Why amateur golfers can’t create compression (what they don’t tell you golf tips)

Why Amateur Golfers can’t create Compression, this is Simple and NEVER SEEN! This method is PROVEN! Get in the slot and start creating compression very easily. This video is focusing on an area in the golf swing that you wouldn’t of thought would have ANYTHING to do with compression!

The REAL REASON Why Amateurs Can’t Create Compression and I Have No Idea Why You’re Not Told This! CONTROL THE GOLF CLUB FACE IN THE GOLF SWING & THIS IS HOW YOU CREATE COMPRESSION. 90% golfers don’t do this and this is Why amateur golfers can’t create compression (what they don’t tell you golf tips)

The backswing is VERY important in relation to compressing the golf ball. Getting in slot is a necessity in the golf swing, you open the club face through the backswing, and your chances of getting into a compressed position if your face is open is minimal! If the face is open then you can duff iron shots, lose distance with your irons and so on.

All golfers no matter their age or ability want to strike their irons longer, strike their irons like the tour pros, strike irons straighter, hit more fairways, hit more greens and reduce your handicap.

Golfers need to learn to compress their irons, square the club face, make better contact with the golf club, stop opening the club face, the list goes on!

  1. Fantastic video as usual. Alex, much appreciated.I’m going to the backyard to pull the imaginary ball back. Wow it feels so much different than my usual routine. Results I’m sure will come

  2. I made a mental not to remind me to make a mental note Alex..at the net now..cheers young fella..Again!!!?

  3. I hereby decree that May 14th, Mother’s Day, forthwith be Changed to Alex Elliott Day. He is the Supreme Ruler of all Golf Instructors!

  4. Another 1st class video. I would like to know, when striking the ball, I rarely take a divot. Sometimes, i bruise the grass after the ball. But mainly, it's a clean hit. The only time I really hit the grass and take a divot is with a fat shot.
Are divots really necessary? When I hit it clean, the ball generally flies well.

  5. Great video, can you do a follow up video? If I do this I hook the ball like a mad man. How can I stop that?

  6. There is a very slight difference between a fat shot and a nicely struck compressed shot…you need to think "hit down" and "dig"….most golfers think they need to help the ball into the air….the exact opposite is true….hit down…the ball goes UP….once you get this feeling you will take a nice divot and produce nice shots with back spin on the greens.
It's not that hard once you get the feel of what a compressed shot really is.

  7. I have to mention it again, Alex. Down, out, and up backswing is beautiful. Club head direction from the actual impact position. I'm in business.

  8. The triangle takeaway really made a difference in my game for a few months. Much more repeatable than the thingy I did before that

  9. I'm confused: at the 2:27 mark, you are not compressing the ball. Your hands are not ahead of the ball and your left wrist is in the "flipping" position, I like the idea of your video, but that overhead shot looks like my (bad) impact position.

  10. Setting correctly is SO important, that’s why the Faldo/Leadbetter drill works so well… it’s a set and turn… almost zero swing thought and a balanced finish guaranteed.

  11. Hi Alex.
I have a thought and want to see what you think?
I look at those poor caddies on tour and can't help thinking how heavy that tour bag is with everything they need.
With all the laws & regulations that demand health & and safety, isn't there a maximum for a single person to lift and keep doing it for 6 hours over 4km every day??
I should the rules change where they are permitted to use a trolley..
This may be a quest for us?
Ps. Love the videos, thank you.
