taken the money
Rory threw his friends and fellow players under the bus the first chance he got. Hopefully he learned not to side with management bc they don’t care about you Rory just the money you provide them with
Nice solid round by Rory. The Canadian Open crowd seems awesome
I don't think I fired a bogey-free round the other day but I believe it was a birdie free round.
That 320 yard 3 wood its just nuts. Blockie could use that length for sure!
his putting tempo has increased with faxon
Incredible how talented these guys are–wow!
So much character for this guy. Despite the rough times he's going through, he's still there. Obviously the purest swing on the planet
I think tiger, and Rory should go together and create their own tour.
320 with a 3 wood, my freakin christ
He's the best ⛳ 🏌️♂️ 👍
