  1. I fit for a retail chain here in the U.S. and I can say I can't stand the way some of the fitters work.. I've seen them delete shots just to make certain things look better than they actually are such as dispersion, distance, etc… clearly some shots you should take out especially if they're shanks, or tops, etc.. but when fitting a driver that they left out to the right because of an open face but have a smash factor of 1.47 and the fitter will delete it.. Make sure they're not doing this to you as well.. just to make one club look better than another.

  2. Bad .. staff in the shop were slagging my swing off behind my back .. I over heard them .. very unprofessional.

  3. I said it before. Some years back a major major brand had a fitting day, I launched their driver 35 yards further than my own, so with xstiff rombax upgrade shaft I'd spent a load of dosh..

When I got my driver it was 35 yards shorter than the one from fitting. I went back to them at another fitting paid money and had exactly the same driver launching once again 300+ guy said this is the driver for you.

So I pulled out the exact same model I'd bought the month before, teed it up and over 10 shots it was again 30 yards shorter than the one used in fitting..

What they had done was thin the face of the demo models, all of them, so when you hit them.. boom of they flew..

I was not a happy chap at being duped by the biggest scam…

  4. Bad, very bad. The salesperson said that I wasn't capable of using a fitted driver, as my swing inhaled. I had only been playing for a month or so and was tired of borrowing my buddy's extra set of clubs.

  5. Absolutely crap@#*!
It was some time ago and went to a well known store with a well known pro…..he handed me a seven iron and because I hit it quite well he told me that that was the brand and irons I needed….no data whatsoever and I later found out that he was that brand ambassador so had a vested interest in the clubs…. sorry but I would never trust a pro fitter again unless I know someone who has been to them…. just what happened to me and I know that not all fitters are like this but you are potentially spending a lot of money and want to make sure as much as you can that you can trust your fitter 😤😖👿

  6. I've had good fittings and bad .. bad, was a driver fitting at a local Pro shop where I was handed 5 different brand drivers.. told to hit them, and then they tried to sell me the one I hit best out of a bad bunch 😂, no shaft/loft change, trackman or anything.. it was like being fitted in the 80s 😂.

Best fitting was with a certain Japanese brand that starts with S 😉, I told the fitter I wasn't swinging great that day.. so he re-booked me in for a further two fittings to make sure I got the best results outta 3. Iron and wedges were all off grass. 👍 I won't go for iron fittings on matts as they can hide bad impacts.
