    The players who didn't take the Saudi money and don't want to in the future should organize and find a corporation or billionaire sports owner who would like to get in the golf business and start a competing tour. The PGA Tour doesn't own the players. Make the Saudi PGA Tour buy them out in a few years, they will get their LIV size payday and can decide whether to retire or go back to the Saudi PGA Tour and take the blood money.

    It’s an elite game for elite people in an elite bubble.

    The takeaway: Money talks and it doesn’t really matter where it’s coming from. The PGA players who didn’t jump to LIV before ARE fools. But they were all fools even before this. You hit a ball with a stick for lots of money. The world isn’t going to suffer in your absence.

    This feels like the final episode of Succession where Mattson swoops in and buys the lot and just places a "front-man" as the CEO of the new entity. In this case, Jay Monahan is Tom Wambsgans 😀. Bit of a hollow victory but I guess he'll be richer as a result.

    The PGA tour folded just to accommodate a cash grab, the LIV Tour was in serious trouble. They have shown themselves to be shamelessly dishonourable in the shadow of big money. They have hung the players that supported them out to dry. You can just imagine the comments in the locker room and on course, either spoken or implied, from the traitors who left the PGA, but are now coming back tens if not hundreds of millions of dollars better off for their treachery. The players coming back should be forced to return the money they received, and then evenly distribute it between all the members of the new combined tour. Everyone then is on a level playing field once again regarding finance. Our wonderful honourable game has just had it's integrity totally put in question, and golf will not be the same again until the "LIV Gang" filter out of the new tour. Stand proud Rory, you are a principled man.

    End of the day, bad money exists all over including in the USA. So I find it hypocritical for American’s to suggest that somehow the Saudi money is worse than American money…. PGA players already took money from all over the world. And what about the DP World Tour, was that totally fine yet LIV was totally bad?

NOT enough to kill PGA’s UNPATRIOTIC choice. LIV golf could Only get the Cheaters, Coke Heads and Tax Evaders from PGA to join. Don’t forget the players with the LEAST amount of Sportsmanship.     Really? This was a hostile takeover of the PGA of America by the Saudis to buy their way to respectability. They bought The Masters at Augusta, The US Open, The Players, Ryder Cup, Presidents Cup. Fck the Saudis buying America's golf. What a sellout. Merger? What a joke!

    Since when is the Golf Channel run by the PGA Tour? It's owned by NBC. The PGA Tour is a non-profit organization. The players are on an advisory board. An advisory board advices. They don't make any decisions. All these PGA Tour players who have characterized the LIV tour as run by terrorist money, should resign from the PGA Tour. We don't want you to sacrifice your reputations.
