I was always taught to keep up to the group in front and if a full hole is lost then you invite the following group to play through.
How about a more significant stroke penalty. The players can deal with a 1
or 2 shot penalty. But if u say gave them a 5 shot penalty as that’s an effectively an extra hole you’re adding in. Might take someone in contention to out of the mix so the players would have to consider does taking a 52 degree or 56 degree shot better for my 30 yard pitch.
As a golf instructor myself, I’ve witnessed other coaches teaching juniors a pre shot routine that takes so much time and it’s not club related, it’s looking up staring at the target constantly. It’s like someone bouncing the ball constantly but it’s the kids looking at the ball, then the target over and over again. They have trouble pulling the trigger
Get rid of caddies,then give the players an electric trolley and a range finder,this would definitely speed the game up.😊😂
Do away with course referees, the worst moment in golf recently was Spieth taking 45 mins to hit a shot at royal Troon, would never have been allowed/happen at club or amateur level. Total joke

I'm not a slow player. I don't spend 10 minutes looking for a lost ball. But nothing makes my game worse than rushing or changing my routine to speed up play. I don't enjoy the game if I'm getting rushed.
Most effective method: give everybody 15 mins a hole once time runs out that’s your score regardless…. Also if you do 1 hole in 10 mins the 5 carries on to the next hole so you will get 20mins on hole 2 so either way it will take 4 hours and 30 mins every round of golf… problem solved….. 👍🏻
Have a "Shotgun start" Maybe this would speed up the game some.

The playing partners should get the option to subtly signal to the rule official to commence a 2 minute timer to take a shot that is only effective for the shot anytime they feel like someone is either taking too long or intentionally doing it to hurt their game. Make it in control of the players and have a 2 minute safety net before if can be played each shot to prevent it from being abused but still keep the golfers in the know that they need to pick up the pace
Slow golf at the club level is there for 1 reason and 1 reason only, OVERBOOKING by greedy clubs; just make the tee times 15min apart and not 10 min apart. If you are in a hurry, golf isnt for you.
Bollocks they get practice rnds they shouldn't be allowed to use yardage books or range finders there the best of the best do all that practice shit not in real tournament golf
truth is PGA doesn't want to speed up play. they have a window for TV that must be filled by contact. If they finish early they will pay….PGA knows how to get to the finish line very well. they're not going to mess with it.
To me all this is new , 2 years ago I was only watching stuff involving Bubba Watson (cause i'm a lefty) but watching your video (which is very good) what "other" was lol

Agghhh.. no shot clock mate! Golf needs to remain separate from other sports! It's not a team sport. The few that violate the time requirement should not be the purpose to enforce change. Simple penalized those who are in violation of this by imposing $$ fines! Leave the flag stick in, allow a digital range finder be used and add a wind condition monitor on the tee box and on the fairway to be displayed. Solution solved!
